We still play Clicky Tech in Anaheim California. It is played at St. Crispin's Irregulars Hobby Day on the 2nd Sat of the month. Located at 1127 N. Anaheim Blvd . About 5 minutes away from Disneyland. There you can play all types of miniatures games for a whole day for free.
This whole ruler thing for movement targetting has plenty of flaws.. especially in the heat of the moment when both players are vying for top position..
Amen to this, they kinda ruined most of the mech models w/ this Project phoenix version mechs..who the heck are Proj phoenix? they made most of the mechs look just lame..but I still have my units b/c I liek the whole MW thing, big killer robots lol...too cool
Yep, thats exactly why I'm selling my Mechwarrior minis to buy Battletech minis. When Wizkids got a hold of Mechwarrior they ruined it like Microsoft did when they made MechAssult. Besides Painting and customizing your minis is way more fun than just buying them pre-done.
They took away the sense of personal expression and artistic creativity that existed amongst players of the origional series.
In a way they improved it with the click bases and new game mechanics...
In the BattleTech series the tournaments were played according to era's, just like in mech, however entire series were not discontinued for tournament play like what happened to MW dark age... I stocked up on dark age, and then overnight, "poof", no more tournament legality with my "ENTIRE" army...
As far as Wizkids is concerned. They no longer hold the license for anything Battletech. It is owned by Catalyst Games Labs.

Where in Germany was this?
It reminds me of two stores I played at - one in Heidelberg and the other in Schweinfurt.

Wizkids killed this game and Mage Knight. Now with their distribution things are worst.

Yeah.. well technically, WizKids fouled up the whole battletech universe..
