By "I Love 1970s/80s/90s..." standards, that's not a bad feature! Neighbours did begin in the UK in 1986. The worst thing about "I Love..." was the inaccuracies. Watching the pop culture features on "I Love 1970s" I kept saying, "I thought that was 1980!" or "Wasn't that 1968?" Checking the facts, I was usually right! And a lot of the talking heads were bitchy.
This cant be 24 years ago please tell me it has not been that long. We had two world wars in that time. I remember this time so well. The neighbours cast is probably the one clear memory I have from this decade. I'm so sad!!! What ever happened to the girl that played Jane, Dont think I have ever seen her again.
I loathed the "I Love..." series. It was just part of many similar programmes designed to put the usual parade of minor 'celebs' on the tv. Who needs endless no-names telling us what they've just seen? If the self-promoters weren't clogging up these kind of programmes and we just had an occasional voice-over instead by someone with more than half a brain I'd be quite happy to watch.
yeah, what bugged me was that the Talking Heads such as Rhona Cameron; Peter Kay, etc. always appeared to be 'reminiscing' about the featured shows when they had clearly just been shown the tapes immediately before being interviewed in order to 'jog their memories'.

I loved "I love 1980s" but I do agree about the errors. According to them, The A-Team started in 1984 when, as any die-hard A-Team fans like me would say, it actually began airing in the UK in 1983.
Great video. Did you know that Alan Fletcher who plays Neighbours was in the show before? Yep, he played a machanic when Kylie "Talentless" Minogue was in it.
The Scott and Charlene Wedding was broadcast in Australia in 1987 and in the UK in 1989 - not 1986!

Hate this type of documentary style. It ruins everything stating the obvious. TV Tack.

I hated the BBC's "I Love 1970s" and "I Love 1980s". They were filled with sneery people and factual errors.

Anybody know where I can buy that "I love..." series?
I saw it on the tv a couple of years ago, it was great.
TVTimeMachine 4 years ago
Unfortunately it's not available to buy anywhere. The best you can do is go on to the BBC website and there's clips on there.

Also if you request and mention interest, BBC4 may do the programme

FYI, "Real Wild Child" would be used as one of the theme songs to Australian-made music clip show "Rage"
