i've been quite a long oldfield fan, and I honestly dislike when he uses other vocalists to sing his songs which initially featured Maggie Reilly on voice;

and yes, I don't like how Pepsi DeMacque sings; perhaps in other music genres she would do better, but this one is not one of her strong points

@Mike1GH -, As an old fan, I cannot disagree more.

First, this bad quality youtube video is not the real deal.

Secondly, the details in Pepsi's voice are amazing and everytime I listen to her I find something new.

That's exactly the reason why Oldfield picked her.

As a fan of Oldfield you should have feeling for this.

People should stop acting ignorant anyway.

Pepsi was there, Maggie not.

So be it, stop crying and just enjoy this amazing voice by an amazing woman who did a great job.

@DaSmooth listen to her singing man in the rain from this concert . sadly her voice , which don't take me worong is excellent , just does'nt seem to suit mike oldfields music . if you listen to maggie reilly who was the original singer on this song you would hear the difference . p.s my opinion is not based on this clip alone it is based on a proper video that was released of this concert .

@irishmanufan Well, Maggies voice is a bit smoother and more relaxed, but I think Pepsis voice is very vivid and appealing, especially in this song.

I actually like them both on their own merits, but I prefer Pepsi.

And as an added bonus the whole girl is of course completely knock out gorgeous and charming!!!

@irishmanufan - Then we have different opinions because to me Pepsi's voice sounds better.

Maggie is amazing but this concert's version of "man in the rain" is the best I have ever heard.

Opinions differ but I feel that I have the right on my side since Oldfield would have never picked a singer not suitable for his music.

Even, a more girly higher piched voice like Maggies would have been easier to find than the deep relaxed voice of Pepsi.

So to me he knew he was doing and it works perfect.
