hey everybody. Honestly, I haven't used Sony Vegas for about 3 years, so I don't actually remember any of this.

However,

I'm willing to receive any solutions people might suggest that can fix either this black screen error or any other problems, which I will then post as an Annotation and in the Description.

I see people are still commenting about it years after the creation of this video and I don't want to see anyone else in despair. So please message me about it and I'll see what I can do!

@XxKinoWolfxX It did this to me. The solution for me was to click the yellow boxes (loop region limits) on top of the timeline and drag them so they woul be at teach end of the timeline of my video, i.e., cover your video with the loop region or it will only save the loop region.

Well I use Vegas for all the cool effects and make the vid longer than needed render it the. Open it in windows movie maker for easier editing and making clips ...I make alot of gifs so it works for me great

How do you save a file so that when you open it again the next time it is untouched, because when I save my files so that they are still editable, the next time I open it it says there was an error of saving only some of the video, and it was flattened into one track.

@MonksteinSpunky I know what may be your problem then.. when your making video... you know where youput pictures and songs? look a lil' bit up..an you will se a gray line with something yellow on every end..you need to stretch that line from the begining to the end of you movie..sometimes that line is small,like few sec of vid..and when you save you actually save the long of that line

about the black thing - I had similar issues, it was fixed by un-checking the 'Render play loop only' or something like that in the render dialog. I had found some other people resolving similar issue by selecting 'No Resample' on each video item. Hope this helps.

Thanx for that info, That helped in dealing with the Bars... everytime I would render, it would do like 5-7 secs... but then after reading that, and moving the 2 yellow bars to cover the whole video, it saved it all... Good info there!

Okay, I've gotten a bunch of people saying that they agree, that this doesn't work for them.

I was able to get some video conversions working, though, after doing a lot of stuff and trying different things. I'll put up what seemed to work for me.

Go to "Render as", then next to Template, click the "Custom" button.

Then, you go in there and click the "Video" tab, and you have to choose a REAL video format, like MPEG4 or something, not the default. Hope this helps.
