  • @highschoolmusical841 As a band with Vivian Stanshall. I was only writing in the past tense of the original band, not the musicians that are still with us. I feel like I'm about to meet a David Mitchell soapbox moment.

  • leuk liedje voor een boswandeling!!!!!

  • Sadly (!) I have to admit that I had this on eight track (look it up!) in my beach buggy (look that up too!) and I wore it out. I then met, very briefly, the great Viv. I loved the man, his music and his phenomenal wit. I bought it again!

  • I'm not prejudiced: I hate Indians AND Pakis.

  • Kurt cobain love this song when he was 15 ;]

  • @iangs123 Who gives a flying fuck?

  • @ecnalubma696969 anyone with curiosity a desire for learning interesting miscellany and anyonw with half a brain. Only a sosciopath resents people he doesnt know, dickhead. Show some fucking humility

  • @Dudeness21 OK bitch.

  • Что лучше: "Hunting Tigers" или "Ali Baba's Camel" ?

    Я не знаю !

    Обе хороши.

  • don't care in what part of you they fix their threadwork sets

  • @mosttiptoptopcat Actually it's fretwork sets.

  • @noragallivant back about 25 years ago i knew this gal from england and i was flipping on the bonzos at this time, particularly this song. i was lost on some of these lyrics and brought her the song. she's the one who said threadwork, and it makes some sense, though. the line refers to teeth, and one uses teeth when messing around with threads. but i defer to your accuracy. in any case this is my favorite song by these talented fellas. never knew it was a cover until a few days ago.

  • how many tigers can you find with forks and serviettes?

    ha ha ha

  • @misterjoecool: nope - t'other way round. I was brought up on this lot & the world would be a better place today if everyone had been.

  • I never realized it but they must have influenced very early Roxy Music - image wise - and the first shot is kinda reminiscent - in a freakish, non-glam way - of the inside sleeve of For Your Pleasure.

  • @misterjoecool Uh, nothing! Sorry.

  • Love this song.. <3

  • There's a wonderful 3 CD compilation called Cornology, if you're not lucky enough to find the original record albums.

  • @ecnalubma696969 And we all find you disgusting

  • Good, so you can go back to that cesspool you call a homeland.

  • I have no idea what you're on about, which is probably just as well, you sick idiot.

  • @ecnalubma696969

Welcome to the Diplomatic Service. You're just the kind of person we need in these economising times. With people like you, we won't need to send ambassadors anywhere in a few years.

  • What album is this song part of, because I think this is one of their best songs and i would like to buy the album, but I don't know its name!

  • Tadpole.

  • @hawkmoon03111951 this is one of Stephen fry's Favourite song

  • the album is call the intro and the outro

  • The LP is called Tadpoles. Their is a compilation cd 'Volume 2 The Outro' which has it on. 'The Intro and the Outro' itself was a track on their first LP 'Gorilla'.

  • @julesmainman yup intro and outro , and there is also dogends ! :-)

  • I play this song on the piano for my Grand Daughter and she LOVES it. Thank you Vivian and Bonzos et al for all the great songs.

  • I also have a version by Albert Whelan, recorded in 1929. There is another version on You tube, purporting to be the original. It might be, it is an early recording, but there is no information in the notes.

  • @hawkmoon03111951 You have discovered the Bonzo's secret. The band bought 78's from the worldwide depression of the late 1920's, and most of the 1930's. They went to used record shops. This song is one of those old 78's. The Bonzo's were amazed how cheerful, and funny some of these songs were during a period of economic peril. They (BDDDB) adapted those old songs to a late 1960's British audience. In most cases they improved upon the original version, they were all great musicians.

  • I think it's time to bring them back, aren't we in peril enough now?

  • @newmoon51 May I ask where you got the piano music from? I've been searching in vain for it for ages!

  • @happyhippy91 I sussed it out myself. Drop me a line at newmoon51@yahoo and I'll type out a chart and send it to you. It's easy. Regards, Crash

  • There's a good live version on You Tube on Do not adjust your set

  • I saw this band when I was but 16 - had no effing idea what they were up to. As I got older I totally came to love them. This is my fave tune of theirs... I think. Yah!

  • love this song!

  • This sounds like you've put a microphone to your speakers. :P

  • Great band...Bonker's...but Great...
