Back in the early 1980's, Paul released Ebony and Ivory as a vinyl single and a solo version of Ebony and Ivory was on the vinyl single. My guess is that he made this solo video to go along with the solo version.

I just got one question though. Did Paul McCartney release this solo video version of this song in order to get this video on MTV? Keep in mind that not only MTV was not accepting black artists in 1982, but they really frowned on interracial collaborators at that time.
