Evelyn burns daughter died and it is terrible. Why didn't they try giving her a narcotic pain reliever to help her - then possible she wouldn't have had to take so much tylenol. Some Doctors are afraid to prescribe pain killers to women. They often prescribe/ treat pain more in men as they tend to believe it more. This is a sad story.

This is a war on pain patients. Vicodin is hydrocodone + tylenol. Percocet is oxycodone + tylenol. Physicians are reluctant to prescribe hydrocodone or oxycodone because of the potential snort it. Physicians will prescribe the version with tylenol because the potential to snort it is largely eliminated and because tylenol enhances the relief by altering different pain pathways. Physicians will end up declining to treat pain if the products including tylenol are removed .
To address the toxicity issue, tylenol products should include NAC. Studies show that NAC protects the liver from tylenol. Tylenol products should be uniform at 325mg per dose and include proper labels.
Removing tylenol products from the market will cause more harm, not less because people will chose products that cause gastric injury.
These experts know this, so I question their motives. This is a war on pain patients. Next they will remove the sharp edge from steak knives.

They get scared because one or two people get sick because they overdose, (and yes, it causes liver damage IF YOU OVERDOSE) and they want to avoid a lawsuit. why not just take ibuprofen or some other NSAID? There's plenty of alternatives to acetaminophen that treat similar problems.
