Very creative. Dude, your humor is very close to mine, I'm tellin ya. I love dry, witty, random humor! The occasional subtlety of your jokes are great ("maybe I was right..."). And for being the only actor for all the roles requires some impressive camera tricks and smooth editing, and you pulled it off! Must've been time-consuming. I like your style. Good work.
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! This was my most time consuming and so far my best work so, I'm really glad that you found it funny! Thanks for all the comments on my videos!
Well, it wasn't too bad, as you'll see if you keep looking at my work I usually play all the characters, not always though.
In order to remember where the other character was, I put cardboard boxes where they would be standing. Thanks for the comments! Glad you like my stuff!
This movie was nothing short of amazing. For one thing, the cinematography was pure eye candy. Although it was slightly disorientating when you broke the 180 degree rule (beginning around 2:58), the lighting was masterfully done and you had a wide and creative array of camera angles. The writing and acting went beyond my expectations from you; your experience really shows. This is quite an achievement of which you should be very proud. Excellent job, my friend.
Thank you so much man, really, it means a lot that so many people are seeing my work on new levels above the rest of my stuff.
Now, about this 180 degree rule, this is one of those things in film I have yet to figure out exactly what it is, I've heard of it but, it's never been clearly explained to me, and I'd like to know what it is so as to better my films. Would you mind clarifying that for me?
Basically, you've got a circle. One point on the circle is where the camera is recording. In the center of that circle is the subject that's being recorded. Parallel to the point the camera is on is an imaginary line that intersects the subject (axis of action). The first shot that the audience will see of this subject will be an angle that aids in defining its blocking. For the most part, we first see the right side of Hector's face as well as the door he entered through.
However, at about 2:58, the shot has changed to show the left side of his face and a counter top, and no door can be seen. Although it may not have been more than 180 degrees (crossing the axis), the camera has switched from its original point on the circle that makes it look as though the cut is reversed.
This can be distracting to the viewer's attention as the angle has significantly deviated from the established perspective of the subject, and may make it seem as though what's in this new shot has just suddenly appeared. It's not a filmmaking crime to break this rule, though; there are plenty of successful directors who have done so (in most cases to make an artistic statement). But for the most part, it's generally avoided.
I'm not always the best with explanations (especially if I only get to use text). If it helps, I'd recommend looking up "continuity editing" on Wikipedia, as you'll find some good tips on the 180 degree rule in addition to other areas of filmmaking.
Well thank you very much for all the explanation, it was very helpful. I think the reason I make these mistakes the most is because I am filming in a house, not on a set, so, I actually do have the whole 360 degrees to work with. I did however, use cardboard boxes as body doubles for the other characters so as not to mess up the continuity with who was sitting where. I'll keep all this in mind when I film my next movie, thanks again :D

My dad always watches black and white, old, sci-fi stuff. This was almost as ridiculous as they are. Very funny, good camera angles, and good split-screening. You could barely notice the line where you cropped the video (the black and white helped with that). 10/10
And yeah, I used proper lighting with the split screen, which helped, and I feathered it which made it a lot less noticeable than a big solid line down the middle.
I like how you zoomed in on a video clip to get a close-up angle without having to re-film that scene, but since you don't have a pro camera, it kinda made it look a little blurry. Try saving that technique for your future camera, Chris.
Yeah, I had seen the angle cropping technique used in a few movies and I personally think it's a great way to preserve smoothness of dialog, and covering mistakes without refiling an entire shot. I know it suffers the quality a bit, and I don't plan to over use it just for that reason. But, I will use it, just to shake things up.
Thanks a lot Knox, and yeah, that would be great :D
And well, basically, just as Hector starts to think maybe there aren't any actual invisible men, one of them throws a hat at him and then knocks him out :P
I know it's abrupt but, I don't know, it seemed right to me.
The best part about this truly hilarious movie was the camera. THe fact that with the exception of about 7 seconds, the camera could only be trained on one person (because we all know Chris has no clones, well, not many), kinda gave it a B movie feel, making it more awesome.
Hey good job Chris. This had a much deeper plot than some of your other work, which was nice to see. And you left me hanging, wanting to see more in the end! Which really is good, since usually a 10 minute youtube video gets boring. I didn't think it would be over when it was! thumbs up!
Now for a real comment on the video. YOUR BEST ONE YET. CHRISTPOPHER THIS IS AMAZING! IT GIVES ME SO MUCH RESPECT I ALMOST WANT TO STOP E-TOUCHING YOUR GIRLFRIEND!
You've just made the funniest video I have ever seen on Youtube. Perfectly executed, the writing was practically genius and the acting was superb. Fived and favourited.
