No it isnt a cheat... this is an online battle glitch. if your vba lags raelly badly, these things actularry occur. infact, my vid on things you will hate in a online mmbn6 battle (any of the 3) proves every single glitch or hated things in a battle. if you still dont belive me you might as well get yourself a image of mmbn6 and battle someone in lag. and please, there is no pause glitch, get that fact straighten out.
lag does affect the gameplay... it either gives out a weird color megaman, permantly remove panels, change attack power of chips, etc. watch the video response that he link to my vid and see what it can cause you.

The 'black' or no chips happens if you use some cheat codes that give you 'special' chips, etc.
The thing coming out of your back was your flinching sprite, since a time stopping chip was used, it didn't change yet.
Both of you have no proof that neither of you pressed pause. It's obvious that one of you two did that.
When you try making a glitch video, make it at least somewhat believable.

Well, it's one of those side effects of cheat devices such as a gameshark or codebreaker.

Lag doesn't effect things like sprites loading out of battle (out of battle, meaning at custom screen)
The worst lag can do is slow down the battle, etc. Nothing else. It might change how you play, but not anything more.
