Magic Dragon Reanimator Deck

Awful deck. No protection/counters whatsoever, you'll lose to Storm decks before even drop your first land. Against control you'll never be able to reanimate, since you have no protection and or counters, as previously stated. Against aggro you MAY, just may drop an dragon, but will be unable to stop their army from beating your face. Bring this deck to any serious tourney and you'll be laughed on.

i have a suggestion:minimize the number of powerful creatures in your deck, you don't need many, instead, you could invest in defense of counters

actually if u check entomb has been removed form the restricted/ banned list.....it was restricted back in 2006 and was removed form restriction in 2009 so you can now have 4 in a deck.... if u can afford them that is.

Very nice! Perfect, the reanimator tactic is almost perfect!

I would use blue and brainstorms of course, but who cares? x_x

But I would also use Inkwell Leviathan and not dragons. I know the video is old, just throwing an idea on the table. :D

im thinking of making one of these but using platinum emperion and wurmcoil engine from the new scars of mirrodin set with necropentance and tinker

One of the only decks I can see working still in legacy is green/red reanimation with sacred wolf and birds of paradise. And topped off with color resistant creatures and anti-instants. But a deck like that would cost you a fortune if you don't have the cards. Before M11 was released, one of the few still unbroken decks was goblin mono-red land destruction.

Which in itself could only really be countered by a milling deck or a upkeep KO on a winning first turn roll since last year the big choice for players was milling and land grab. (Although M11 has made it way more convenient for everyone to do this now, lucky milling cards are rare as hell in boosters though).

As a Jund deck player myself I will confidently say that Red/Black, Red/Black/Green Dragon Reanimator has been Unhinged for a rather long time now. And the only game it works in is Duels of the Planeswalkers with the Red/Blue/Black for Bolas's Deck because that game is deck balanced not game balanced. You would get smashed in constructed Legacy. There are decks in Legacy that would crush this one, two of them being Mono blue Milling and first upkeep mega sacrificial 32 damage inst a death.

The Ur-Dragon, Keiga, Ryusei, Ebon Dragon and most of the other Dragons are too slow for a Reanimator deck.

You need more Hellkite Overlord, Bogardian Hellkite, Karrthus and Rorix Bladewing.

2 cards that could really mess up your game :

Soulquake & Identity Crisis especially if played in that order

@Finnuval you would be dead way before you could play either of those cards, he swung for game on round 3, EVEN if you had him down to 8 or 4 or 2 (granted you don't have a lightning bot in your ass, lol) he still won the next turn

@lashed i aslo like how the guy talking about countering your shit on round one (assumin you went first, that is) he would have no land out and so maybe his first turn, he islands, pass... you anitate dead, and he responds with spell pierce, then you pass, what is he going to do? play another island and pass? becuase his whole deck consists of counters? even if he did, you would still out run him in, imo. he's gonna have to play something to win the game, not just counter you all day...
