  • god will punish all bad things in their coming lifes. so donot worry . try to do only good things

  • i feel bad 4 those elephants but my aunt owns a circus and she takes care of her animals!!!

  • @upsetgamer

u could ask "why havent animals developed nuclear weapons?"

because theyre a whole lot smarter than we are, thats why! they dont try to destroy nature, they dont try to wipe eachother off the face of the earth, they dont litter, pollute or harm the world in any way, they dont even hurt us unless we're brainless enough to provoke them! get my point?

  • wish i could tell/show my family your vids. unfortunately, im an animal lover trapped in a narrow-minded family. they say im being overdramatic and that i cant change what i see. i tell ppl i boycott coke and they say "but it tastes so good". shallow, brainless humans.

  • If elephants are so smart why havent they built anything

  • @upsetgamer If you're actually a human, where's your intelligence?

  • @SHARKonlineorg i like that

  • @upsetgamer What have you done lately?

  • @upsetgamer because they have no thumbs

  • U say zoos are bad but the ones here in England are amazing especially wipsonade and Woburn safari park my sister worked at both and I can promise u that the animals are not distress and wer bred originaliy from rescued animals on the black markets English zoos and safari parks are best of the best unlike most American zoos except the select few GO SHARK !!!!!!!

  • This plp are BASTARDs

  • we reposted your video for an article here is the link

we hope people locally will see it and not go to this event in our town in august, greenville pa

  • @themercernews Sharing and awareness is what these animals need. Thank you.

  • The trainer got told off BIG TIME

    good on ya cameraguy

  • WTF is with that retard telling you off for filming!

  • I don't think owning elephants or other exotic animals is necessarily as bad as you make it sound, but it takes extreme responsibility and extensive knowledge of the animal and it's needs. Circuses usually don't know or don't care about their animal's needs. I have only ever seen one circus that didn't blatantly abuse it's animals. (mind you I didn't see back stage, but I am pretty sure the animals were well loved.)

  • quite simply, if you don't want your tent poles pulled... DONT PUT A BORED ELEPHANT IN YOUR TENT!

  • It feels weird adding this to my "favorites" when this is so horribly sad :(

  • 24 people who disliked this video are probably employees of walker brother Circus.

  • I live in Melbourne FL still to this day and sometime in the late 80's early 90's I was at a circus in my home town Palm Bay when one of the Elephants panicked and was gunned down by the Palm Bay PD. Luckily I did not actually witness this happening but did open my eyes... I like to think that the poor elephants death was not in vain and that from her sacrifice she made at least some people aware of the true horror hidden behind the fake glamor that is the Circus.

  • @lmos26 Yes, it has; but apparently not enough to do anything about it. Undercover footage of Ringling's consistent, despicable abuse of its elephants is damning, yet nothing stops them. Courts and laws all bow down to the almighty dollar.

  • @SHARKonlineorg The sense of feeling powerless and the desperation to save them is practically maddening. I have a tremendous deal of respect for what you do and I cant even begin imagine how difficult it is for you to witness pure evil so often. I was in tears with horror when you showed us the maggot covered pigeon death piles dumped like garbage but then I managed a smile when you pulled that little flicker of hope and love out of that hellish nightmare.

  • @lmos26 We appreciate your support. Dealing with animal abuse is like a roller coaster ride. Huge ups and gut-wrenching downs.

  • Circus's should have been federally outlawed the instant this monstrous industry was conceived.

  • I had to stop the video.... I couldn't take it!!! When will these circus freaks that do this to these magnificent creatures be stopped?????

  • Tess Is my name and if I were that elephant I would have done something that would hurt the people and wouldn't care then that would show the people on the camera what they do if a elephants doesn't listen to the trainer

  • @Kaliegrl67 and they often do, only to gunned down by a hoard of police officers as they run in absolute terror... not to mention that the police are forced to use 9mm rounds taking up to FIFTY shots to finally end their heartbreaking life :(

  • Oh, and good for you! You told that bitch!

  • dumbasses. Hope they burn in hell!

  • if I opened a circus i would make sure my animals would be treated like kings and queens!i would give the elephants large balls that the elephants can kick while being all together some where nice and perfect not in chains!the horses would have each other for copay plus a field big for them to run around the foals would be playing with a little kick ball and a giant ball i would put in there and the other animals i would give them the toys that were perfect!i would also groom and feed&be kind

  • fuck people like this i am not beeing rude i wish i could do wat there doing to the poor elephants

  • that is repulsive

  • thank you fou doing this some ppl dont know

  • elephants are beautiful and tame creatures.... humans are violent and disgraceful creatures.

  • I feel the elephants pain. I was in JROTC when I was in school & when inspection came around I thought it was great, get out of class & you don't have to do anything but stand there. Well that was the longest 2 hours I have ever endured, 3 people passed out. Near the end I wanted to cry it hurt, it actually hurt. I was also reprimand 3X by my captain cuz I kept swaying not knowing that I was doing it. I never realized until then that movement is just as vital as water is. Massive empathy attack!

  • @NotOneDayOff Thanks for your post.

  • I agree with with you completely. I was once ignorant too about this and I took my son to a local curcus, arm as I was entering I was called an igorant son of a bitch. As ignorant as I was, I would not have finished buying the ticket if someone have just called me to the fence and offered the true knowledge it would have helped. The be-littling did not and it took me longer so picking fights dont win allies. :) arm your self with info and handouts not cussing and picking a fight :) all honesty

  • "we understand where the knowledge is coming from in the brain", what a complete dumbass, clearly knowledge is a foreign concept to the peanut you call a brain, abusive scum. What can people do to help put a stop to these sick, cruelty and torture on parade travesties, people take their kids to as nice wholesome show for the family? it makes me so angry, someone needs to treat them like that,to see how it feels, I guaranty that if someone showed people this video beore they got tickets they wouldn't

  • @ittaBIT27 Thanks for your post. The best thing to do is help spread the word. When you hear a circus is coming to your area, send a letter to the editor of your paper with a link to this, post fliers, or any other way you can get the word out.

  • walker brothers is a FAIL LOL

  • if i ever go to the circus again (wich might not ever happen again) im goin start screaming "Abusers, trorters, heartles, monsters, beaters!!!" when the animals come out.

  • @HollyBells666, you and me both!

  • i totally agree with shark when i was little i went to a circus and thought it was awesome but now i see what they are doing and i never want to go back. humans are horible :( the only time an animal would need to be in captivity if the population and still they need to return it.. gosh i cant believe selfish people

  • wow the only place i like in anada is african lion safari well i still think its wrong to have animals captive but the animals are free to roam and ther were elephants there never swaing always having some kids pet there head like me but when i saw a white tiger it was loked up in a cage with 2 other the cage was the size of a small garage my mom asked why they were locked up in a cage and they said that they just got here and had no other place 2 go yet. i thought is was wrong.....

  • Out of all the Circuses I have seen Shriner s was by far the best in their animal treatment and training. The elephants were not staked (never seen swaying), but walked around in a pen, with food, water, and a few toys.

Even the lions and tigers seemed more relaxed one tiger was cranky so if was allowed to sit back and relax on a stool and was left along. No fire hoops.

The worst Zoo in terms of stress was Ringling Bros though.

  • Whenever I hear a story about an elephant snapping, I'm not mad at them. I don't blame them. Elephants should be out roaming free, just like any wild animal should.

  • I do agree animals should not be in circuses but I find it fine for animals being in zoo's seeing as how the zoo that i live near in Chicago has endangered animals and is trying to help with the population like polar bears. that educates the public but not the Circus so in one point I do agree with you.

  • Wrong.

  • the swaying Tess does is a sign of psychological distress. it is not natural for these beautiful creatures to be in circuses like this. they should be out in the wild where they belong.

  • i live in sarasota.. its a nice place... And usually people here are nice people. and its very rare that we hear of people abusing animals. but yes what circus ppl do to their animals is cruel. :(

  • this was a "great" film, if you can say that. well made ;) i totally agree with the film. and why is it that the police only shows up to "help" the circus? when it is the circuses that are doing illegal and bad things?!

  • @MissSammi82 Thank you for posting. Unfortunately, here in the US, our laws do not protect the animals in circuses, or in most other exhibitions such as rodeo, either.

  • I'm so glad you caught that lowlife's "performance" on tape. He lies to the police to get the activists removed from the grounds. He makes false police reports and then goes on his merry way to the next town. I'm sick of the idiots who sponsor these circuses and bring them to town under the guise of fundraising and entertainment. Animal abuse is not entertainment!!

  • Not long time ago I saw a woman who dedicated herself to save elephants and she created a thrust where money were spent to give these abused elephants a new life. One of the elephants were an elderly female and in her new happy life she became a mother. That was an amazing moment and I laughed in front of the camera. That was wonderful!

  • When will this cruelty stop? I'm not a big animal activist but this is just unacceptable. All of the videos posted just make me sick and heartbroken. Good for SHARK for helping expose this. I will never go to the circus again. Does anybody know the record for Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Baily Circus? I'm curious to know if they are the same as all the others.

  • @higgalo Ringling is among the worst. And when they do get cruelty charges against them to the prosecution stage, their high-end lawyers tie-up the litigation for years, primarily due to the fact animals in exhibitions here in the US currently are exempt from cruelty laws. There are undercover videos on YT exposing the barbaric mistreatment of elephants by RBB trainers.

Thank you for your post and for your concern for the animals.

  • I think this is how elephants snap...in the wild they have a lot of patience. Leg chains are actually more to the assurance of the trainers than actually tying down an elephant.

  • treating animals like this people are sick!

  • I remeber as a child going to a zoo in ontario. There were wild cats cheetas, lions, tigers etc sitting in cages a bit bigger then a large dog cage you see in a shelter. With nothing but a metal climbing shelf and a dish of water. That was one of many of the horrible situations. I was 7 and I knew that was wrong..

  • @Bathoric95 Thanks for your post.

  • @SHARKonlineorg, thank you. I am a big fan of the Tennessee Elephant Sanctuary. It is what inspired my real love of elephants, not a zoo or circus. I also like PAWS. Again, thank you for sharing this video. More people need to help save elephants in zoos and circuses.

  • this makes me so sad

  • @SHARKonlineorg, I am glad you posted this video. Not only do I agree with all the ideas spoken by the narrator in the video, but this video shows how the animal keepers are dishonest.

  • @awesomeH2O Thank you. Elephants are truly beautiful, sensitive creatures and we hope you succeed in your endeavor to help them. If you aren't familiar with the Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, TN, perhaps you can contact them for advice/info on ways you can help or get set up:

    elephants . com

  • please tell me, does the SHARK team travel all around the world to film? and is there any progress in the fur trade in china slowing?

  • @excop360 Unfortunately, we don't have the resources and manpower to undertake a world wide mission at this time.

There realy seems to be no good future for the animals in China. Fur trade, meat markets or mass cullings. The Chinese government cares nothing for what the rest of the world thinks about it.

  • @SHARKonlineorg i understand

  • thank you for educating us about these inhumane events but sorry sometimes it is hard for me to watch

    peace, from Australia

  • @excop360 Thank you. We understand what you mean.

  • GOD DAMN FUCKING HUMANS! These abusing piles of shit need to be tried, put in prison, and get raped. See how they like it.

  • KEEP IT UP!

WE ARE LOOKING UP TOO U!

  • this is why me and my mom don't go to cyrcusis

  • SHARK I LOVE YOU!!!

  • @XanamiaqueenX Thank you

  • @SHARKonlineorg KEEP IT UP SHARK, US NORMAL HUMAN AMERIICANS ARE BEHIND YOU!!!!!

  • @gwolf77 We appreciate that. Thanks!

  • Thank you for putting up this video, for it has changed how I see circuses. I have only gone to one circus, a Walker Brothers one, when I was very little. I do not remember much but I know I was amazed by the elephants and did not think about their treatment from the circus. I assumed the elephants were well taken care of and happy. Now I know, thanks to SHARK, that is not how they are treated.

  • bobo isDUMB in translation into some asian language. now you know wh the person act that way. There is meaning in one's name..

  • " Elephants are repeatedly beaten in order to train them. These intelligent social mammals often live their whole lives in travel trailers, sometimes in the blazing heat or the freezing cold. The majority of the time, they are chained by two feet, unable to take even one step forward or back since being captivated"...go to elephanttrustorg and learn more...Elephants need to be in their natural family environment & play a vital role in the ecosystem they inhabit. Circuses are cruel...ugh!

  • Thank you so much for doing this story. I boycott all circuses that use animals and leaflet both Ringling and Cole Bros. in NYC year after year. Their audiences are getting smaller and smaller. I SO appreciate this and am sharing it on Facebook. You rock for telling the truth in the media.

    ~Katie

  • @CalculusKatie Thank you for taking a proactive stand for the animals!

  • Propaganda. Stop personifying (sp?) animals! I believe these animals should be set free. Zoos and circuses are bullshit. I have dominion over all animals, but the Lord did not say "treat them like crap". I and my family do not patron circus or zoo. Watch the animals on National Geographic or whatever.

  • If you still go to these animal circus your fucked, seek mental health or chain your self to a pole for 7 hours a day in the sun no food or water , walk in their foot prints.

  • poor animals! :(

  • I usually don't use these words to express my opinion of someone, but that elephant trainer is a complete, pompus dumb ass. I truely believe that those elephants have more intelligence in one fold of their brain than he does in his entire brain. He and all those like him have NO business working with these magnificent animals nor ANY animals for that matter.

  • We are in 2010...why do we still have circuses? These poor animals are treated so poorly and forced to perform night after night. Animals do not belong in the circus for our entertainment...step right up to the cruelest show on earth!

  • You know what people can do to stop this madness ?

STOP going to the freaking circus !

There circus came to the city where i live a month ago,i refused and didn't let my family members to go there.

I told them that "they capture and torture animals that aren't supposed to be there and YOU ignorant fools pay those clowns to do that."

  • poor elephants!!! They deserve mental and physical stimulation!

  • i emailed these people a few days ago, in repsonse to them coming to my town. I asked if they had animal acts. They replied with "we have no animals at all" a friend then emailed them and asked the same questions. they replied to her and told her there would be a "Pony Liberty" act and pony rides. . .

Are these people that stupid, that "ponies" dont constitue animals?? Thats bad enough but i see them with elephants its on like donkey kong.

  • @ElitistSaviour Thanks for taking a proactive approach for the animals. Please let us know what happens.

  • @SHARKonlineorg will do, thank you for posting this because small circuses seem to get ALOT less attention. In our {my friends and I} quest to find information about this circus we came up empty handed except for a small thing from PETA

  • tteven101-circuses abuse animals. period. don't lie

  • im in the circus and ive be around animal all my life and we dont show them cruelty we love or animals mine get more then me eat better then me so you need 2 stop with this crap ok

  • @tteven101 There is no love in forcing a wild animal to perform stupid, unnatural tricks to entertain shallow-minded people.

  • @SHARKonlineorg you are so undemocratic and anti american to say so. please kill yourself and save the world.

  • @circusboy90210 will you ever go & Fuck off, your a heartless Bastard, I'd like to see you chained up like Tess in this video, your an idiot, why dont you KILL yourself you Fuckin Shallow prick!!!!

  • @circusboy90210 You should kill yourself and save the world. These animals are abused, and you know it.

  • Elephants are highly intelligent animals, they have the ability to mourn dead family members. They have a great ability to suffer. There should be a special category for animal with high levels of intelligence such as dolphins elephants ect. And as such their captivity and commercial killing of them should be banned.

  • @Spartan31234 Thanks for your post.

There should be a special category for animal with high levels of intelligence such as dolphins elephants ect. And as such their captivity and commercial killing of them should be banned.

  • I would just like to say something aobut elephants in captivity... I went to a local Renaissance Faire that featured Elephant rides. I noticed that this particular Elephant actually had a look of content and calm in her eyes, was not swaying, and was very happy to give rides. Now, the riding area was fairly large, and they gave her breaks and plenty to do, and seemed to enjoy people talking to her and petting her. So, while circus Elephants are miserable, not all captive Elephants are abused.

  • CyraUK: Are you aware elephants are herd animals? They thrive in packs and walk great distances daily? Captivitiy, for such a great wild animal, despite how content she may have looked, is still abuse of her natural state.

  • Ok, I don't agree with the ridicule of tricks. Animals trained correctly usually thrive from any human attention and encouragement. However, I do think it's a bit ridicules to not let them have any movement. Just like when buying a dog, you research and don't buy a hyperactive breed if you can't give it proper attention. You'll be miserable with a misbehaving dog, and your dog will be miserable. So, stricter laws on circus animals I will readily support.

  • i don't like the circus cuz i think the animal should be free and this vid proves it thank you and this weekend theres a circus coming to madison i would most likely see an animal in its actual habitat then at my home in my backyard

  • eggrollman24: Thanks for your post.

  • this is bullcrap. in neighboring sweden, elefants are banned for this reason. they are in norwegian circuses though. wish I could do something about it.

  • 3:50 "We-we-we understand where the knowledge is coming from here, in the brain." What a tool.. the guy has to be high on some kind of drugs.

  • I feel embarrassed for these elephants. i was watching a documentary on them, and they have relationships just like humans and feel remorse over deaths of other elephants. This is sick.

To all you at SHARK, I truly admire you for your work.

  • gabbyella123: Thank you

  • These Cowards Days Out are numbered. Help STOP Bull Fighting! Check out PLI- Bullfighting Abolition- Enough is enough.. This campaign needs support, give it yours!!!

  • 8:28 or the part were the elephant goes under the other, you cant imagine how much of a beating them 2 elephants would have suffered to do that all for 'entertainment' thats NOT entertainment thats sick and an elephant doing that, something so powerful as an elephant doing them type of things is so sad .

  • Your an honorable man, hats off to you!

  • BergMister: We appreciate that, thank you.

  • thanks bro for this amazing video.. hope those epople get locked up... u did well to tell the officeer the truth.. :)

  • strongafghan786: Thank you. The truth is what wrongdoers fear the most.

  • Back when I was ignorant and went to Ringling Brothers Circus, if you went early you could meet the elephants up close and pet them.

I'll never forget the way that elephant looked me straight in the eye...I knew instantly there was an intelligent albeit voiceless being in front of me.

I'm glad SHARK fights for the elephants, too.

  • TaylorAndMileyNoSoul: No animal deserves to have their mistreatment ignored.

  • im actually amazingly shocked :o

    i was crying actually

ITS SO BLOODY SAD- i cant believe they do that

good video i love how it tells you a lot about them and what they do to them

thanks for the great information !

    dillonthevillon

  • dillonthevillon: Thanks for your post.

  • its okay xxxxxxxxxx

  • You man make the best videos ever. Awrness has been proven

  • SmileyMileyFan26: Thank you very much.

  • The best care elephants can get is in thw wild, where they belong. Or even in a zoo, where they'ren taken care of

  • Wildberries5: Zoos across the nation and world have proven to not be a suitable environment for elephants, any more than circuses are.

  • Ringling Bros. is the only circus that is good to their elephants... I know they had that video scandal, but you can be sure that they treat their elephants the best out of all animal circuses and they have a great breeding program

  • retownsend: Ringling is a prime abuser and is in litigation for their violations of the Endangered Species Act regarding elephants. Please reference Born Free USA org for the latest updates.

  • I know they have certain employees who have mistreated their elephants, but the majority of their workers have a special bond with them. The Blue Tour elephants really seem to love their masters and their is no evidence that shows their abuse. It is always the Red Tour :( Hopefully they choose better trainers for their 141st unit

  • Are you kidding me? Ringling are the WORST animal abusers in the industry! Check out the multiple undercover ringling brothers videos on youtube!

  • Fricking people have no right to chain up elephants!

  • hmm, i wonder how many electric shocks those elephants had to endure before they got their tricks right.

  • they can't even get to their food or water! :(

  • use are as cruel as fuck

  • Thank you Steve for exposing the cruelty involved in circuses, many people simply do not realize just how cruel and unnatural the environment is for these beautiful and highly intelligent creatures are driven insane by stress, boredom, ill treatment and removal from their family group in the wild. Elephants never forget their prior life and family members in the wild when they are forced into this unnatural captive existence, it makes their distress and trauma so much greater.

  • my comment wont make a difference to these elephants but i just think this is vile and some people would sell there souls for money..sad but true fact of the world :(

  • nice vids man, i hate people with no compasion for living things.

  • 420chronmasta: Thank you.

  • thank you for vids :) and reply

  • @SHARKonlineorg that is very cruel and so is bull fighting and steer roping but as for the rest of the rodeo (in my area) are not cruel to there animals

  • This is why I don't take my children to circuses. It is slavery. And it's disgusting and I hate them. The ONLY circus we go to is Cirque Du Soleil. It's despicable. Why aren't these people shut down?! Who the hell are they sleeping with to keep being allowed to abuse animals?

  • It would be s cute how it tries to play with sth if it wouldn't be in captivity in a circus

  • Hi, SHARK, I was at a circus once, and these bears were riding bikes, they were tided to the bikes though (oboulily not very happy) could u please check into that? thanks and let me know what u find out

  • herewefly: Animals performing in ways entirely unnatural for them are nothing but stupid human tricks of a most cruel and abusive nature. We're aware these abuses happen. However, our resources are focused on the rodeo and now the pigeon shooting season. There are organizations dedicated to circus cruelty. Google circus abuse or cruelty and you will find them. Thanks for your posts and for caring about the animals.

  • herewefly: We just read on CNN that a Russian bear on ice skates, yes, wearing ice skates, killed his trainer and severely injured another person and was then killed himself in order to be 'examined'. Sadly, they will never come to the conclusion that bears do not belong on ice skates to begin with.

  • dude kamelmanden get a life!!!! he NEVER said anywere that all circus abuse there elephants...and it doest take a lot to tell that OVIOUSLY these elphants WERE being abused...and nobody cares if you worked with the elephants plus your not going to admit to abusing them...once again GET A LIFE

  • These are Asian Elephant, much different both physically and emotionally then African Elephants. Asian elephants are generally tamer then African Elephants. More suited for this kind of activity; I do believe though that they should take them for long walks, instead of chain them up all day after being on the trucks.

  • Comment removed

  • POOR ELEPHANTS! :( the first thing i would do is go smack them horrible people then i would go free the elephant and give it a better life animals have just the same right as we do! just think if we were chained up all day!!!! we wouldn't like it!!! i wish horrible circus people could understand that :( !!!!

  • and that is very good that you do that but you forget to say that there are also good people who works with animals. You leave the imprasion that all circuspeople are bad people and that is absolutly not the truth!!!!!! just like that some animal welfare org. are realy bad and only think in money for themselves and the good who realy does something for animals. It´s not to tell the differents!!! Who is doing something that can be used and who is just showing of but not solving anything?

  • kamelmanden: We understand what you're saying. However, people will interpret what they want, how they want. Just like many people see what we do and right away accuse us of being PETA or extremists, which, of course, we're neither. People of intelligence understand that there is good and bad everywhere and can decipher the information and make they're own decisions.

  • And in EU there have just been made 2 big rapports about animals in circus and they concluded that circus animals is the animals that is treated the best of all animals in human contact. These rapports are made by goverments in The hole EU and can be read in the EU database. It has been disited by the goverments after they went to the circuses with there own experts and looked for them selves how cirkus animals lives. The video´s are cruel no doubt about that but it is a few stupid people.

  • The problem with people like you is that you don´t want other people to work with animals from a point you don´t know anything about. You show video´s of the bad people but you never show the video´s of the 98% that is very good to the animals and treat them with love and respect. Do that and then we can have a talk with respect for eachother and not like now were you hate us and we think that you are idiots. That is not the way to do it. WE ARE NOT CRUEL TO OUR ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • kamelmanden: SHARK is an animal abuse investigation organization. We focus on the abusive situations animals are in. We're not out there to compare good and bad. We're looking to expose the bad.

  • And then I want to give you all this slogan: Eliminate the illusion giving by other people by thinking for youreself!!! 98 % of us who work with ecxotic animals loves our animals and live with them as our family. So dont judge all others by one man´s stupidity!!

  • I absolutly not agree in youre comments.

I worked with elephants in cirkus in many years an our elephants are never chained and walk free in the woods were we go with the cirkus. We take them swimming in the sea and in lakes to.

There will always be idiots in every buisness but they are not as many as you think in cirkus.

You have to know that these video´s are made by people who never worked with animals and have and openion about something that they don´t know anything about.

  • kamelmanden: These videos are made by animal abuse investigators. There is no denying the stress this animal (and all those we film) is going through. You don't have to be someone who 'works' with animals to see the despair and depression in their demeanor.

  • I hate how horribly these animals are treated and they are definitly not for educational experiences and it's not to prevent them from being extinct. It's all for a multibillion dollar industry and horrible slavery. If they become extinct IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT doesn't that mean it was destined? But, no we want to keep them "alive" for future generations by showing them it's okay to exploit these beautiful creatures. People drive me CRAZY. Lets allow these animals to be free not abused

  • lisababy85: You're absolutely right.

  • I can see the elephants' brain cells dying by the second.

  • this is terrible. animals dont deserve to be treated like this, what did they eva do to u?

  • I hate those circus people!!!!!!! :|

  • you guys are stupid i bet your the same people that get onto your kids and set them in cribs for 30 to 45 minutes. IS THAT CRUELTY just shut up idiots.

  • prairiedweller1: Did you fall out of your crib and hit your head? Because there's something not right about you.

  • This IS awful!

  • I say chained those workers, see how they like it.

  • zoos? are all zoos bad cause i heard some take in animals that were injured in the wild? i could be wrong though. pleace inform me. :D thanks

  • funkmunkstepho: Any zoo that keeps an animal in an environment starkly unlike its natural habitat, even for a rescued wild animal, is not doing the animal much more good than letting it simply exist. Sanctuaries with acreage to allow these creatures that have been taken from their natural homes freedom of movement are more humane than zoo cages and limited exhibits.

  • This is terrible

  • This is why I never go to circuses that use animals as entertainment.

If I went, I wouldn't be able to hold back my tears.

  • ...wow. That's...really heartbreaking.

I've known horses who were stalled instead of turned out who formed nasty behaviours like swaying and cribbing or wind-sucking, I had no idea elephants suffered the same issues.

And that trainer. What an arse.

How we treat our animals reflects on what kind of people we are. I am not impressed by the care (or rather lack thereof) that they are giving these creatures and I am offended at how their actions reflect on our society.

  • Yea this is interesting isn't it? I always have had my hroses at least on pasture during the day, but I had to stop recently as the owner of the stable didn't tell me for 24 hours my fillie was way lame and in fact put her out like that w/ out ever telling me there was a problem. I got scared something else would happen outside and no one would tell me so, until I move from IA to FL next month I am having them stay in all the time and I hate that, but I don't know what to do tell my move...

  • cfoodluvr: You're absolutely right, if I were chained for most of my life, I'd sway too, because it would be abuse. What kind of goof tries to defend this? Oh, that's right, you do.
