@MsStellbell I don't think it's possible to homeschool in the Sims. At least not in the Sims 2. :/ The scenes in the video are actually of them doing their homework, I believe.
...Oh... I'm sorry to debate, but evolution is proven fact... organisms developing resistance, different skin colors, hell... the rich biodiversity contained within this thin troposphere... it's all evidence of adaptation / evolution.

I must point out that evolution is by no means whatsoever proven. Science simply cannot prove anything; it can only disprove. The best we can get is theories. To be able to get close to proving something scientifically, you must be able to observe and repeat. Evolution can be neither observed on a reasonable timescale nor repeated in a lab.
I do believe in microevolution of course; variations of skin color, subtly different bird species, the like. This is fact. However, there are too many holes in macroevolution (species evolving from totally different kinds) for me to put my trust in it.
I don't think it's ridiculous to believe that there is a God, a higher power than us.
Thank you for your politeness. : ) I don't wish to start a long debate, but only point out that evolution is a theory, but not fact.
Macroevolution is simply a bunch of microevolutions over a very large period of time. Oh and, Gravity is a "theory" as well. A theory has to be proen before considered such. It must be published in journals and reviwed. If none of this happens it is merely a "hypothesis".
There is a big difference between the two--microevolution is a change in genetic information already there--growing bigger, different colored fur, etc. Creatures do not grow legs or have scales turn into feathers as is supposed in macroevolution.
Theories are not proven. Science can disprove, but it cannot prove. Granted, it can indicate that something is likely. While gravity is quite easy to demonstrate, evolution is not. There is plenty of room for doubt and as such, I won't accept it as supreme truth.
I'm a homeschooler. ... an unschooler really. I'm a lover of science and this wonderful universe we live in... no, I haven't been in my home my whole life.. I can actually go out on school days, we take field trips all the time. Learning is automatic in a child. Why must we continue to force-feed people textbook crap education? Given, it does work for some.

the future of this world, I hope that most will accept others and let them follow through with their beliefs as long as they don't harm others with those beliefs.

I do agree that too many children can have their natural intellect dulled by the public school scene. There are too many kids who learn faster than others, or want to learn more. Homeschooling is great for these kind of kids!
Are you kidding? There's a million benefits to home schooling.
I went back to public school in 7th grade and I'm so glad that I was mostly raised as a home schooler. There are so many bad experiences that other kids went through that I'm glad I missed out on.
Yeah, my favorite was being able to sleep in...lol
But I think I'm a lot closer to my family that I would have been if I'd gone to public school, and family ties are severly underappreciated these days in my opinion. So I thought it was a good experience!
Love it! I went to public school all my life and then got a teaching degree. To be honest, it wasn't until I tried life on the other side of the desk that I saw why public schools have intrinsic flaws. Teachers are so busy trying to manage too many ill-raised children that they just don't have the energy to teach properly, or stop dangerous behaviors. I decided to give up on teaching until I have kids and homeschool them! If I don't ever want to be under someone's thumb, why would a young child?
Yes, there are pluses and minuses to both public and home school, but the way people are these days, I wouldn't trust anyone but myself to teach my own kids.
I considered going into teaching, but I decided I didn't want to deal with so many kids who don't want to listen.
So now I'm working on my accounting bachelor, but my secret dream is to move to Japan and tutor English for small groups!
Actually it is possible, I think anyway, message me if you want the site,I'm still pending to see if I can register. Anyway it says it's a home school hack.
Great video!! I homeschool my little boy right now and he is so smart that I am amazed. I never knew the advantages of this if the parent is committed. (I was publicly educated through high school and went to a Christian college.) But I am sold on it after seeing how one on one education is the way to go. Congrats!!
1. It's kind of hard to homeschool through college. 2. There are Christian colleges, like the one whose cafeteria I work in. 3. I peer tutor to help out fellow students. 4. I'm going to homeschool my own kids. I don't see how working in a public school is any worse than working for any other secular company. I support homeschooling but that doesn't mean I'm going to completely shun all public education all the time. I'm sorry if you have a problem with that.
Maybe you should change those lyrics that mention her not dressing like the others. Her pants and shirt are plenty tight and fit right in with the rest. Sims program has no modest dresses to choose?
For teenage sims the only dresses are shorter than kneelength and all the shirts are skin tight. Most of them show belly too. But since it's only a collection of pixels I don't think it matters that much.
I love this video!!! Homeschooling is awesome, it has given me the oppertunity to attend college as a dual-enrollment and I will get my AA degree this spring and i will be 17. I also have tons of friends, so, what people think of us homeschoolers as unsocialzed is so untrue!!!

Yes, that's right. Creationists are ignorants who refuse to embrace progress and comprehend science, and want to keep people in the stone age. Pretty funny! Thanks for this video... :D Homeschooled girls rock! (I am one!) All that stuff is so true. Three grades ahead, up on everything... Yup! Thats usually every homeschool girl.
hahahaha, that is amazing! Both the song and the Sims animation to it! I was never homeschooled, but from hearing my friend who is talk, it's amazing! You go homeschooled girls!!!
We homeschool our girls, because the environment in the average public school is often toxic. This song hits it right on the money, especially the part about "three years ahead." My girls aren't quite that far ahead yet, but will be soon. Homeschooling is the only way to go.
Cute video, though I have to say I don't know how I would have learned AP science without a lab. Or Chaucer from parents who rarely venture beyond Stephen King novels. ;-)
that's why i'm so excited to get out of homeschool for highschool! lol there's only so much you can learn in your house... i need bunsen burners!! chemicals!! things that go boom!
Thats why I'm sending my kids to community college a couple a days a week. In Australia, you can take courses at TAFE once you turn 15. My kids will gte the best home education, plus viable qualifications (certificate 11 and 111 in whatever they want) as well as the "school atmosphere".
Fortunately for me, I'm a sciencey person, and I have a home-lab for the heck of it.
Well, all public schoolers aren't that bad (and I was in public school for 8 years), but it can be a rough place with lots of scary people. I've got to say that, in my experience, homeschoolers have a much safer and friendler atmosphere.
It's not so much that the video maker is trying to make public school kids look bad, but they're just trying to make a nice contrast between the two. But c'mon, seriously, have you ever heard of major bullying problems when people homeschool?
I homeschool my girls too and they love it. Their friends who go to public and private always tell her they wish they could be homeschooled also because the other kids pick on them, so the video is not to off base. It's nice to know homeschooling is an option. Great song.
