hey thanks a lot! drum mics start at $200-$300 for a package deal and you can go anywhere from there. For starters I'd recommend an SM57 for the snare, a Beta 52 for the kick and an NT2 for an overhead (stereo mic). You'll have 4 channels and you can always add more mics later!
