Come on, people. They're just kids having fun. The clothes are not really what people wore in the eighties, but it's a spoof of the clothing...all the neon colors and odd combinations. That much they did get right. And the song...h'mmmm....well it does have a late eighties sound to it even tho it was made in the nineties. So chill out!

I noticed that he signaled to his friend with his eyes looking to the side like, "Get a load of Glow Bug! over here!" :) I was friends with everybody, so it was just a running joke later. I'm a little confused since you have a really confused vision of what the 80s was actually for dress, second you picked a song from 1993 and using a movie reference from the late 90s. What time are you suppose to be doing.
As a child of the 80s (33 now) I loved this. Pretty funny. Although the clothes weren't THAT mismatched, of course I remember :) Usually if somebody had a bright neon green shirt, they'd wear it with blue jeans that made it OK.
One time I made an awful mistake. I wore a bright neon shirt (white and yellow neon stripes) with some super bright neon yellow pants! I was in the 7th grade. TERRIBLE MISTAKE for a 7th grader to make. They called me GLOW BUG for a few weeks after that.
Lol the only one that was remotely close was the guy. You two girl fail hard core to the max.

The 90s were still owned by the 80s up to about 1993 . . 1994 the alternateen grunge trend was pretty much in full swing.
