  • LWT was brilliant

  • 1. "London Weekend" is missing.

    2. The background is blue instead of black.

  • The channel was originally called 'London Weekend' in 1978 they became known as London Weekend Television hence the rebrand and the 'T' was added and the logo amended with the 'London Weekend Television' underneath it. I remember the LWT logo coming on before Bruce Forsyths Play Your Cards Right, in any case, LWT's ident usually signified great programming right up to its end in 2002...ITV you cunts for ruining it all now.

  • I remember this ident at the start of 'On the Buses'.

  • The London Weekend text vanished! Oh the horror! XD

  • No london weekend text and the background is blue

  • @MuffinDrumful The background being slightly blue is either due to the light of the telecine machine, the colourimetry of the telecine machine or this may be a positive copy of a negative print.

    It was not intentional.

  • The music also sounds a little different.

  • the London Weekend is missing and the BG lights up blue

  • I assume that this version was probably intended for use as part of the continuity links between in-vision announcements and a timecheck (whereby instead of displaying the company name they would then switch straight over to the clock, as was the case with Southern when they too went colour.

  • its a clean title, the T was added later, what is missing is the words London Weekend about the river ident

  • Where's the T?

  • The river logo doesn't get brighter during the ident's run.

Seems to be a very clean copy too - too good to have been recorded off-air?

  • It's not signed (no "London Weekend")

  • No, there's something else missing...!

  • The fact that there's no London Weekend above the LW :P
