I know, the earlier stuff is a real rarity, and so funny! As I said, these clips I found on a fan's website (which in the same year got shut down, sadly). But hopefully CBS guys can upload the earliest videos somewhere?...

I don't understand this mentality that hearing a word will make you do evil and unspeakable things. Why do they need to censor it? Fuck isn't a bad word and there's no shred of evidence that it would potentially affect anybody. So why is this thing so enforced?

It's censored because many people find it rude/offensive to hear. For example, if a small child hears it, they may repeat it, and despite being a late night show, they don't want to play something inappropriate that would cause them to have low ratings from the PC (politically correct) crowd or the average viewer who complains. Basically "anything for the ratings" would be their motto.
