i will never bow down to a god that allows the keeping of slaves as propery. in the bible god and jesus tell us how to beat our slaves. is that moral? owning people as property? abominable.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Actually, slaves were allowed under Jewish law IF THEY OWED A DEBT AND WANTED TO WORK IT OFF. For example, if I owed you $100, and I could only pay $50 of it, I would work for you to pay the debt. That is the only kind of slavery allowed under God's law. We still do this in America today. Also, God's law required that every one of them be released every 7th year. Also, the Bible teaches that they were supposed to be treated as bretheren (read the book of Philemon & Leviticus).
@NowAliveNHim ACTUALLY.... Except for murder, slavery has got to be one of the most immoral things a person can do. Yet slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves. i can provide you with the exact scriptures if you want to be embarrased further.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I agree with you that slavery is immoral. I have already challenged you to give me Scriptures. You haven't come up with any. The Bible does not endorse beating slaves. In fact, God said that death was the penalty for beating a servant (the literal translation of the word) (Exodus 21:20). So, contrary to what you have been saying, the Bible does not endorse slavery. It does endorse working off a debt, which we have already discussed.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 God goes on to say that if you injure your servant, that he must be set free (Exodus 21:26-27). You know who Dr. Martin Luther King was, right? You know that he was a strong Christian too, don't you? In fact, used the same principle that Jesus taught about when he said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." Same with William Wilberforce. He was a strong Christian who ended the slave trade in Britain.
@NowAliveNHim you avoid the point. those were mere men. i said your GOD wanted us to keep slaves. but then again you have a point,it was man who created god.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I asked you to prove it to me. You are the one avoiding the point. You brought this issue up, and I want to debate it. My point is, since these men were inspired by the Word of God, then how can you say that God allows slavery? There are 2 types of slavery in history. These are: racial and economic. Racial slavery was what happened in America. It involves being forced to be a slave based on one's race. Economic slavery, as it is called, is a different matter.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Economic slavery is based on the principle that if I owe you a debt, I can work for you to pay it off. When it is paid off, I go free. That was the principle. It was not forced labor, as you say. It the right to work off a debt when a person couldn't pay a debt. The entire book of Philemon was written to oppose treating others as less than human--regardless of circumstances in their life.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I'm starting to think you don't have any Scriptures. You still haven't given me any. You can't just avoid a point when an argument isn't in your favor. Besides, Stalin treated millions of people worse than what you are talking about, and that was an atheistic regime. He murdered millions of innocents. Surely you can't avoid that bigger issue?
@JESUStheATHEIST1 You think that evolution has been proven, then? Sorry, I saw one of your comments on another video. Have you even read "On The Origin Of Species"? Charles Darwin makes some pretty radical claims there. What's even more radical is how much doubt he had in the theory. He said such things as, "Such a simple instinct as a bee making a beehive is sufficient to overthrow my entire theory." and "To suppose that the eye, with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus
@JESUStheATHEIST1 to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selections, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree." And "For I am well aware that scarcely a single point is discussed in this volume ON WHICH FACTS CANNOT BE ADDUCED, often apparently leading to conclusions directly opposite to those at which I arrived." AND "There is a grandeur in this view of life,
@JESUStheATHEIST1 with its several powers, HAVING BEEN ORIGINALLY BREATHED BY THE CREATOR into a few forms or into one." So, you see, even Darwin had extreme doubts about his own theory.
@NowAliveNHim yes and since using the scientific method we have further proven his theory. believe it or not the bible and man once thought the sun revolved around the earth. however over the years using the scientific method........aww fuck it. your to stupid to understand. go away and pray. its like pounding a circle into a square.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Actually, the Bible has outdated science. Isaiah wrote about how the world was round LONG before science discovered it (Isaiah 40:22). In fact, Columbus wrote in his journal about how the Scriptures inspired him. For more scientific facts, see Job 26:7, Hebrews 11:3, Psalm 8:8 (read about Matthew Maury, the father of oceanography), Isaiah 51:6, Psalm 102:25-26, Hebrews 1:11. The last three indicate that the earth is wearing out, which is what the 2nd law of thermodynamics says
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Your remarks continue to be unfounded. Show me in the Bible where it says this. You don't get brownie points for not doing your research. In fact, Job 38:12-14 says, "Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused dawn to know its place.....The earth is turned as clay to the seal.". It was also the Bible that commanded us to wash our hands in running water (see Leviticus 15:13). This has helped reduce deaths tremendously.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 An article published in recent years shows us that the Bible account of one man and one woman being created is quite possibly the truth. It reads: "Researchers suggest that virtually all modern men--99% of them, says one scientist-- are closely related genetically and share genes with one male ancestor, dubbed 'Y-chromosome Adam.' We are finding that humans have very, very shallow genetic roots which go back very recently to one ancestor."(U.S. News & World Report, Dec. 4,1995)
@JESUStheATHEIST1 It does not make someone anti-science to critique any theory, including Darwin's. Evolution runs contrary to the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. The 1st Law of Thermodynamics also favors Creation in the scientific argument. If you can't provide any Scriptures for anything you say, then you shouldn't be saying it. I, on the other hand, have quoted from historians and scientists, and even Darwin himself. You have yet to quote anything reliable. Your only source is a Youtube video.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 The scientific method could not prove evolution anyway. There are 7 steps to the scientific method. Step 4 is: "Test your hypothesis by doing an experiment." This leaves evolution hanging, because you can't test it. Steps 5-7 rely on step 4 being completed. Since step 4 can't be completed, neither can steps 5-7. The only things we have are the laws of physics, which tend to favor Creation (I've used the Laws of Thermodynamics as examples).
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Step 6 of the scientific method is: "Draw a conclusion." Since step 6 can't be completed (because step 4 can't be completed), no conclusion can be drawn.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 First off, REALLY? THAT'S your best reply? I expected much more out of a man who made the claims you did. I first thought you a worthy foe in this debate. Now I see that you are nothing more than a mockingbird passing along information that is unfounded in the first place. Like I said, I would be willing to debate you any time. Next time, though, focus on the facts. You seem to have alot of blind faith in atheism. I have a good book for you.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 It's called "I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist". I did not defend my point with the intent to embarass you or to prove you a liar. I have examined the historical, archeological, and scientific facts, and have come to the conclusion that what the Bible teaches is sound. It is the Word of God. I have a challenge for you: read the book of Isaiah. Read the prophecies about the messiah. Compare those to Jesus. The earliest complete book of Isaiah we have dates to 125 BC.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 This means that it was copied 125 years before Christ. I'll even give you references to some specific prophecies. (Isaiah 35:4-6; Isaiah 40:1-5, 9; Isaiah 50:6; and Isaiah 53:1-12).
I want to make another point. I didn't come here to embarass you, or to make you seem like a liar, or to make you look bad. I came here to point out the facts, and the facts lean in favor of Jesus. If you still have questions, I'll answer them.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Look, don't embarass yourself further. Surely you would believe that beliefs should be grounded in truth, right? If not, it's called blind faith. It takes a lot of blind faith to be an atheist. It takes less faith to be a Christian. I just think that you're afraid to continue this debate. You're too embarrassed by the facts. I don't think your problem is an intelligence problem. It's not that there is not enough evidence for Christianity. It's because you're stubborn.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 You've made your choice, and are too stubborn to go to where the facts lead. That's called being narrow-minded. I took an objective look at the evidence. I saw that the evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of Christ. Is the reason you made your last comment because you don't have any more questions, or because you don't WANT to ask any more questions? Atheism requires blind faith in Darwinistic evolution. Science disproves evolution (Laws of Thermodynamics). History does too.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 As does archeology. I'll tell you what. I'm headed for vacation. I will be gone for 4 or 5 days. During that time, study history, archeology, and science. If you aren't willing to study something objectively, the reason is narrow-mindedness. If, during that time, you can come up with a LEGITIMATE argument (not something based off a Youtube video), I will debate you on it. If not, I expect to see you stop posting comments like this on ALL videos. I will embarass you if I have to
@NowAliveNHim while your on vacation try to actually come up with an answer as to the whole slavery, rape, torture, genocide and child abuse thing your god condones in your vile bible.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 God told us it is our job to help others in the situations you have mentioned. If we let God do it all, then what good are we? We would have no point of being judged for what we have done on Earth.
@NightPro08 i see you want to butt in on our conversation. so tell me....how did god tell you? do you hear voices? or did you read it in the man made bible. it was your god who tells us how to beat slaves and rape women and virgins as well. read your vile bible. its the best cure for the brainwashing cult of christianity.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Hitler WAS NOT Catholic, as you claim. HE USED DARWIN'S THEORY OF EVOLUTION TO JUSTIFY THE HOLLOCAUST. My reference comes from a book that he wrote in 1924, called "Mein Kampf" (or, when translated, "My Struggle"). Hitler wrote, "If nature does not wish that weaker individuals should mate with the stronger, she wishes even less that a superior race should intermingle with an inferior one; because in such cases all her efforets, throughout hundreds of thousands of years,
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Hitler was not Catholic, as you claim. HE ACTUALLY USED DARWIN'S THEORY OF EVOLUTION TO JUSTIFY THE HOLLOCAUST. The evidence comes from a book that he wrote in 1924, called "Mein Kampf" (or "My Struggle"). The evidence is on pages 239-240, 242. Now, coupled with the fact that you cannot present a single Scripture to back up your claim, it seems that I'm not the one who has any explaining to do. It's you.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I will rephrase what you asked me (unjustly, I might add): "Before you get on next time, maybe you can actually come up with an answer as to why you support a theory that people can freely use to justify killing millions of innocent people." First, I want you to show me these "Scriptures" you claim to have. (I know you don't have them, because they do not exist). Second, explain to me why you support a theory that people can freely use to justify mass murders.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I also see that you've blocked me from commenting on your channel, as well as deleted all of my posts. Are you scared of me or something? You should be.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Also, I saw your comment to NightPro08. Isn't it YOU that's butting in on a Christian video, though? You started this debate, yet you get angry when we win it. You're nothing but a sore loser, and, considering your hate speech, seem to be as bad as Hitler. Seems reasonable, though, since he used the theory of evolution (the same theory you are defending) to justify the Hollocaust.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Hitler gave just as much hate speech as you have. He used the same theory to justify his hate speech. What's your next step? Are you going to start killing Christians because God gave us commands to do exactly the opposite of what you are accusing us of? I've already mentioned that THE ENTIRE BOOK OF PHILEMON WAS WRITTEN BY PAUL AGAINST SLAVERY. Jesus commanded us not to even look lustfully at a woman. Also, IT WAS THE EARLY CHRISTIANS THAT WERE TORTURED.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 They were not the ones doing the torturing. In fact, study Roman history. You will find that the early Christians, though they were persecuted by the Romans, ultimately did the largest amount of good for the Roman empire. As I have already covered IT IS ACTUALLY THE DARWINISTS THAT ARE JUSTIFYING GENOCIDE WITH THEIR THEORY (examples: Hitler and Stalin). Let me be quick to point out that, if the theory you defend is true, there is no right or wrong. They only exist if God exists
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Otherwise, there would be no objective standard by which to judge evil (and yes, God says that those things you accuse us of ARE EVIL).Finally, God does not condone child abuse. I challenge you to find one Scripture proving me wrong.(By the way, I'm still waiting on these "Scriptures" you claim to have.Show them or drop the argument, it's as simple as that.)
@JESUStheATHEIST1 (By the way, I was referring to the fact that rape, genocide, slavery, torture, and child abuse are evil by God's standards. Jesus' command to love our neighbors as ourselves is not. I did not have space in the last post to spell out each one individually. I wanted to take an extra post to clarify that, in case it was too ambiguous in the last post. By the way, I'm still waiting on those "Scriptures" you claim to have. You don't have them, do you? No, because they don't exist.)
@JESUStheATHEIST1 By the way, if you're an atheist, you're doing a poor job of arguing. Your arguments presuppose the God that you keep trying to deny.If God exists, then so does an absolute, moral standard by which everyone will be judged. If He does not (as you claim), then no such standard exists, at which point morals just become a matter of opinion.I choose to belive there is an absolute moral standard (created by God).I refuse to bow to a theory that allows people to choose their own morals
@JESUStheATHEIST1 By the way, the theory of evolution is too flawed to be trusted. Either matter is eternal, or there is a God Who created matter. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, along with Einstein's Theory of Relativity, show that the earth is NOT eternal. If the earth had existed from eternity, we couldn't be having this conversation right now. Why? Because the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics makes a point: that the earth is wearing out. If it were infinately old, it would be nonexistant right now.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 By the way, what commandment do you condemn us for? Loving God, or loving our neighbor? Caring for the sick? Helping the oppressed? Which one is it? If you have anything to condemn us for, show us where God commands it from us. After all, you seem to think that you know the Bible better than I do.
@NowAliveNHim glad you asked!Atheists care about religion because we exist in a society where religious people impose their delusional beliefs by voting in mass numbers. so atheists have to confront these people because their delusions are affecting our lives. when you vote against gay rights, or abortions, or teaching of evolution or stem cell research, you are hindering all of society, based on baseless, pointless, delusional beliefs.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Actually, atheists force their beliefs on "religious people", too. The fact that we're arguing on a CHRISTIAN video right now is evidence of that. Once again, I cite Hitler as an example. I have already pointed out that evolution is, in fact, a statistical impossibility. I would like to debate each of these issues with you separately, as I do not have enough room to post them individually. I would like to begin with evolution. Can you prove it? Can I disprove it? I want to see.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 First off, I have proven that matter is not eternal (2nd Law of Thermodynamics and the Theory of Relativity have mathematically proven this.) That is, there is no matter that has existed from eternity. Scientists have related the beginning of the universe with the "Big Bang". Before this, there was no matter, no space, no time, no light. There was simply nothing. The majority of scientists believe this, including both creationists and evolutionists.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I've waited for a few minutes for your response. As I expected, there was only science. I would like to point out that THE BIG BANG HARMONIZES WITH THE GENESIS ACCOUNT OF CREATION. Genesis speaks of God creating the universe out of nothing. Most scientists would agree that the universe came from nothing. As far as this debate goes, I have an answer when you have silence.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 THIS IS THE CORRECTED VERSION OF MY LAST POST (I put a word in the wrong place in the last one.): I've waited for a few minutes for your response. As I expected, there was only silence.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Look, I apologize for sounding arrogant. I shouldn't be acting that way. I CAN prove my point with historical, archaeological, and scientific points, though. I am upset because you won't cite anything, yet I am citing everything I use, but you're ignoring my sources. If you don't cite anything, I won't believe you have a source. One example is these "Scriptures" that you claim to have. I know they don't exist. What upsets me is that you1.)Won't admit it, or,2.)Won't cite any.
@NowAliveNHim want some rape? (Judges 21:10-24 NLT) So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 First of all, again, on this post, you've inserted your own context. The literal translation from the original Hebrew is "young women". So the Israelites were to take all of the young women as wives for the tribe of Benjamin. Second, you only quoted the first 3 verses. Do you want to continue and explain to everybody that THE TRIBE OF BENJAMIN TOOK THEM AS WIVES? This is found in the last few verses that you quoted. Need I continue here?
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Now, it's my turn. Hitler wrote that he believed the Jews were inferrior, justifying it by Darwin's theory of evolution. Now, explain to me why you support such a theory.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Besides, you have no right to comment on morals if you're an atheist. If evolution were true, then morals don't exist. What is the chemical composition of love? How much does hate weigh? If this is a completely material world, as evolution suggests, there is no such thing as love or hate.Even the theory itself is not material. How do you explain that? However, if God exists, then there IS such a moral standard. So, if you are to make inferences about right & wrong, you must admit God.
@NowAliveNHim hey godboy! why not respond to all the rape, slavery, child abuse and genocide your god condones? hmmmm? moral standards from your evil, vile, disgusting bible? no thanks.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I refuse to be angry with you any more. I have made my point. You are not interested in the point that I've made. You're just interested in making me angry. Before I answer any more of your questions, do you mind answering the one question I have been asking you all this time? Why do you support the same theory that Hitler used to justify the Holocaust?
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Exactly. Nothing but silence from you. Look, you may not care about God or Jesus, but they both care about you. The fact that you are alive is proof of that. He's always been there for you, and always will be. You'll find Him when you seek Him with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13). I can't make you become a Christian. That's a choice you have to make. Christians have defended the rights of many people in the world, including yours. You even have the right to reject us.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Whichever choice you make, it's your choice, and not mine. If you still have questions, I'm still here to answer them. No, I don't have all the answers. No finate man could understand an infinate God. However, we know enough to realize that He cares for us. He wants us to know that much. Regardless of what you think, and regardless of what you've done, He still loves you. You can choose to love Him or to hate Him, but either way you have to choose. There is no neutral ground.
"There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done." All that are in hell, choose it. Without that self-choice, there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. [To] those who knock it is open."
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I have answered your question. God's command is to love. Love is patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, does not dishonor others, is not self-seeking, is not easily anger, does not rejoice with wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13). These are the attributes God commands us to have. Which one do you condemn us for?
@JESUStheATHEIST1 God doesn't approve of rape, torture, genocide, etc. Israel didn't always follow God's commands. Just because they did something doesn't mean that God approved of it. Here are some examples: Joseph's brothers (Genesis 37), Moses (Numbers 20), Aaron (Numbers 20), Samson (Judges 14-16), Solomon (1 Kings 11:3), Jonah (Jonah 1-4), Simon Peter (John 18:8-27), Saul (also known as Paul the apostle; Acts 7-8). The reason? Because God's standards are too high for anyone to meet.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 That's why we need God's grace. Jesus came to give us that grace. He took our punishment on Himself so that we, no longer carrying the weight of our sin, could meet this Being that loves us so much. Jesus loves us more than He loved His own life. The scars on His hands and feet prove it.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 God's standard is not determined by what people do. Humans didn't make it. God did. The thing about the law is that it cannot save. Only God's grace can do that. God's standard was not determined by what Israel did or didn't do, but on His character. The Hindus teach not to help others. God teaches to help others, even at your own expense. Some Muslims teach that women are inferrior. God made us equal but different. That is what the Bible teaches. Love. Do not hate.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Our God teaches us to love others "even as you love yourself" (Mark 12:31). If you want to condemn us, God has given you that option. However, there are other religions that teach abominations. Love is not abominable. I'm not perfect. I've proven that to you in the way I got angry with you. However, you aren't perfect either. You've proven that through your hate speech.
"There are none who are as deaf as those who do not want to hear."
@NowAliveNHim LOOK BUDZ. pray to whatever 2-6000 year old god you want to. its obviously a myth.however if you choose to believe in the talking snake story, thats your business. however your backwards beliefs have now been challenged in society and the scientific truth shall prevail. religion will eventually lose.i dont hate you, i feel sorry for you. really. you have an internet and a brain....put it to use in something that was not written by dessert tribesmen. peace.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I don't go on blind faith. I was once like you. I believed in evolution. Then I studied science. The amazing this is, evolution contradicts itself. It uses circular reasoning. It goes against some major laws of physics. Genetic limitations would make macroevolution impossible. I can't make you believe. That's your choice. My beliefs have been challenged, yes. Have they been discredited? No, they have not. In fact, the more we discover, the harder it is to believe in evolution.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Most of the people who helped us understand scientific truths were Christians. Even Charles Darwin professed some belief in God. Albert Einstein even said, "Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind." Einstein realized something. God created the laws of nature. In them, we can see His fingerprints.Evolution has yet to explain many of the major questions to which the Bible has always had an answer. Honestly, I feel sorry for those who don't know Jesus.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I still want to know why you would support the theory of evolution, even though Hitler used that theory to justify what he did. It's not a personal thing anymore. I'm just curious about why you would support it, even when it does nothing but destroy.
@NowAliveNHim untrue...i have given you the video to watch which proves hitler was religious and how the catholic church supported him and yet you have ignored my question on how you support a god who condones rape, slavery, child abuse and genocide.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I've watched your video. Now, I've got a video for you to watch. Search "1 2 Was Hitler Christian An Analysis of 60 Quotations". Watch both parts (labeled as "1 2" and "2 2"). Hitler simply used "God-talk" as a means of causing the Nazi party to come to power. Once he came to power, he stopped using it, except in public speeches. Nearly all of his private conversations and writings were anti-Christian.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 In fact, it seems that from Hitler's private conversations that he wanted to wipe Christianity off the face of the planet and replace it with some kind of Nazi religion. In light of the evidence, it doesn't seem to label Hitler as an atheist in the sense that you believe I am using. I guess one way to put it is that Hitler seems to have been a neo-paganist. In a sense, he seemed atheist, just as a Buddhist may be labeled an atheist. However, he was definately not Christian.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 By the way, Exodus 20 gives a list of commandments. Besides, I would like to point out that the Scripture you referenced said that Moses was angry, not that God was angry. It also said that Moses was angry because these women that they had let live had listened to Baalam, a man who had told them to deceive the Israelites. The Israelites were told to kill all the women who had deceived them. Show me where God specifically says to have slaves or to abuse children. It's not there.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 What you've done to the Israelites here is about the equivalent of me calling the law on you for your comment, "Want some rape?" earlier. That would have been taking it out of context. However, I could have made a convincing case just from that comment. That doesn't mean that is what you intended for it to mean, though. The reason I didn't call the law is because I realize the context that you used it in. I could have easily misquoted that and made a convincing case. But I didn't.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Hitler wrote with his own hand that he believed in evolution. It is in a book called "Mein Kampf". Page 239-242. You can believe any video you want on here. That doesn't make it true, though. A published work is more credible than a video, anyway (unless, of course, the video was published by a scholarly organization). If you can find a reference book, scholarly essay, etc that says that, I will believe it.
@NowAliveNHim numbers 31-7 But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. "Why have you let all the women live?" he demanded. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.
Clearly Moses and God approves of rape of virgins.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 First, I looked that verse up. Numbers 31:7 doesn't say that. Your reference was to Numbers 31:15. Second, read this verse IN CONTEXT (including the past couple chapters) and you will see that the Israelites were told to clear out the promised land of ALL idolaters (these people were). Third, we are dealing with the old covenant, not the new. Fourth, Moses never says to "rape" them. You inserted your own context.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Fifth, the literal Hebrew means to keep all of the females who could not fend for themselves alive (literal translation is, "infants") (reference: YLT). Clearly, GOD WAS PREVENTING THOSE INFANTS/CHILDREN FROM DYING. Sixth, you omitted part of the verse. Have you even read about Baalam? He turned these people against the Israelites, which, ACCORDING TO THE PART YOU OMITTED, IS THE REASON WHY MOSES WAS FURIOUS. Need I continue?
@JESUStheATHEIST1 First off, give me EVEN ONE portion of Scripture that supports your accusations. The reason you haven't is because YOU CAN'T. Why? Because the God of the Bible DOES NOT CONDONE SLAVERY, RAPE, OR MURDER. If you can provide EVEN ONE Scripture proving me otherwise, I will back down on this issue. By the way, I did do some research while I was gone. I personally investigated your claim that Hitler was Catholic. You know what I found, written by his own hand? It's in the next comment

@JESUStheATHEIST1 Hitler WAS NOT Catholic. HE USED DARWIN'S THEORY OF EVOLUTION TO JUSTIFY THE HOLLOCAUST. My evidence comes from a book that he wrote in 1924 named "Mein Kampf" (or, when translated, "My Struggle"). Evidence is on page 239-240 and 242. First, I want you to tell me where in Scripture God condones these things you accuse us of. Second, I want you to explain to me why you will bring such accusations against Christians whenever YOU are the ones causing the real damage.

@JESUStheATHEIST1 Second, I have made my point. He does not. Jesus commands us to love our neighbor (Matthew 23:37, Luke 10:27, Mark 12:30, and Deuteronomy 6:5). Love is not made known in rape, torture, slavery, etc.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 You also mentioned pro-lifers infringing a person's right to an abortion. I have a question about that. How could a right to an abortion be infringed? Especially when an abortion removes the rights of the unborn?
@NowAliveNHim sorry .....no! i will not answer your questions until you answer mine. respond to all the rape, slavery, child abuse and genocide your god condones. i and many are still waiting. this is the third time ive asked.
I love how these guys send out important messages that can make you laugh at the same time! Don't be afraid to share your faith but don't get in people's faces about it :)
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Owh, awesome! I love tinkerbell... Sigh, stupid atheist, i like your kind.
Why would you be so upset about christ, while al He wants is to help you. If you dont want help, sure... But you get angry at everyone that recieves this help. If you dont think you need help, why mind that others do?
Why dont you just stop attacking the followers of Christ? Man, I hope you become like the apostle Paul. I'd love that. Read about him, if you want, in the book of Acts.
christianity.....the belief that a cosmic jewish zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell hem you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...yeah, makes perfect sense.
1. That's not really an answer, is it? Owh wait, you guys never answer ;)
2. Where did you get that? it's a wonderfull short version of the bible, im gonna use it! Awesome! I love to get a good laugh somedays... Well whatever...
You dont accept the bible, you have been warned. But again, why do you attack Jesus' followers?
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Well, as you might know, a very well known verse in the bible: John 3:16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life."
It is a warning as well. vice versa, it says that those who do not believe in Jesus, will perish. The bible if full of those warnings.
You claim to be Jesus, you claim to have tested the bible and you dont believe it... How can you miss this part then>
@Hediedforme1990 Some people will not believe because of their own biases. Remember, God has left us enough evidence for the Gospels that the evidence will speak for itself. Read some of Lee Strobel's books. They are very insightful. Be prepared with an argument, not just a warning. He may have VERY BIASEDLY examined the Bible, but used no outside sources. Once you start to look at outside sources for additional witness, you see how accurate the Gospels really are. Read "The Archko Volume".
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Yet another point I would like to make is that no one challenged the fact that the tomb was empty OR the fact that Jesus performed miracles OR the fact that He showed supremacy over nature. You just don't find that. What you do find is people who come up with ridiculous theories (which will usually contradict themselves at some point) to try to explain away something.
@NowAliveNHim the tomb was empty because the bible said it was empty.jesus performed miracles because the bible said he did. he showed supremacy over nature because the bible said he did.and so on.you havent proven anything with simple writing from desert sand people from thousands of years ago. its embarrassing.your points are invalid.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 1st century Jewish historian Josephus said concerning Jesus, "About this time, there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he was one who wrought surprising feats and was a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Christ. When Pilate, upon hearing him accused by men of the highest standing among us, had condemned him to be crucified,"
@JESUStheATHEIST1 those who had in the first place come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared to them restored to life, for the prophets of God had prophesied these and countless other marvelous things about him. And the tribe of Christians, so called after him, has still to this day not disappeared."
There, you have an outside source attesting to Jesus. You can read Pontious Pilate's account of Jesus in the book, "The Archko Volume".
@JESUStheATHEIST1 That was written only about 30 years after Jesus' death. However, there is also a Roman historian, Tacitus, who wrote about Jesus. He said, "Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 And a most mischeivous superstitution, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the "evil", but even in Rome."
Here, we have an outside source attesting to the crucifixion of Jesus.
There were approximately 100 soldiers around the tomb of Jesus to guard it (Reference: The Archko Volume).
You also have not shown me ANY shred of evidence that Luke was not an accurate historian.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I have given you several accounts EVEN OUTSIDE OF THE GOSPELS that tell us exactly what they have been telling us all along. Not only that, but there is archeological backing for the Gospels. You, however, are like a prosecutor without any evidence. Look, if you can't back up your work, then don't bother debating. Otherwise, it becomes your opinion. And opinions can differ from facts.
@NowAliveNHim exactly opinions differ from facts. faith=no logic or facts.incredible claims require incredible proof. still waiting for proof outside your vile bible.wouldnt you think on omnipotent god would give us some sort of sign by now so that billions of people who are subscribing to all the wrong religions could avoid burning for eternity in hell?
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I gave you Josephus. I gave you Tacitus. Those are 2 sources of information outside of the Bible. I even quoted them for you, so you have no reason not to consider them historical. Faith is not blind, as you say. God has given us plenty of evidence. He's just waiting to see who will seek it out. Pontious Pilate, Tacitus, Josephus, Pliny the Younger, and Papias are all historians who wrote about Jesus outside of the Bible. If you don't believe me, read them yourself.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 It seems to me like you are just making excuses because you DON'T WANT to believe. If a person is stubborn, that is not the fault of a lack of evidence. There was enough evidence to convince C.S. Lewis, Josh McDowell, and Lee Strobel, all of whom were educated enough to do the research for themselves. I have the feeling that no matter how much historical proof I give you, you will not believe.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 So, do you still want to continue this debate? If so, you're going to have to stop rejecting the words of established historians. That would have gotten you thrown out of the debate a long time ago.
@NowAliveNHim The evidence for the existence of Jesus all comes from after his lifetime As a result, some critics argue that Biblical scholars have created the historical Jesus in their own image.A very small number of scholars believe the gospel accounts are so mythical in nature that nothing, not even the very existence of Jesus, can be determined from them.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 All of the evidence we have for the life of Alexander the Great comes after his lifetime. Same with Muhammid. There were creeds in place as early as 2 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus. That is simply not enough time to develop any legendary material. Especially not with other people who witnessed His life and could critique what they say. Your theory simply does not work. We are comparing a mere 2 years to 400 years after Alexander's death for his biographies.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 What "then-contemporary religion" are you talking about? Surely you don't mean the mithras cult? The earlies record of activity we have of this cult comes from the 2nd century AD. Simply put, if there was any borrowing going on, it was FROM Christianity. As I have already said, we know that Jesus existed from outside sources such as Josephus, Tacitus, and Pliny the Younger. Just because Philo didn't write about him would be like saying that because
@JESUStheATHEIST1 your favorite author didn't mention Lee Strobel, that Lee Strobel didn't exist. Besides, Philo was a PHILOSOPHER, not a historian. He dealt primarily with philosophy, not with history, so there is a very good reason why Jesus wasn't mentioned specifically by him. He wouldn't have been so much concerned with the Jesus of history, so much as the teachings of Jesus, which may have had an effect on his philosophy on ethics.
@NowAliveNHim the views of scholars who entirely rejected Jesus' historicity were based on a suggested lack of eyewitnesses, a lack of direct archaeological evidence, the failure of ancient works, like those of Philo for example, to mention Jesus, and similarities early Christianity shares with then-contemporary religion and mythology.
@NowAliveNHim established historians my ass. why dosnt your prick god give the world a fucking sign,so that billions who are born into the wrong religion can avoid the eternal fires of hell? after all, what if allah is god?your fucked! your jelous evil god who can stop mass suffering jerks off in silence. some piece of shit he is.
ask the million children who are dying right now in somilia.ask the protected pedophileS the catholic church helped to get away with child rape. THERE IS NO SANTA-GOD
@JESUStheATHEIST1 The fact that you can recognize evil is actually a strong argument FOR God's existance. If there were no absolute moral standard by which to judge evil, then we wouldn't know that evil exists, now would we? You can also look up Josephus anywhere. He is not related to the Bible at all. Same with Tacitus and Pliny the Younger. Also, the Catholic church is twisted in many of the things it does. There was a reason that there was a Protestant Reformation.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 However, not everything done in the name of Christianity is Christian. Some people take the name and attach it to certain things in an attempt to make it okay. It simply does not work that way. However, atheistic regimes have caused far more trouble than the Catholic church has. Just look at Hitler if you want an example. You would agree that the actions of the Nazis were evil, wouldn't you? I think you're just too afraid that I'll be right when you look up Josephus.
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Just because a person writes about Jesus doesn't make their witness void. You must have some reason to void their witness. Otherwise, you have pronounced Jesus guilty until proven innocent. Jesus said that the only sign that would be given would be His resurrection. There is plenty of evidence for that, you just have to look at history. The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel is his personal investigation of this evidence. When you want to grow up, we will continue this debate.
@tehMyychael What makes you so sure of that? Read Tacitus, Josephus, and Pliny the Younger. They all say that Jesus did exactly what the Gospels say that He has been doing. If you don't, but continue to make claims like this, you would either be biased or a liar. Either one is not considered reliable in the real world.

i will never bow down to a god that allows the keeping of slaves as propery. in the bible god and jesus tell us how to beat our slaves. is that moral? owning people as property? abominable.
JESUStheATHEIST1 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Where, then, do you find this evidence about "slaves"?
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Actually, slaves were allowed under Jewish law IF THEY OWED A DEBT AND WANTED TO WORK IT OFF. For example, if I owed you $100, and I could only pay $50 of it, I would work for you to pay the debt. That is the only kind of slavery allowed under God's law. We still do this in America today. Also, God's law required that every one of them be released every 7th year. Also, the Bible teaches that they were supposed to be treated as bretheren (read the book of Philemon & Leviticus).
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@NowAliveNHim ACTUALLY.... Except for murder, slavery has got to be one of the most immoral things a person can do. Yet slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves. i can provide you with the exact scriptures if you want to be embarrased further.
JESUStheATHEIST1 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I agree with you that slavery is immoral. I have already challenged you to give me Scriptures. You haven't come up with any. The Bible does not endorse beating slaves. In fact, God said that death was the penalty for beating a servant (the literal translation of the word) (Exodus 21:20). So, contrary to what you have been saying, the Bible does not endorse slavery. It does endorse working off a debt, which we have already discussed.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 God goes on to say that if you injure your servant, that he must be set free (Exodus 21:26-27). You know who Dr. Martin Luther King was, right? You know that he was a strong Christian too, don't you? In fact, used the same principle that Jesus taught about when he said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." Same with William Wilberforce. He was a strong Christian who ended the slave trade in Britain.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Same with Abraham Lincoln and U.S. Grant. They were all strong Christians who fought against slavery. Need I list more?
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@NowAliveNHim you avoid the point. those were mere men. i said your GOD wanted us to keep slaves. but then again you have a point,it was man who created god.
JESUStheATHEIST1 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I asked you to prove it to me. You are the one avoiding the point. You brought this issue up, and I want to debate it. My point is, since these men were inspired by the Word of God, then how can you say that God allows slavery? There are 2 types of slavery in history. These are: racial and economic. Racial slavery was what happened in America. It involves being forced to be a slave based on one's race. Economic slavery, as it is called, is a different matter.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Economic slavery is based on the principle that if I owe you a debt, I can work for you to pay it off. When it is paid off, I go free. That was the principle. It was not forced labor, as you say. It the right to work off a debt when a person couldn't pay a debt. The entire book of Philemon was written to oppose treating others as less than human--regardless of circumstances in their life.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I'm starting to think you don't have any Scriptures. You still haven't given me any. You can't just avoid a point when an argument isn't in your favor. Besides, Stalin treated millions of people worse than what you are talking about, and that was an atheistic regime. He murdered millions of innocents. Surely you can't avoid that bigger issue?
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 You think that evolution has been proven, then? Sorry, I saw one of your comments on another video. Have you even read "On The Origin Of Species"? Charles Darwin makes some pretty radical claims there. What's even more radical is how much doubt he had in the theory. He said such things as, "Such a simple instinct as a bee making a beehive is sufficient to overthrow my entire theory." and "To suppose that the eye, with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selections, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree." And "For I am well aware that scarcely a single point is discussed in this volume ON WHICH FACTS CANNOT BE ADDUCED, often apparently leading to conclusions directly opposite to those at which I arrived." AND "There is a grandeur in this view of life,
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 with its several powers, HAVING BEEN ORIGINALLY BREATHED BY THE CREATOR into a few forms or into one." So, you see, even Darwin had extreme doubts about his own theory.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@NowAliveNHim yes and since using the scientific method we have further proven his theory. believe it or not the bible and man once thought the sun revolved around the earth. however over the years using the scientific method........aww fuck it. your to stupid to understand. go away and pray. its like pounding a circle into a square.
JESUStheATHEIST1 5 months ago
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Your remarks continue to be unfounded. Show me in the Bible where it says this. You don't get brownie points for not doing your research. In fact, Job 38:12-14 says, "Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused dawn to know its place.....The earth is turned as clay to the seal.". It was also the Bible that commanded us to wash our hands in running water (see Leviticus 15:13). This has helped reduce deaths tremendously.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 An article published in recent years shows us that the Bible account of one man and one woman being created is quite possibly the truth. It reads: "Researchers suggest that virtually all modern men--99% of them, says one scientist-- are closely related genetically and share genes with one male ancestor, dubbed 'Y-chromosome Adam.' We are finding that humans have very, very shallow genetic roots which go back very recently to one ancestor."(U.S. News & World Report, Dec. 4,1995)
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 It does not make someone anti-science to critique any theory, including Darwin's. Evolution runs contrary to the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. The 1st Law of Thermodynamics also favors Creation in the scientific argument. If you can't provide any Scriptures for anything you say, then you shouldn't be saying it. I, on the other hand, have quoted from historians and scientists, and even Darwin himself. You have yet to quote anything reliable. Your only source is a Youtube video.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 The scientific method could not prove evolution anyway. There are 7 steps to the scientific method. Step 4 is: "Test your hypothesis by doing an experiment." This leaves evolution hanging, because you can't test it. Steps 5-7 rely on step 4 being completed. Since step 4 can't be completed, neither can steps 5-7. The only things we have are the laws of physics, which tend to favor Creation (I've used the Laws of Thermodynamics as examples).
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Step 6 of the scientific method is: "Draw a conclusion." Since step 6 can't be completed (because step 4 can't be completed), no conclusion can be drawn.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@NowAliveNHim there should be a 12 step program for stupidity.
JESUStheATHEIST1 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 First off, REALLY? THAT'S your best reply? I expected much more out of a man who made the claims you did. I first thought you a worthy foe in this debate. Now I see that you are nothing more than a mockingbird passing along information that is unfounded in the first place. Like I said, I would be willing to debate you any time. Next time, though, focus on the facts. You seem to have alot of blind faith in atheism. I have a good book for you.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 It's called "I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist". I did not defend my point with the intent to embarass you or to prove you a liar. I have examined the historical, archeological, and scientific facts, and have come to the conclusion that what the Bible teaches is sound. It is the Word of God. I have a challenge for you: read the book of Isaiah. Read the prophecies about the messiah. Compare those to Jesus. The earliest complete book of Isaiah we have dates to 125 BC.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 This means that it was copied 125 years before Christ. I'll even give you references to some specific prophecies. (Isaiah 35:4-6; Isaiah 40:1-5, 9; Isaiah 50:6; and Isaiah 53:1-12).
I want to make another point. I didn't come here to embarass you, or to make you seem like a liar, or to make you look bad. I came here to point out the facts, and the facts lean in favor of Jesus. If you still have questions, I'll answer them.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@NowAliveNHim no thanks, the lord of the rings is a much better story.
JESUStheATHEIST1 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Look, don't embarass yourself further. Surely you would believe that beliefs should be grounded in truth, right? If not, it's called blind faith. It takes a lot of blind faith to be an atheist. It takes less faith to be a Christian. I just think that you're afraid to continue this debate. You're too embarrassed by the facts. I don't think your problem is an intelligence problem. It's not that there is not enough evidence for Christianity. It's because you're stubborn.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 You've made your choice, and are too stubborn to go to where the facts lead. That's called being narrow-minded. I took an objective look at the evidence. I saw that the evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of Christ. Is the reason you made your last comment because you don't have any more questions, or because you don't WANT to ask any more questions? Atheism requires blind faith in Darwinistic evolution. Science disproves evolution (Laws of Thermodynamics). History does too.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 As does archeology. I'll tell you what. I'm headed for vacation. I will be gone for 4 or 5 days. During that time, study history, archeology, and science. If you aren't willing to study something objectively, the reason is narrow-mindedness. If, during that time, you can come up with a LEGITIMATE argument (not something based off a Youtube video), I will debate you on it. If not, I expect to see you stop posting comments like this on ALL videos. I will embarass you if I have to
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Hopefully, during my vacation, you will see the truth, and the truth will set you free (John 8:32).

Hitler wrote, "If nature does not wish that weaker individuals should mate with the stronger, she wishes even less that a superior race should intermingle with an inferior one; because in such cases all her efforets, throughout hundreds of thousands of years,
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Hitler was not Catholic, as you claim. HE ACTUALLY USED DARWIN'S THEORY OF EVOLUTION TO JUSTIFY THE HOLLOCAUST. The evidence comes from a book that he wrote in 1924, called "Mein Kampf" (or "My Struggle"). The evidence is on pages 239-240, 242. Now, coupled with the fact that you cannot present a single Scripture to back up your claim, it seems that I'm not the one who has any explaining to do. It's you.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I will rephrase what you asked me (unjustly, I might add): "Before you get on next time, maybe you can actually come up with an answer as to why you support a theory that people can freely use to justify killing millions of innocent people." First, I want you to show me these "Scriptures" you claim to have. (I know you don't have them, because they do not exist). Second, explain to me why you support a theory that people can freely use to justify mass murders.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I also see that you've blocked me from commenting on your channel, as well as deleted all of my posts. Are you scared of me or something? You should be.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Also, I saw your comment to NightPro08. Isn't it YOU that's butting in on a Christian video, though? You started this debate, yet you get angry when we win it. You're nothing but a sore loser, and, considering your hate speech, seem to be as bad as Hitler. Seems reasonable, though, since he used the theory of evolution (the same theory you are defending) to justify the Hollocaust.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Hitler gave just as much hate speech as you have. He used the same theory to justify his hate speech. What's your next step? Are you going to start killing Christians because God gave us commands to do exactly the opposite of what you are accusing us of? I've already mentioned that THE ENTIRE BOOK OF PHILEMON WAS WRITTEN BY PAUL AGAINST SLAVERY. Jesus commanded us not to even look lustfully at a woman. Also, IT WAS THE EARLY CHRISTIANS THAT WERE TORTURED.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago

NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 (By the way, I was referring to the fact that rape, genocide, slavery, torture, and child abuse are evil by God's standards. Jesus' command to love our neighbors as ourselves is not. I did not have space in the last post to spell out each one individually. I wanted to take an extra post to clarify that, in case it was too ambiguous in the last post. By the way, I'm still waiting on those "Scriptures" you claim to have. You don't have them, do you? No, because they don't exist.)
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 By the way, if you're an atheist, you're doing a poor job of arguing. Your arguments presuppose the God that you keep trying to deny.If God exists, then so does an absolute, moral standard by which everyone will be judged. If He does not (as you claim), then no such standard exists, at which point morals just become a matter of opinion.I choose to belive there is an absolute moral standard (created by God).I refuse to bow to a theory that allows people to choose their own morals
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 By the way, the theory of evolution is too flawed to be trusted. Either matter is eternal, or there is a God Who created matter. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, along with Einstein's Theory of Relativity, show that the earth is NOT eternal. If the earth had existed from eternity, we couldn't be having this conversation right now. Why? Because the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics makes a point: that the earth is wearing out. If it were infinately old, it would be nonexistant right now.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 That only leaves a Creator.

JESUStheATHEIST1 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Actually, atheists force their beliefs on "religious people", too. The fact that we're arguing on a CHRISTIAN video right now is evidence of that. Once again, I cite Hitler as an example. I have already pointed out that evolution is, in fact, a statistical impossibility. I would like to debate each of these issues with you separately, as I do not have enough room to post them individually. I would like to begin with evolution. Can you prove it? Can I disprove it? I want to see.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 First off, I have proven that matter is not eternal (2nd Law of Thermodynamics and the Theory of Relativity have mathematically proven this.) That is, there is no matter that has existed from eternity. Scientists have related the beginning of the universe with the "Big Bang". Before this, there was no matter, no space, no time, no light. There was simply nothing. The majority of scientists believe this, including both creationists and evolutionists.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Since matter is not eternal, how do you explain something coming from nothing?
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I've waited for a few minutes for your response. As I expected, there was only science. I would like to point out that THE BIG BANG HARMONIZES WITH THE GENESIS ACCOUNT OF CREATION. Genesis speaks of God creating the universe out of nothing. Most scientists would agree that the universe came from nothing. As far as this debate goes, I have an answer when you have silence.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 THIS IS THE CORRECTED VERSION OF MY LAST POST (I put a word in the wrong place in the last one.): I've waited for a few minutes for your response.

JESUStheATHEIST1 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 First of all, again, on this post, you've inserted your own context. The literal translation from the original Hebrew is "young women". So the Israelites were to take all of the young women as wives for the tribe of Benjamin. Second, you only quoted the first 3 verses. Do you want to continue and explain to everybody that THE TRIBE OF BENJAMIN TOOK THEM AS WIVES? This is found in the last few verses that you quoted. Need I continue here?
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Now, it's my turn. Hitler wrote that he believed the Jews were inferrior, justifying it by Darwin's theory of evolution. Now, explain to me why you support such a theory.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Besides, you have no right to comment on morals if you're an atheist. If evolution were true, then morals don't exist. What is the chemical composition of love? How much does hate weigh? If this is a completely material world, as evolution suggests, there is no such thing as love or hate.Even the theory itself is not material. How do you explain that? However, if God exists, then there IS such a moral standard. So, if you are to make inferences about right & wrong, you must admit God.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@NowAliveNHim hey godboy! why not respond to all the rape, slavery, child abuse and genocide your god condones? hmmmm? moral standards from your evil, vile, disgusting bible? no thanks.

@JESUStheATHEIST1 I refuse to be angry with you any more. I have made my point. You are not interested in the point that I've made. You're just interested in making me angry. Before I answer any more of your questions, do you mind answering the one question I have been asking you all this time? Why do you support the same theory that Hitler used to justify the Holocaust?
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Exactly. Nothing but silence from you. Look, you may not care about God or Jesus, but they both care about you. The fact that you are alive is proof of that. He's always been there for you, and always will be. You'll find Him when you seek Him with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13). I can't make you become a Christian. That's a choice you have to make. Christians have defended the rights of many people in the world, including yours. You even have the right to reject us.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Whichever choice you make, it's your choice, and not mine. If you still have questions, I'm still here to answer them. No, I don't have all the answers. No finate man could understand an infinate God. However, we know enough to realize that He cares for us. He wants us to know that much. Regardless of what you think, and regardless of what you've done, He still loves you. You can choose to love Him or to hate Him, but either way you have to choose. There is no neutral ground.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 C.S. Lewis put it best. He wrote,
"There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done." All that are in hell, choose it. Without that self-choice, there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. [To] those who knock it is open."
-C.S. Lewis "The Great Divorce"
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I have answered your question. God's command is to love. Love is patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, does not dishonor others, is not self-seeking, is not easily anger, does not rejoice with wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13). These are the attributes God commands us to have. Which one do you condemn us for?
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 That's why we need God's grace. Jesus came to give us that grace. He took our punishment on Himself so that we, no longer carrying the weight of our sin, could meet this Being that loves us so much. Jesus loves us more than He loved His own life. The scars on His hands and feet prove it.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 God's standard is not determined by what people do. Humans didn't make it. God did. The thing about the law is that it cannot save. Only God's grace can do that. God's standard was not determined by what Israel did or didn't do, but on His character. The Hindus teach not to help others. God teaches to help others, even at your own expense. Some Muslims teach that women are inferrior. God made us equal but different. That is what the Bible teaches. Love. Do not hate.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Our God teaches us to love others "even as you love yourself" (Mark 12:31). If you want to condemn us, God has given you that option. However, there are other religions that teach abominations. Love is not abominable. I'm not perfect. I've proven that to you in the way I got angry with you. However, you aren't perfect either. You've proven that through your hate speech.

NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 Most of the people who helped us understand scientific truths were Christians. Even Charles Darwin professed some belief in God. Albert Einstein even said, "Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind." Einstein realized something. God created the laws of nature. In them, we can see His fingerprints.Evolution has yet to explain many of the major questions to which the Bible has always had an answer. Honestly, I feel sorry for those who don't know Jesus.

NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 In fact, it seems that from Hitler's private conversations that he wanted to wipe Christianity off the face of the planet and replace it with some kind of Nazi religion. In light of the evidence, it doesn't seem to label Hitler as an atheist in the sense that you believe I am using. I guess one way to put it is that Hitler seems to have been a neo-paganist. In a sense, he seemed atheist, just as a Buddhist may be labeled an atheist. However, he was definately not Christian.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 By the way, Exodus 20 gives a list of commandments. Besides, I would like to point out that the Scripture you referenced said that Moses was angry, not that God was angry. It also said that Moses was angry because these women that they had let live had listened to Baalam, a man who had told them to deceive the Israelites. The Israelites were told to kill all the women who had deceived them. Show me where God specifically says to have slaves or to abuse children. It's not there.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago

NowAliveNHim 5 months ago

Why? @JESUStheATHEIST1 Well, as you might know, a very well known verse in the bible: John 3:16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life."
It is a warning as well. vice versa, it says that those who do not believe in Jesus, will perish. The bible if full of those warnings.
You claim to be Jesus, you claim to have tested the bible and you dont believe it... How can you miss this part then>
Hediedforme1990 6 months ago

NowAliveNHim 5 months ago

NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 those who had in the first place come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared to them restored to life, for the prophets of God had prophesied these and countless other marvelous things about him. And the tribe of Christians, so called after him, has still to this day not disappeared."
There, you have an outside source attesting to Jesus. You can read Pontious Pilate's account of Jesus in the book, "The Archko Volume".
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 That was written only about 30 years after Jesus' death. However, there is also a Roman historian, Tacitus, who wrote about Jesus. He said, "Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 And a most mischeivous superstitution, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the "evil", but even in Rome."
Here, we have an outside source attesting to the crucifixion of Jesus.
There were approximately 100 soldiers around the tomb of Jesus to guard it (Reference: The Archko Volume).
You also have not shown me ANY shred of evidence that Luke was not an accurate historian.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
@JESUStheATHEIST1 I have given you several accounts EVEN OUTSIDE OF THE GOSPELS that tell us exactly what they have been telling us all along. Not only that, but there is archeological backing for the Gospels. You, however, are like a prosecutor without any evidence. Look, if you can't back up your work, then don't bother debating. Otherwise, it becomes your opinion. And opinions can differ from facts.
NowAliveNHim 5 months ago
