It led him to meet Famed explorers and conservationists like the late, legendary Jauque Yves Cousteau! Cousteau was taken with John's simple country sincerity and took him for A sea voyage which is where we got the song Calypso! sadly he was killed while flying an experimental high performance aircraft off the coast of Monterey, California.

He accidentally applied rudder, and the plane went into a steep turn to the left, and he crashed. He was only 500 feet in the air after a takeoff. He crashed 150 yards from shore. Good movie!

@themusicisyou I have been to pretty much every state in the US....and let me tell you.... Denver is BEAUTIFUL..... there is a place where the freeway goes through the mountain in a tunnel.... I think its just outside of Denver...... the river flows right along the road..... its paradise.
