For Newbies: Go to the Menu and click on Window

then find Snippets, Assets, Tag Inspector, and any other toolbar that is not already open and check them.

From there you can click and drag any of those toolbars to the left side of the screen and put them into the same column by clicking and dragging that toolbox on top of another one.

Hang in there I know you'll get the hang of this!

how did you get that toolbar on the left ???

@Max99000 You need to look up at the top of Dreamweaver and then select where it says designer and change it to coder. Once that is done your bar will move to the left. Then look at the top left where it shows the Dw logo and just below that are little arrows that you need to click. Then hit ctrl f3 and the properties window should come up below. Now put your mouse on the word properties and click and drag to the existing bar just below the Dw logo and your done.

If you notice. From Video 6 to Video 7 you got rid of all the stuff on the right panel, and then magically put something on the left panel where you clicked files. To keep up, your viewers need to know how you did that.

@mcb1453 Fireworks is a different program, and you don't need it to do what he is doing. The reason he is using Fireworks is because he laid out his design in Fireworks. You could design a site in Photoshop or some other program.

These videos are great I've learnt so much in just an hour or so. I just wanted to say that there are a couple of moments when you can pick up the pace just a little. I know why you are going over points like padding and spacing a number of times but I'd try not to repeat yourself too often. If people don't get it they can jump the video back and listen again. Repeating it can make people want to fast forward which isn't so easy. Other than that little point I'm loving these. Thank you!

Hi,I just wanted to ask what is main dreamweaver site resolution,becaouse every time i select background image it is not large enough,or it duplicates,and it's bad quality...I want to create my personal background image in photoshop but I don't know what site resoluiton is...Does anyone know? How did you move the box with insert, css styles, files etc on the left hand side? Mine is stuck on the bottom.

@xTReeTooNx I don't know if there's a more technical answer, but it's basically just web standard. When you type in a website URL, your browser tells the web server to find and display the 'index' file within that website's domain. The base URL for every website -is- the 'index' file.
