  • god i hate paddle shifters i know im gonna get alot of shit for it but whatever i know they are faster and they accelerate faster cause you shift faster but i still love that feel when you slam it into gear and go

  • sounds just like Gran Turismo lol

  • The Synchronic line of products are available by registering at SYNAPSEENGINEERING*COM/CART, use referral code YOUTUBE when you register and be eligible for limited edition designs and market pre-releases

  • Viper wasent havin that JDM shit

  • viper..............gone.

  • he could have kept up with that viper. if he could drive better =|

  • Still an automatic...

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos

    paddle shifters you dumbass

  • @trillsouthernpimp Like I said...

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos not automatic. google it if you dont wanna argue with me

  • @trillsouthernpimp There's no argument... You can certainly pretend that "manumatic" isn't an automatic transmission if you want...

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos nope. seriously google it if you think so.

  • @trillsouthernpimp nope. seriously learn to drive if you're butthurt.

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos GR6 dual clutch transmission.

  • @trillsouthernpimp I know what a dual clutch tranny is... Still an automatic... Paddle shifters still aren't a manual. The fact that you feel an incessant need to prove your inconsequential and false point says a lot.

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos why the fuck do you need to clutch then? figure that one out dumbass

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos and dont talk like a damn english scholar. it sounds so stupid

  • @trillsouthernpimp El oh el! Don't be mad just because you had to bust out a dictionary to read that. Maybe you'll learn to "talk english good" some day, right after you learn how to drive a stick.

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos hahaha this isnt about who cant drive stick dumbass. and dont try me, if there is one thing i can do it is fucking drive stick

  • @trillsouthernpimp Based on how butthurt you are over the whole paddle shifters thing, I kinda doubt it...

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos dude i know its fucking paddle shifters haha. your an ignorant faggot shut up.

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos its a fucking manual tranny dumbass. automatic tranny's dont have clutches at all. idk why your so stuck up about it. just because the evo x and the ford tauras sho (whicj is gay and its a granny car) have sport paddle shifting modes doesnt mean that the gtr does

  • @trillsouthernpimp Actually, "The Nissan GT-R uniquely offers exceedingly quick gear shift speeds and full automatic transmission. In A (for automatic transmission) range, the car changes gear automatically, in the most fuel efficient manner." It does have a "sport paddle shifting mode," just like ur granny car.

  • I found myself leaning around the corners and pushing the gas all in the comfort of my couch haha

  • take a driving lesson sunshine

  • Should of named video GTR raw tire sound!

  • Like This JDM Page on Facebook Search: JDM-Drift-Race

  • @SuperJDMFan your the pages creator? im Daniel k hahahaha what a coincidence :P

  • @Uber2DaMax lol some times i feel that the world is small :P

  • holy shit my ears are bleeding....if your gonna go to the track get those all season trash tires off the car

  • How can that viper keep ahead of such a nice handling car in the corners.

  • @kevinxcal1

About a 100 HP more, weighs a lot less, and racing tires ;).

The Viper is one of the best handling cars out there, a tough match for the GTR.

  • @TheKiwiLord you think the viper weighs less then the GTR???

  • @Tj1056

Yes, about 200 kg less... and that's a lot.

  • @TheKiwiLord bro the skyline is 3080 without being stripped... ACR is 3408 and it is fairly stripped and race prepped.

  • @Tj1056

You know this car is the R35 GT-R right?

    Not a R32/33/34 Skyline?

The new R35 weighs over 1700 out of the factory.

  • @TheKiwiLord LOL no it is not

  • @TheKiwiLord if it is the new GTR then it has more HP then the ACR and its still not stripped like the ACR is...

  • @Tj1056

    R35 GTR: 1740 Kilos, nearly 500 HP

    ACR: 1546 Kilos, 600 HP.

That's when both are stock. The ACR holds the record on Laguna Seca. The ACR is 6, yes SIX seconds faster around one lap of Laguna Seca.

No matter how you put it, the ACR is faster than the GTR.

  • @TheKiwiLord o yes nevermind was looking at a older year Viper that was like 440hp and they said the ACR added 40hp+ but yea the ACR is 640hp but a modded GTR cannot be messed with those are bugatti killers lol

  • @kevinxcal1 That is the ACR Viper, it is a factory track-prepped car. It can pull something like 1.1g's on the OE tires. It's an extremely well tuned car.

  • i can't wait to buy this car man i gotta get sooo much pussyesssss

  • @xanvinhduong If that's all you want to do with the car, what a waste of 80 grand.

  • Viper lost ya... OOPS

  • stability is shit on this car

  • poor tyres

  • I like how they make excuses about the Viper disappearing ahead of them...

  • Why's he called "Switch Hands" ?

  • @NaeJoy Because he switches the position of his hands on the steering wheel I think...

  • should of got some semi slicks on that ride b4 u hit the track again...

  • I like the captions as you're driving.

  • Isn't the GTR supposed to smoke everything else on the track :p

  • @noojra hahaha with a good driver it can :p

  • this car remind me of gran turismo 2 lol ahahhaha

  • hey your tires called, their suing you for rape.

  • @blahblah718293

and the jerk store called, they're running out of YOU!!

  • good lines!!!!!!

  • I agree with roflex2. He is pushing it too hard and the lines are sorta sloppy.

  • hes driving too hard, would have been quicker if he had less speed in the corners I reckon

  • fuck yeah nice driving bro badass car gtr...

  • listen to all the grips the tyres are trying to make~ :)

  • great driving man forget what all of these other people are saying i guarantee you can drive better than all of them

  • Paddle shifters are for people who use moisturizing products. Get an R33 or R34 and get a real tunable car.

  • @beefer86 Which im sure you already have

  • bet the vipers tires were quiet

  • Supposed to sound like music? Sounds like just another 4 bannger. Oh yeah and a hole lot of really annoying road noise and tire squeal. I imagine something like this as background "music" running 24/7 in hell.

  • @Warblade118 its a 6 cyl u dumbass

  • @mynock05 Do you have problems with reading comprehension? I said sounds LIKE a 4cly. That doesnt mean it IS a 4cly, it just means I thought it sounded like one. You obviously jumped the gun, and were possible a little offended by my opinion, so Ill forgive you.

  • @Warblade118 suck my dick you hoe

  • @mynock05 Oh, ouch. Think of that one all by yourself did you? I'll bet your mother is real proud of you. Little advice, if you don't have anything intelligent to say, don't embarrass yourself by opening your mouth, okay?

  • @Warblade118 stfu nigger

  • @mynock05 Lol if you going to throw around racial slurs at least get them right, Im not black. Pretty pathetic attempt at insulting me btw. At this point you really need to demonstrate a modicum of intellectual, and I use that word generously in your case, restraint and be quiet.

  • cool vid, i enjoyed it

  • fuck tire squeel

  • @BMLtagger i hate that shit too :)

  • god all i can hear is understeer... the car needs to be setup better

  • @pewpewjinkz just better tyres

  • the driver has good car control

  • @golferchin76 ....... you are the man, infact arent you the guy in FNF movies?

  • have u lost your mind? FNF are not real, stop being sarcastic and learn something! actually, if you do track days at all, learn from veterans. or pay some money for 3 day track school.

  • @golferchin76

Oh yes i should cause your the man and know everything and go track so much and drive 500 hp cars ..

you dont know me or what I have done so i suggest you dont go round telling everyone to get more practice cause that person may infact be better than you.

  • i don't drive 500hp cars, too much for my skill right now, do you race or do any track day? If want to counter, counter with something reasonable and technical based.

read other people's comments in this thread and you will know half of the people doubt this guy's driving skill.

if you insist this guy's good....well that's your freedom.

  • @golferchin76

check my account to see how I treat my vehicle on the track. and yes i race.. and I dont need to reply with something techincal based.

I just came here to tell you to STFU cause your bitching about nothing

  • hey smart ass, liter bike weighs 20 kg than 600cc bikes. do some research before you replay. another prime example about you know little of motorsport. get a life and stop bashing people's comments which are not directing to you.

  • oh, you can block my reply, but you last msg to my account just show how little your knowledge of biking and car racing you have. You like car racing? all you do is racing in game, as your upload shows. get a life and stop harrassing people.

  • yup your the man...... I enjoy both cyber racing and real life racing.... your too immature too see that... bye

  • cyber racing? You donkey go out there and do some real car racing already! so you said I am immature? How can an immature man own and run 2 companies with enough money to support his motorsport hobby? get a life young man.

  • okay, leave me alone now please... thanks

  • I never said that was a bad driver. He is a excellent/awesome driver! And I love the GTR! Apart from the squeal hehe

  • That is the squeely sound of understeer on a AWD car :(

  • @sanketkm

no, thats the sound of someone who knows how to drive!

  • Actually, that's the sound of someone who drive on the track but does not know the limit of the tires, or the secret of racing. Entering corners, going through corners, exiting corners, all squealing like that will simply make your lap time slow. By the way, try driving with all the electronics aids turned off.

  • It's true. Squealing tires = loss of traction = slower lap times. Drifiting is a prime example, amazing drivers, but they will never post a best lap time around a track driving it sideways. Of course, thats not what drifting is about.

  • Wish I could have been there to set this up right.. Sounds like crap.

  • Man, it's the driver, not the set up, he pushed way over the tires' limit, causing overall slower corner speed. He should hard brake to bring down the car's speed to correct corner entry speed, enter it and attack the apex, and power out with the least amount of tire slippage. This is novice driving skill. he might do good in drift track day though lol

  • @golferchin76 - I'm not talking about the driving, I'm talking about the audio - which this video is supposed to be showcasing. The signal is distorted and clipped out nearly the entire time. The microphone could not handle the SPL, or the recorder was set wrong. A good sound guy would have done a test run and heard that some adjustments were needed. This sounds like crap. 1 star for the sound.

  • Ooops, I didn't know that. What is SPL by the way? For me I am just amazed 'in the negative way' of how this car went through corner with massive lost of traction.

  • considering you only had street tires on you did a pretty damn good job wish i was in the passenger side lol.

  • so I am guess all those busted ass wastegates and bov's you made bought this beauty?? Nice

  • Under Under Under

  • just listen to that understeer!!! :)

  • And how does understeer sounds like?

  • It squeals like a pig. It's the sound of disspointment :o)

  • @nospa21 you're a fucking idiot, you think tire squeel only means understeer? are you really trying to say the gtr understeers a lot? you clearly no nothing. stfu dumb ass. don't bother responding cause i won't even bother reading it you stupid faggot

  • @nospa21 is stupid in your genes or something?

  • @nospa21 GRIP MOTHERFUCKER! GRIP!

  • wtf ??? the r8 ??

  • don't worry it was just a rookie driver in the r8

  • Bloody hell... that changes direction well! Awesome car.

  • tires sound painful, is that normal?

  • the sound and the understeer are due to the wrong tires. We were trying out a set of tires that proved to be pretty inadequate, to say the least.

Also, the mic was mounted in the engine bay which picked up ALL of the tire noise.

  • tires are street tires, so they aren't gripping as well as a higher performance set would

  • Very nice but sounds and looks like you have some massive understeer.

  • yes, again, just due to the wrong set of tires. The Dunlops have very little understeer

  • the GT-R is hella sickk but its automatic!!!

  • aside from the godzilla look, that's another huge disappointment. This generation's GTR will not be offered in stick shift version. This is so not Nissan!

  • it soundds good.

  • LOL

That was funny the way he gave the informative "pre-notice" about tires on the faster viper to keep people from slamming the GTR.

It kinda reminded me of the "freeze-framed" captions that would appear over the heads of Wiley Coyote and Roadrunner in the old cartoon shows.

    (Nissanicus slowicus) and (viperonius highvelocitous)

  • I lol`d. But it`s true, if the GT-R had track Hoosiers it could keep up atleast in the corners. If the Viper had street tyres its rear end would be all over the place

  • Ha ha.. I could only imagine.

Getting 600+ to the ground on a road course with sreet tires would be about as fun as trying to run away from wolves "on-foot" with socks while on a freshly waxed tile floor while.

  • Yah.

  • really, if he knows his car, tires, 'track' well (practices, practices, practices), he can hard brake at the right spot and bring the car into corner at correct speed, hit the apex, then power out, and hit full gas on straights, then hard brake, corner entry, exit, again and again. We practice on top great street tires such as AD08, Supersport, and qualify and race on slicks. in a short course like the video, slicks probably will give the GTR's driver 2 sec less lap time.

  • If the GT-R had track hoosier it might not be able to keep up with the viper. If the viper had street tires its rear end will not have been all over the place. It all depends on the driver. By the look of it, the driver in the viper is quite good at his tires' limit. a 600 bhp rear driven viper, no tires (hoosier or not) can take the beating if the car enter the corner too fast, or if driver gas it too much exiting corner. and, slicks give no audible sound when power>traction. it just slips

  • Very true, that Viper makes sooo much torque it can kick out the wheels regardless of the tires. Driver input is usually the biggest and most common error in a slow lap time. Regardless the Skyline is extremely impressive!

  • That Viper ACR has street legal race tires which means semi-slick. Lotus Exige wear such tires as Yokohama A048. The grip is not that great over the brand's top tier street tires AD08 and it is plan dangerous to drive in the rain. By the way, I just realized that Viper's rear's shod with massive 345 tires and it has rear LSD which helps on the grip.

  • "(Nissanicus slowicus) and (viperonius highvelocitous) "

    WTF??

  • Comment removed

  • If youve never seen any of the old "Wiley Coyote and Roadrunner" cartoons, then you probably would get that joke.

  • slicks are for drag racers!

The HOFF in his R8 needed to get out of your way.

  • slicks are better suited for a drag race but they do provide more traction around the corners than the standalone tire. in this case, since its a viper, its probably more around personal preference.

  • why did u guys say slicks are for drag race? US stock car, open wheel races, touring car championship all race on slicks. Slicks grip on tarmac like you never seen. Hot enough the outer-most layer simply remain soft and sticky. Thus the 2 sec advantage over a 2mile course.

  • I find it funny. Everyone says "Oh but the Viper had slicks!" Yeah well the Skyline has I don't know how many decades of history, ATTESA ET-S, 4WD. I don't really think he kept up, because after 2:38 we never see the Viper again. Don't get me wrong, I love the Skyline in so many more ways, but that Viper (and almost all Vipers) are amazing track cars.....you just have to be a really good driver, while the skyline helps drive for you.

  • I like the viper, R34 better than the current GTR. I've driven it, and felt driven by the car then (it didn't even have a stick!). My track car is an Exige S, my race car is an EG hatch, and I know how they perform in every corner. I can lap my track with EG in 'street tires' much faster than the Exige with semi-slick, but that's because of all the mods, close ratio gear, front driven, roll cage welded chassis. The Exige simply over-steer at high speed corner or fast chicane.

  • In good hands, the viper is a great track car, just like the vette, massive yet linear torque, rear wheel drive with massive rear tires. With proper set up, such as stiffer suspension/anti-roll bars , more negative camber on rear wheels. It should be fun to lap around the track. And the driver in the skyline simply does not his car's limit. And yet he's driving a peddle shift supercar with tons of electronic aids.

  • @golferchin76

stop talking like ur a god, noone here gives a care about ur genius, do us all a favor and go away? thanks..

  • Take your dislike somewhere else. my comments are based on real racing experience, and some on this thread do know track racing. I am pretty sure some would agree mine if they ever read the thread. This is youtube and if you put something up you are going to get + or - from whoever. Do you know why people term the activity as sport? This track is on flats, not even 'technical'. Your friend would get himself into real trouble on an off camber downhill high speed double apex turn.

  • The turn you just described sounds like a nightmare. Not really the downhill or high speed double apex, but OFF CAMBER. Ouch. Nothing helping you there. I also love the R34 more.I have no actual track experience. But I know how car dynamics work unlike half the people on here. I am actually building a 2.0 HTA3076 Audi A4Q. My goal is 500WHP, it will be fun, but my powerband will never be close to the Vipers, I'm hoping my weight will make the difference.

  • It is a nightmare... even the experienced spin out there. and because it is an old circuit the design of the run-off area is very small, once your car spin out, it will crash into buffer zone, twice. lol. The track is very technical, 2 downhill off camber turn, 2 up hill blind climb, 2 fast chicane with one needing a slower entry speed, a lot of Brits do motocycle track days there, they said it is more fun to ride in this short track than Sepang (Malaysian F1 circuit).

  • man, 500WHP means 600+crank HP, on a 2 liter engine that's a real big job (even 3 liters or up). over here our 2 liter event mostly take B18B, bore it to 2 liter, or take the more expensive K20A. The end result are mostly the same, close to 300 NA crank HP. There are lots of upgrades to the chassis before your car can take such power. I am quite sure your end result will be a beast of its own. I once test drove a 400+crank HP EVO VIII and was literally lol when turbo kicked in.

  • i will take a Viper ACR over GTR anyday if it's offered in my country. Man that thing looks beautiful! And I yet have to try a V10...

  • If it's not with all the electronics he would post even a slower time. at 1:00, 1:35, 1:43 lost count there, the GTR's rear-end wanted to go to the front, whilst the viper does not even have traction control, and on sticks.

  • y dint u get racing tires i dint hear the engine roar just tires asking for mercy

  • very litle tire marks on the track, apperently not alot of people like cirquit dirving, or the track must be very new.

    º_º

  • i agree with u kevin :L

  • Should be...GTR raw tire sound.

  • fast motherfucker. but has that tendency to understeer on a diffrent pavement.

  • kind of a rough line he got their. =\ he looks really nervous to me XD

  • he just kept pushing too much exiting the corner.

  • Audi R8 114,000 quattro 2dr Coupe AWD (4.2L 8cyl 6M). Nissan GTR-R35 80,075 2dr Coupe AWD (3.8L 6cyl Turbo 6AM). almost 40k difference. GTR is heavier and have room for 4, plus GTR get 21mpg. Look at the power of GTR @ 4:55. Better engineering, better price, for a stock super car more than worth it. Wish the spec-v will make it to America.

  • I agreed with you about GTR's best bang for the buck value, but... I followed its development for years (and who on this earth with 2 nuts doesn't!) but was stunned by the huge difference between the last concept and final production version. Really disappointed, although wouldn't mind having one in my stable. Journalists wrote that Spec V will not make it to America because price would be around 160k at that price point those interested would wait for the new NSX or next gen Supra.

  • Now, i a tired of all this car/country bashing. Engineers build things, and it the engineering of the GTR is better, then the care is better. Now all those other super cars; American, German, European, or watever none of those can compair to the GTR's price, room (i can bring my wife and 2 kids with me to the track in a gtr) speed, and overall handling. GTR-R35 starts @ 75,000. Anyone know of another SUPER car in that price range with room for the family? and it stock? guess not.

  • im sure viper wasnt stock plus if was on better tires

  • considering the viper had 600hp and slicks...

the GTR is stock and has street tires, woulda been a way better match had the GTR have decent tires.

  • thats what he is saying...he was keeping up and he had street tires.

  • lol

ooops musta replied to the wrong one .

    scottGETSmoney

    meant towards that guy

  • Keeping up? No chance- that Viper was gone- if you watched the video you would know that.

  • so he said the viper had slicks on it which he wasn't able to keep up, and bullied the novice driver in the R8. Laughed my ass off. The Viper is a rear drive car, much harder to throw around the track. And it's got "STICK" shift which means the driver in the Viper must have mastered heel-toe to drive that fast.

  • Not necessarily. The Viper driver didn't even look like he was pushing the car at all.

  • Well the GT-R was said to have 480hp but it actually has around 550-580 so there pretty close, and it's awd where as the viper is only RWD.

  • maybe 580 at the crank, definatley not at the wheels.

and the viper clearly looks like it was setup for the track ( if it wasnt what the hell is he doing with that wing and hoosiers). a well setup track car RWD would be able to take a AWD car with horibble tires.

not only that imo a RWD vehicle is nicer to push around a track, AWD has some understeer which makes it scary going into corners hard.

  • Dodge Viper ACR comes from the factory like that, aside from the tires... Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if he had stock tires.

  • wit hthat wing? i didnt know that was factory lol, im not much into vipers like i was when i was a kid.

but still, im sure they werent lieing lol, and you could tell he defiatley had something sticky on there or he woulda got some mad oversteer. the guy in the GTR was nursing the throttle and fighting the wheel pretty hard.

600hp on street tires would be plain crazy/stupid so im sure he definatley had some nice meats on it

  • The ACR comes from the factory with a quality set of tires- just like the GTR (not saying they're the same tires, they're not), but the tires on the Viper are a good bit wider. And yes, the ACR comes from the factory with that spoiler as well as a front spoiler.

  • Yea if that was a true ACR the GTR had no chance at all.

  • you saw that it had ?

  • yeah that could be.

but agian if he was pushing 600hp, on tires like the GTR that would have been one crazy ride.

i still think that car was set up proper, the GTR on the other hand... he had to pedal so much

  • Laughed out loud when you wrote "if it wasnt what the hell is he doing with that wing and hoosiers" I also think a RWD vehicle is great drive, but AWD is not bad either because its exist corner faster. However, have you wondered why in all FIA certified races there are mostly FWD or RWD categories. I can hardly find AWD events except rally races. In race trim, the advantage of AWD over RWD is little, but it is heavier and higher maintenance needed.

  • i would prefer a RWD through corners, AWD still understeers abit like a FWD unless it has proper tires and a proper split i guess.

  • As you mentioned, AWD needs proper split to get rid of the understeer, but that's a big job. Stock EVO, Impreza the torque split is that the rear will not exceed 50% of total engine torque, thus the understeer. Don't know about the GTR though. Now if you want oversteer, you can set up this way. Higher rear tire pressure, stiffer rear damper setting, and more front negative camber.

  • @ilovefastcarslots Evos are perfect at split. 80% 20% thats why they are able to pull over 1.2Gs stock. FQ400 model is insane.

  • @ilovefastcarslots but doesnt 4WD has less chance of oversteering ? even entering at high speed = p

  • Woooh hes running on those tires hard. One time use? haha

  • Comment removed

  • auto tragic..

  • he's using paddle shifters if you look carefully.
