jon theodore didnt like being in the band as much as the rest of the members because on drums there was no real room for theodore to improv. it was really black and white for drums, and for things like guitar and bass and keys, there are too many grey areas for a live setting. plus rodriguez lopez stated in an interview that thedore never suggested anything new musically.

@magicbag6790 Saw these guys 3 times in 07. For a band so chaotic with so much improvisation jon was the glue that held it together. The drumming was tight as! I saw them later with Thomas Pridgen drumming and it was off the hook! That guy is a madman! the energy was 10 fold the other shows, it was a little TOO energetic and then he'd improv, throwing all these beats around, real tricky stuff but it just sounded messy. I missed jons epic breakdowns in hindsight, sounded better.

I finally figured it out.... LOL!!!! Now Ifinally know why they got rid of Jon, you've got to watch this video real closely but you'll noticed no one in the band took too kindly to the drum solo he did. He must've been high as fuck or maybe they all were but you can feel the tension in the air- it's palpable. But in the meantime, however, this has got to be their most brilliant performance I've seen recorded thus far:) The lesson here folks is that ego trippin can destroy a great band.
