  • Hi im about to get some eggs of this species but I live in quite an urban area and im finding it hard to find and recognise what kind of leaves they eat so would they be ok on mulberry chow? the food that silkworms eat (related moth species)

  • @CypriotM Privet works best.

  • ARGHHHHH. Pork sasuage. Why you gotta describe it as that? :O

    Juciy~

  • Never mind my old comment, they DID mate and now I've got 18 of them XD

  • Argh! I got 2 females and 1 male and THEY WON'T MATE. It's driving me insane.

  • Beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us. Sadly where I live its impossible to get either privet leaves or atlas moths.

I once did find a hawk moth while pruning some bushes. It stood prefectly still all day and let me take some amazing photos of it.

Come night it sprang to life and flew off.

I never did think to attract these kinds of moths with plants, I might just try it as Id love to see them again. Thanks for the idea!
