i think its 747 because its historical airliner and i say its historical because it had been the first double deck airliner and the 2 planes in the deadliest plane crash is 747 and because it also had been a shuttle carrier
i like how the 747 is old and in its time was the biggest aircraft by far for passenger flight, i like how the 747 has proven itself to be a safe and reliable air craft. I like how the a380 is even bigger and its a new genaration of craft with new technologys but because its a new craft I will allways feel abit more uneasy flying on it than i would on a trusty 747
Folks, I don't know about you, but I personally feel safer in good old 747 with 50 yrs of best safety record in jumbo jets category aviation history.[A380 on the other hand is fad and exciting but cracks began to show up on a numbers of planes lately].
@maryjoemontana I think this competition is rather political. Both aircraft are equally good. In Germany, not even a painter cames in the vicinity of an aircraft without a 3-year training. Apprenticeship is 3 years and takes place at the company and vocational school. To successfully complete the training an apprentice makes an examination before the Chamber of Commerce. He must also provide some self-created masterpiece. Then you are graduated or not...
@maryjoemontana It is true that the engine was developed by the Germans and took the first-use in the ME-262 and AR -234. The Ar-234 was the first operational twin-turbojet bomber in WW2. Civil innovations have their origins in the military. German know how to build airplanes. Boeing, like all U.S. companies benefits of "Operation Paperclip" .
@maryjoemontana The 747 is a long-haul aircraft. Have you ever flown before? I used an Airbus from Dusseldorf and Munich to : Toronto, San Francisco, New York, New Jersey, Boston, Chicago. On domestic flights mostly Boeing from Dusseldorf to Munich and returne. I want to depart and arrive. I have not noticed any passenger refused entry because of a Boeing or an Airbus stood at the gate.
Planes like the 777 or A340 didn't have any fatal accidents yet, so how could the 747, with 54 hull losses and 3765 casualties, have the best safety record in aviation history?
@blablubb12345 Because the amount of time it has been serving. The newer the aircraft doesn't matter. If the new 787 had a full loss, and say the 747 had 30 years since its variants first flight(not treally thirty years) but if the 747 had 30 losses in 30 years, and the 787 had one in the first year they would have they would have the same record (just example not real data).
i remind every1 that airbus dielivert 23 a380 this year and has alots of orders still running, while boeing only dielivert only 2 747(both freithers), and no new orders. so:airbus win with pessanger and boeing with cargo. i dont have a favorite i just follow sale numbers.
@vonchaosb Lets talk about the battles won by the French military. Oh wait: the French have never won a battle. but that is a lovely channel you ot there showing French military power, or should I say lack of it. Don't worry if any country with a couple of slingshts wa ted to invade France the U S would protect you !!
@prohelipilot1 i dunno why airbus fans and boeing fans argue and criticise each other, can't they try more to look at the other side and know more about boeing or airbus?if only they would, then they woudln't need to fight.............
@MrFlightsimRocks I think with alot of them it is not about Airbus or Boeing, it is just about a chance to insult each other.either way every damn one of these aircraft is amazing
Folks this got the most advanced cockpit system, the most fuel efficient, most environmentally friendly, most lightest & yet strongest composite material composed of, most quietest, best cabin air pressure/ air purification system & most comfortable ride for passengers in any plane ever built so far; I'm so very proud of you, Dreamliner!!! [with love from SanFrancisco]
@Muracosa Of course it is the best plane ever, it is more efficient than the A380 and definetely better built and it has a proven record. You will get a couple of clowns like BOACMach2 telling you all kinds of stories about the A380, but in fact nothing tells you will be backed up by Airbus, He is just a fanboy ( an unemployed one ) and he is upset because of the lack of sales for the A380 and its poor performance. Just ignor the idiot, his mother does
According to BOACMach2 the problems that have plagued the A380 the most all start within Brittain, It is NOT Airbus's fault that the Brittish are not supplying quality parts. But while Lucas is doing nothing about their inferior parts one Brittish company ( Rolls Royce ) is. They say they are right on top of the problem and are stealing from Pratt & Whitney in an effort to make their engines more reliable and more efficient
@prohelipilot1 You're an out and out liar man! The guy said nothing of the sort. So he's a fan of Airbus, you're a Boeing fan, right? You have manufactured lies, like you do with you everything else. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, you're dishonest and have no integrity. What a sad, sick man you are when all you can do is fashion a heap of crap just because he, I and others don't put up with your bullshit. You cant win your argument so make up lies instead. Go away you juvenile
@USNemesis You say I manufacture lies? Airbus has yet to agree with any of the comments you and your bullshitting buddies post. Airbus has the A380 sales at 236, Airbus does not even list anything about the A380-900 or A380-1000 on their website. Airbus is not full of shit you are
@fsxfanatic73 Never believe anything BOACMach2 writes, read his dumb comments, laugh and then go to Airbus.com to find the truth. this BOACMach2 idiot has posted over 1350 sales for the A380 and Airbus say the sales stand at 236. This BOACMach2 idiot is a big fan of Airbus but nowhere will you ever find Airbus agreeing with him. Why you ask ? Well it is because BOACMach2 is youtubes biggest bullshitter and Airbus tends to tell the truth
@prohelipilot1 By the way, quote me ANYWHERE where I have said the A380 has 1350 sales. You won't because you can't can you. Yet another lie. Bullshit is your stock in trade so head off and find something useful to do with your life instead of polluting YT 24/7. You're a class 1 idiot. No wonder no one agrees with anything you say, least of all the 18 airlines who have ordered the A380. So they're all wrong having spent $Bs and you're right? This is too funny for words. You should try comedy.
@BOACMach2 Making you look like an idiot is so fucking easy, Go back through ALL your comments and add all the times you said this airline is ordering 25 more and that airline is ordering20 more , Then add them up dipshit. They come to over 1350. But like the bullshitter you are you will denny this even though your comments are still on youtube. We all know 0 A380's were sold at Farnborough, but don't you remember telling everyone that 25 were sold. We remember it
@BOACMach2 And asshole after you buy youtube you can tell me to get off it. Are you still pissed because Airbus said the workmanship at Rolls Royce is shoddy at best. Apparently the world views Brittish workmanship as very low quality that is why India's economy is bomming while yours is in the crapper. In a world that runs on electricity do yu think you guys will ever build quality electrical components? All the skilled trades left Brittain in the 50's and left you fucks there
@BOACMach2 This BULLSHITTERMach2 idiot constantly says the A350 is not been delayed and Jim Leahy ( Director of sales at Airbus ) say 's the plane has been delayed. So who would you believe? An executive from Airbus or an unemployed fanboy who is over 50 and lives with his mother and calls himself BOACMach2
747 or A380?!.... Well the winner is ladies & gentlemen,..............787!!!
R.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N is all in 787!
Folks this is the most advance cockpit system, the most fuel efficient, most environmentally friendly, most lightest & yet strongest composite material composed of, most quietest, best cabin air pressure/ air purification system, and most comfortable ride for passengers in any plane ever built so far; I'm so very proud of you, Boeing Dreamliner!!!
@Moelander1 NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF FLIGHT HAVE THERE BEEN SO MANY BLOWN TIRES ON LANDING OR SO MANY CARGO DOORS OPEN IN FLIGHT AS THERE WERE ON THE DC10. I WAS A BIG FAN OF McDONNELL DOUGLAS, BUT THAT PLANE ULTIMETLY LEAD TO THE DEMISE OF THAT COMPANY
@RossKerr255 No its a failure, it has sold nowhere near enough, and orders are not coming in. instead they are going to Boeing or other Airbus aircraft
@RossKerr255 Your right there is little market for it, it is inefficient and don't believe the crap BOACMach2 posts his mother dosen't even believe him. He keeps telling us about how many A380's are gonna sell at this airshow or that airshow and those sales never happen. He has A380 sales at omewhere around 2,000 while Airbus has A380 sales at 236 posted on their website. We just laugh at the guy, just like his mother does
@RossKerr255 BOAC is right about prohelipilot. The guys not to be trusted. He lives off lies and ignorance. You should look over the various 380 vids to see the crap he comes out with. But if you want independent, non biased opinion, you can read "Leeham News & Comment" dated 7/7/10 and titled "747-8 v A380: Airlines Weigh In" or access the thread: "airliners (dot)net/aviation-forums/tech_ops/read(dot)main/202430" which gives a thorough balanced view of the 2 in terms of efficiency.
@RossKerr255 BoacMach2 and USNemisis are all over youtube spreading false information about the A380, Nowhere on Airbus.com will you find a comment that even comes close to anything these 2 idiots say. If all the sales stories that BOACMach2 were true then they would have sold well over 1350 A380's to date but they haven't . Read BOACMach2's comment ( laugh ) and then go to Airbus.com and get the truth
@RossKerr255 In prohelipilot's mind the aircrafts a failure, much like his limp, lame arguments are. The guy's a Boeing fanboy who specialises in bullshit and lies. All his specific arguments about the A380 being inefficient, overweight, outdated, "a mistake", are his opinions alone & not borne out by facts. When challenged to prove his points by numerous people here, he just tries to divert attention away, resorting to personal insults. He does a poor job of covering up Boeing's inadequacies
@RossKerr255 For instance, a few weeks ago he stated the A380 needed to sell 552 units to break even, a few days ago he revised it to 1000. That's inflation for you, right. The A380 will make a profit, though as Airbus have said before, it'll take 10-12 years and obviously many more sales. This aircraft covers a niche market that was exclusively Boeing so it pisses this guy off that the world's airlines have chosen the A380 over the 747-8I. Look around other A380 sites to view his nonsense.
IMO, the A380 looks like a beluga whale ._. The 747 looks better and looks like it's more aerodynamic. The jets all have their goods and bads, like the 747's cockpit is really high making it hard to see the runway or the A380's engines, their too dangerous. It half failed the engine explosion test. But they also have their goods like, the 747 has really good landing gears (1 can hold the plane's weight) but the A380 can hold more passengers
@prohelipilot1 "I was just informed by BOACMach2 that the dislikes at the bottom right of the video are from the airlines that already got their A380's"
prohelipilot1 18 hours ago
Well what a liar you continue to be! Desperate times call for desperate measures right?...LOL! BTW, do you usually chat to yourself because Willydoit's channel has been closed for months. You most definitely are losing the plot!
@MrWillydoit BOACMach3 can tell all the stories he wants but the A380 is a sales failure and Airbus will mot likely not recoup the money they have invested to build the Titanic of the skies. The A380 will get more publicity in the future as an example " what not to do " meanwhile the A350XWB which is not scheduled to be delivered for yrs yet has already more than double A380 sales. Go on Airbus.com click on Aircraft families they only list A380-800 not A380-900 or A380-1000
Airbus has 236 orders for the A380 and have delivered 54 aircraft as of August 31st 2011 ( And they are all 20 tons over the predicted empty weight Airbus first told customers it would weigh. BOACMach2 and Whiteria have both told us they have sold alot more but hey people will go with what Airbus says. Now that I am involved in this I know they will get mad and either attack me personally or Boeing because I called them on this
@prohelipilot1 I beg to differ. I have never stated the sales figures for the A380 are anything other than what they are ie 236 currently. Given you appear sure I have inflated the sales figures, you'll undoubtedly be able to tell me precisely where I said they had sold more. I'd be really interested. Get mad, not so. I'm always willing to exchange views and opinions with reasonable people. The likes of LottoLoser deserves the ridicule he gets for posting nonsense 99% of the time.
Sorry, but again off the Airbus website the typical A380 is coming in weighing 622,000 lbs empty, which gives it a useful load of 613,000 lbs ( 1,235,000 lbs -622,000 lbs ) Fuel needed to go 8,200 N M is 507,956 lbs. Can you follow this so far? 613,000 minus 597,936 = a 105,064 lb payload. That equals 525 passengers and crew At full fuel and this is with NO cargo. These figures all come straight from Airbus
Nobody in the history of mankind telss more stories thaan this BOACMach2 idiot. Do not believe a single word he says just go to Airbus.com and they will tell you the truth about the aircraft they build and how many have sold. And BOACMach2 I guess the guys that were buying another 20 to 25 A380's at the Paris Air show never showed up, if they did they must have talked directly to you because Airbus knows nothing about this .
@prohelipilot1 You're completely misinformed where this is concerned. At the beginning of the year the CEO of Qatar Airways said he expected to "significantly increase" his order for the A380 at the PAS in June. Due to a dispute with Airbus over the A350-1000 he decided to put the deal "on hold" until the other issues were resolved. HK Airlines were to have signed an order for 10 A380s at the PAS too. However, the Chinese Government put a block on the financing due to a dispute with Europe.
@BOACMach2 I read my information right off of Airbus's website so I am not misinformed. I am pretty sure Airbus knows how many planes they have sold and all this crap you keep posting cannot be found anywhere on Airbus.com so you are basically telling us that long before these airlines order an aircraft they call you and tll you what their intentions are. Dude you are basically just a story teller
@prohelipilot1 No, what I'm saying is that the aviation press get wind of future orders long before any manufacturer will go public over an agreement reached. I would have thought that was obvious! Airbus's site, like Boeing's, will only report on MOU's, commitments and firm orders. It would be pretty stupid for either to publicly report negociations for a purchase of aircraft as that would only alert opposition manufacturers of a potential order. You do understand that, right?
@prohelipilot1 A recent order by AF/KLM for 25 787's & 25 A350's is an example of this. AF/KLM have clearly been in discussions with Boeing and Airbus privately for several months for a fleet renewal. This has been widely reported in the aviation press and was the subject of some controversy. Clearly, it would not be in the business interests of Boeing/Airbus to post details of these discussions as it would only serve to alert the other manufacturer that AF/KLM were looking to buy. Got it now?
@BOACMach2 You are full of shit and you love to babble, talking about buying an aircraft and buying one are 2 different things and the manufacturers ( like the rest of us ) call it sold when it is sold and you call it sold everytime someone walks by and looks at it. That is why you always talk shit while Airbus tells it like it is
@BOACMach2 You should go to FRANCE-MULHOUSE-AirbusA320 Crash during auto landing and explain what happened to these 2 idiots jay18jay and YTSMalumni2010 .....
@prohelipilot1 I suggest you cut the personal insults by the way. It does you a disservice and puts you alongside LottoLoser as an ignoramus. In his case, he's managed to go way beyond that and is now someone who has become a figure of fun across YT with his numerous lies and brainless rants. It's no wonder people get a tad annoyed when he spends all his time vilifying Airbus indiscriminately. But I'm sure you don't want to be viewed that way, right?
Just came off Airbus.com ( their website ) they state that as of the end of August 2011 there are 236 orders for the A380 and 54 deliveries. So BOACMach2, USNemisis and Dartygyn are all full of shit. Airbus is not going to deflate the sales figures you idiots. Airbus says it needs to sell 552 A380s to break even and more to turn a profit on the aircraft and that figure increases as existing aircraft develope more problems
@DEVASTATOR478 If the A380 is supposed to fail and require Airbus to get a third Government handout from 5 European countries then it is the best. But if was supposed to perform good and sell good then it is a failure my friend
@prohelipilot1 my favorites aircraft are : GALAXY C-5,ANTONOV AN-124, AIRBUS A-380,and of course BOEING 747 .......and B1,B2,SR-71,B-52,CONCORDE,F117,X15,xb-70.
the 747-8 is the whole package its taller and longer than the a 380 its is faster and it has a greater range , its 16% more efficient and its 18% more efficient per seat and has biofuel capabilities , its the aviation pinicle of safety handling and beauty and its the most iconic airliner ever , its less expensive to operate , its quieter , its sexier , its the queen of the skies , stop trying to sell all this bullshit about how the a380 is better
@Thekingswa747 The thing is, the A380 is better. Where capacity is concerned, the A380 clearly wins, carrying significantly more passengers per flight. This translates into superior CASM figures which are the real means of comparing efficiency. The net result is that the A380 burns less fuel /passenger km travelled (source Leeham News & Comment & Aspire Aviation dated 8/15/11) At 15,400kms, the A380s range exceeds the 747-8I. The A380 is the quieter of the 2 aircraft & more flexible internally..
@BOACMach2 Since the RR Trent Exploding Engines and the fact that you cannot land at regular airports and the European Economy means that you can't fill your gas guzling A380. Whill airlines with Boeing 777 can fly longer distance with better fuel economy means the Boeing 777 is killing your A340 in sales. Also new fuel efficients B-747-8I has FAA aproval. Hey fag how come AB lost 600 sales to Boeing? Airbus is down in fiery crash led by the A380-WE(White Elephant).
@Thekingswa747 ..Boeing is the "prettier" aircraft for sure but airlines buy function and efficiency and passengers care little for the looks of any aircraft when they're flying INSIDE at 40,000ft. The real litmus test is in sales and on that front, the A380 has 236 orders to the 747-8 Intercontinental's 34. Given that Boeing was the established leader in the field for 40years, Airbus's accomplishment is no mean feat. The 747 was undoubtedly the best but it has been superceded, plain & simple
A380 is the new Mega Commercial Carrier of the day, she left ALL VERSIONS OF THE B747 back in the "History Books" yes, like the Super Connie, something from the past!
Boeing position themselves as the ONLY "commercial aviation manufacturer" in the USA, last time If I remember correctly that's call MONOPOLY, very ANTI-AMERICAN, that's a key factor on US carriers loosing edge on global competition, WE HAVE TO BUY "BOEING" SUBSTANDARD TECHNOLOGY THE REST DOESN'T!
@TWTR4EVER The sales figures speak for themselves. The geriatric framed 747-8I has 30 orders from only 3 airlines (excluding Boeing VIP), the A380 has 234 confirmed orders from 18 airlines with a further 20-25 to be confirmed at the Paris Air Show. Boeing made the mistake of outsourcing so much of the 7late7 that airlines are now claiming compensation of up to $5B. Air India, are likely to defer delivery of their 787s, unprecedented for a launch customer. Then there's trouble with the NLRB etc.
@ricsikecske Well I can't see where these sales will be coming from (for the 748I that is) Boeing marketed this aircraft as a replacement for those airlines with 400series fleets. Barring Lufthansa, who also operate the A380, no airline seems to want it. BA has defected to Airbus, JAL are almost broke and are cutting back on their services, AF/KLM are likely to opt for 777ERs (as well as A380s) I'm surprised no American airline wants it either, hardly an endorsement for your country's product?
@ricsikecske The A380 is getting good reviews from passengers worldwide and barring the incident with QF32, there have been no major issues. Lufthansa, Emirates, Singapore Airlines in particular are very happy with its efficiency and Korean Air are the latest to add their endorsement. It's important Boeing sells a more 748Is for competition is key to better and better aircraft and passenger service, right? As we all know, no one's worried about what the aircraft looks like. Efficiency matters!
@BOACMach2 Copa Airlines & Boeing today announced order for 32 Next-Generation 737-800s, including 10 options, at a signing ceremony at the U.S. DOC in Washington, D.C. Valued at approximately $2.6 billion at Boeing list prices, the order is the largest new aircraft order in Copa Airlines' history. This represents largest commercial transactions ever between private sector companies in the United States and Republic of Panama.
@BOACMach2 You pick on people for getting the dates wrong on the Airbus problems, but yet you try to denny the problems all together, You even argue with Airbus on the aircraft that they make
Bloomberg Sep 6th 2011 AIRBUS HEADS FOR RECORD YEAR OUTSELLING BOEING AS ORDERS RISE WITH A320 NEO
@LottoWinner999 "Airbus SAS has won 1,156 orders so far this year, outselling rival Boeing Co. (BA) and putting the planemaker on track to capture its highest annual intake following the introduction of the A320neo. The company pulled in a net 1,015 orders after cancellations during the first eight months. That includes 918 neos"
@LottoWinner999 "Since introducing the re-engined A320 in December, Airbus has won more than 1,200 commitments for the plane. If the company secures firm orders for the outstanding 300 commitments, it will approach the 2007 record of 1,458 orders."
"Boeing so far this year has won 472 gross orders through Aug. 30, and 370 net orders, according to information on the Chicago-based company’s website."
So much for Boeing selling more than Airbus this year...LOL! Numpty!
@LottoWinner999 COPA figured if the bought the Airbus they would have to put " slow moving vehicle ' signs on the back of the planes since Airbus planes cruise much slower than those of Boeing, Canadair, Ilushyn and Tupolev
@BOACMach2 Hey Faggot, KUALA LUMPUR: Boeing launched new engine variant of the market-leading 737,the 737 MAX, launched on Aug 30 with an order commitments of 496 airplanes from five airlines. The new family of aircraft, which were 737 MAX 7, 737 MAX 8 and 737 MAX 9, builds on strength of Next-Generation 737.
Yes all the Faggots at Touluse are crying like girls as Boeing scoops 600 orders including 100 from Delta. A320peon is doomed by 737-MAX!
@BOACMach2 You are right sales figures do speak for themselves. And that puts Boeing in the lead by over 100 aircraft in 2011. But with the amount of bullshit you spread I am surprised you aren't out on the farm making the lettuce grow. While the rest of us listen to Airbus on the amount of orders they have you come up with astronomical numbers that nobody believes. I guess you have been bullshitting long enough that you actually believe your own stories
@blablubb12345 What you have published is Boeings 2011 sales and and all the sales and backlog of Airbus you are talking about orders for 8 months for boeing and talking about planes sold 7 yrs ago by Airbus. I like your attempt at bullshitting people though. On the Boeing website they have the 2011 orders posted and on the Airbus site they have all orders and all delivered since the inception of the company
No, both numbers are 2011 sales only! I'm certainly not bullshitting anyone, but you seem to be unable to read basic numbers. Total orders for airbus would be 11075 with 6842 delivered planes by now.
@BOACMach2 With fewer seats and planes not full, journeys on the A380 will actually produce more carbon dioxide (per passenger, per km) than Ryanair or EasyJet flights, which fly fuller. When operating at 80 per cent capacity, a Singapore Airlines A380 will produce about 101g of CO2 emissions. Emirates and Qantas A380s will produce 106g and 109g respectively in their smaller configurations. This compares with an average of 97.5g for EasyJet and 98.6g for Ryanair
@BOACMach2 Airbus admits to all the problems and complaints with the A380, they also admit it is their most problem plagued aircraft to date. And selling less than half the aircraft they need to sell to break even is hurting them as is paying airlines for the delay in deliveries of the aircraft. The 54 A380's delivered to date are proving to be nowhere near as efficient as Airbus first advertised the would be and are putting out a carbon footprint 28% more emisions than predicted
@BOACMach2 Paris airshow has come and gone and there were no orders for the A380, however 747-8 orders are increasing almost daily. And Airbus is also paying for delays in the A380 and A350
@prohelipilot1 As said elsewhere, Skymark increased its orders for the A380 from 4 to 6 @ the PAS. Lufthansa have since converted 2 options to firm orders. You would know that if you followed the press. Saying the 747-8 is gaining sales almost daily is another piece of wishful thinking. Atlas Air cancelled 3 of the 12 747-8F they had on order, as the GE engines failed to meet contractual obligations, again widely reported. Arik Air has ordered 2 748Is. So where are all the "other" orders?
@BOACMach2 Paris airshow has come and gone and there were no orders for the A380, however 747-8 orders are increasing almost daily. And Airbus is also paying for delays in the A380 and A350, Both manufacturers are paying for delays
@prohelipilot1 As for the A350, given the EIS date is 2013 at the earliest, how exactly does that make the aircraft "delayed"? As usual, you're full of crap. Come back when you know something about the workings and business of aviation. Right now, you're becoming the heir apparent to LottoLoser in terms of idiocy.
@BOACMach2 here is your Airbus link : .airbus.com/company/market/orders-deliveries/ There Airbus will tell you what they have sold and what they have delivered. Orders for A380 still stand at a dismal 236 with deliveries now being bumped up to 57 Aircraft delivered
@BOACMach2 Dude are you living in the same world as the rest of us? I nver said anything about delays, but since you asked. there will be no deliveries of the A350 in 2013, Airbus does not call it a delay, they call it an upgrade to make sure they can deliver the best aircraft they can, and I agree with them. It has already gone through a new wing design to be more efficient. Have you ever even been on Airbus's website?
@prohelipilot1 "Dude are you living in the same world as the rest of us? I nver said anything about delays"
Right, so you suffer from short term memory loss too do you. You said this recently: "Paris airshow has come and gone and there were no orders for the A380, however 747-8 orders are increasing almost daily. And Airbus is also paying for DELAYS in the A380 and A350, Both manufacturers are paying for delays"
And which airlines are ordering the 747-8 "almost daily"? Youve lost the plot!
@prohelipilot1 So I ask you again. How does the fact that the A350 EIS date of 2013/14 make it "dalayed" at this point? By the way, I don't expect you to answer this, just avoid it as you always do. Now go away Fool! Better still, get a job instead of playing the Fool.
@BOACMach2 Look you are real stupid so again go to Airbus.com click on A350XWB and click on bulletins . Get someone to help you get to the site because I can't explain it any clearer. The Airbus spokesman explains the new delicvery dates because Airbus is making improvements in the plane. Grab the neighbours kid, give him a quarter to help you ( you can get the quarter from your mom ) and see if the kid will even help you read it
They are talking about the A350-1000 wich in fact will be delayed to 2017. Airlines asked for a higher takeoff weight requiring RR to develop a higher thrust version ot their Trent XWB engine. The -900 base variant is scheduled for an EIS late 2013, make that 2014 if you want.
@blablubb12345 I do not hav a problem with Airbus or their planes I do however have a problem with people like this BOACMach2 guy who lives to tell lies and lives to insult people. And I have challenged him on his points before and he has never proven any of his points instead he turns to more lies and insults. I like discussing things with people like yourself and cheesmaker1000. People who can make valid points and do not need to turn to insults
@blablubb12345 Have you seen the banner hanging on the wall at the rols Royce engine plant. It says if you cant beat em, copy them, And then it has a cutaway picture of a Prat and Whitney engine below it, for the Rolls Royce guys to see how its done
Always Airbus VS Boeing. Get over it ladies...

i like how the 747 is old and in its time was the biggest aircraft by far for passenger flight, i like how the 747 has proven itself to be a safe and reliable air craft.

@maryjoemontana Yesterday, parts of the Dreamliner are dropped from the Fuselage.
ad220588 2 weeks ago
@maryjoemontana It is true that the engine was developed by the Germans and took the first-use in the ME-262 and AR -234. The Ar-234 was the first operational twin-turbojet bomber in WW2. Civil innovations have their origins in the military. German know how to build airplanes. Boeing, like all U.S. companies benefits of "Operation Paperclip" .
ad220588 2 weeks ago
@maryjoemontana The 747 is a long-haul aircraft. Have you ever flown before? I used an Airbus from Dusseldorf and Munich to : Toronto, San Francisco, New York, New Jersey, Boston, Chicago. On domestic flights mostly Boeing from Dusseldorf to Munich and returne. I want to depart and arrive. I have not noticed any passenger refused entry because of a Boeing or an Airbus stood at the gate.

@JaneSanFrancisco
Planes like the 777 or A340 didn't have any fatal accidents yet, so how could the 747, with 54 hull losses and 3765 casualties, have the best safety record in aviation history?
blablubb12345 1 month ago
@blablubb12345 Because the amount of time it has been serving. The newer the aircraft doesn't matter. If the new 787 had a full loss, and say the 747 had 30 years since its variants first flight(not treally thirty years) but if the 747 had 30 losses in 30 years, and the 787 had one in the first year they would have they would have the same record (just example not real data).

@Muracosa Of course it is the best plane ever, it is more efficient than the A380 and definetely better built and it has a proven record. prohelipilot1 3 months ago

This BOACMach2 idiot is a big fan of Airbus but nowhere will you ever find Airbus agreeing with him. Why you ask ? You should try comedy.
BOACMach2 3 months ago
@BOACMach2 Making you look like an idiot is so fucking easy, Go back through ALL your comments and add all the times you said this airline is ordering 25 more and that airline is ordering20 more , Then add them up dipshit. prohelipilot1 3 months ago

prohelipilot1 3 months ago
@RossKerr255 In prohelipilot's mind the aircrafts a failure, much like his limp, lame arguments are. The guy's a Boeing fanboy who specialises in bullshit and lies. All his specific arguments about the A380 being inefficient, overweight, outdated, "a mistake", are his opinions alone & not borne out by facts. When challenged to prove his points by numerous people here, he just tries to divert attention away, resorting to personal insults. He does a poor job of covering up Boeing's inadequacies
BOACMach2 3 months ago
@RossKerr255 For instance, a few weeks ago he stated the A380 needed to sell 552 units to break even, a few days ago he revised it to 1000. That's inflation for you, right. The A380 will make a profit, though as Airbus have said before, it'll take 10-12 years and obviously many more sales. This aircraft covers a niche market that was exclusively Boeing so it pisses this guy off that the world's airlines have chosen the A380 over the 747-8I. Look around other A380 sites to view his nonsense.
BOACMach2 3 months ago
IMO, the A380 looks like a beluga whale ._. The 747 looks better and looks like it's more aerodynamic. The jets all have their goods and bads, like the 747's cockpit is really high making it hard to see the runway or the A380's engines, their too dangerous. It half failed the engine explosion test. But they also have their goods like, the 747 has really good landing gears (1 can hold the plane's weight) but the A380 can hold more passengers

Now that I am involved in this I know they will get mad and either attack me personally or Boeing because I called them on this
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 I beg to differ. I have never stated the sales figures for the A380 are anything other than what they are ie 236 currently. Given you appear sure I have inflated the sales figures, you'll undoubtedly be able to tell me precisely where I said they had sold more. I'd be really interested. Get mad, not so. I'm always willing to exchange views and opinions with reasonable people. The likes of LottoLoser deserves the ridicule he gets for posting nonsense 99% of the time.
BOACMach2 5 months ago
Sorry, but again off the Airbus website the typical A380 is coming in weighing 622,000 lbs empty, which gives it a useful load of 613,000 lbs ( 1,235,000 lbs -622,000 lbs ) Fuel needed to go 8,200 N M is 507,956 lbs. Can you follow this so far? 613,000 minus 597,936 = a 105,064 lb payload. That equals 525 passengers and crew At full fuel and this is with NO cargo. These figures all come straight from Airbus
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
Nobody in the history of mankind telss more stories thaan this BOACMach2 idiot. Do not believe a single word he says just go to Airbus.com and they will tell you the truth about the aircraft they build and how many have sold. prohelipilot1 5 months ago
BOACMach2 5 months ago
@BOACMach2 I read my information right off of Airbus's website so I am not misinformed. I am pretty sure Airbus knows how many planes they have sold and all this crap you keep posting cannot be found anywhere on Airbus.com so you are basically telling us that long before these airlines order an aircraft they call you and tll you what their intentions are. Dude you are basically just a story teller

BOACMach2 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 No, what I'm saying is that the aviation press get wind of future orders long before any manufacturer will go public over an agreement reached. I would have thought that was obvious! Airbus's site, like Boeing's, will only report on MOU's, commitments and firm orders. It would be pretty stupid for either to publicly report negociations for a purchase of aircraft as that would only alert opposition manufacturers of a potential order. You do understand that, right?
BOACMach2 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 A recent order by AF/KLM for 25 787's & 25 A350's is an example of this. AF/KLM have clearly been in discussions with Boeing and Airbus privately for several months for a fleet renewal. This has been widely reported in the aviation press and was the subject of some controversy. Clearly, it would not be in the business interests of Boeing/Airbus to post details of these discussions as it would only serve to alert the other manufacturer that AF/KLM were looking to buy. Got it now?
BOACMach2 5 months ago
@BOACMach2 You are full of shit and you love to babble, talking about buying an aircraft and buying one are 2 different things and the manufacturers ( like the rest of us ) call it sold when it is sold and you call it sold everytime someone walks by and looks at it. the 747-8 is the whole package its taller and longer than the a 380 its is faster and it has a greater range , its 16% more efficient and its 18% more efficient per seat and has biofuel capabilities , its the aviation pinicle of safety handling and beauty and its the most iconic airliner ever , its less expensive to operate , its quieter , its sexier , its the queen of the skies , stop trying to sell all this bullshit about how the a380 is better
Thekingswa747 5 months ago
@Thekingswa747 The thing is, the A380 is better. Where capacity is concerned, the A380 clearly wins, carrying significantly more passengers per flight. This translates into superior CASM figures which are the real means of comparing efficiency. The net result is that the A380 burns less fuel /passenger km travelled (source Leeham News & Comment & Aspire Aviation dated 8/15/11) At 15,400kms, the A380s range exceeds the 747-8I. The A380 is the quieter of the 2 aircraft & more flexible internally..

AIRBUS READY TO CANCEL A380!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@Thekingswa747 ..Boeing is the "prettier" aircraft for sure but airlines buy function and efficiency and passengers care little for the looks of any aircraft when they're flying INSIDE at 40,000ft. The real litmus test is in sales and on that front, the A380 has 236 orders to the 747-8 Intercontinental's 34. Given that Boeing was the established leader in the field for 40years, Airbus's accomplishment is no mean feat. The 747 was undoubtedly the best but it has been superceded, plain & simple

@MrWillydoit FYI-
A380 is the new Mega Commercial Carrier of the day, she left ALL VERSIONS OF THE B747 back in the "History Books" yes, like the Super Connie, something from the past!

BOACMach2 8 months ago 8
@BOACMach2 Oh don't worry, 747-8I will recieve more orders. A3late-e the ugly truth! xD
ricsikecske 6 months ago
@ricsikecske Well I can't see where these sales will be coming from (for the 748I that is) Boeing marketed this aircraft as a replacement for those airlines with 400series fleets. Barring Lufthansa, who also operate the A380, no airline seems to want it. BA has defected to Airbus, JAL are almost broke and are cutting back on their services, AF/KLM are likely to opt for 777ERs (as well as A380s) I'm surprised no American airline wants it either, hardly an endorsement for your country's product?
BOACMach2 6 months ago
@ricsikecske The A380 is getting good reviews from passengers worldwide and barring the incident with QF32, there have been no major issues. Lufthansa, Emirates, Singapore Airlines in particular are very happy with its efficiency and Korean Air are the latest to add their endorsement. It's important Boeing sells a more 748Is for competition is key to better and better aircraft and passenger service, right? As we all know, no one's worried about what the aircraft looks like. Efficiency matters!

AIRBUS LOSES SALES TO NEW BOEING 737-MAX
@BOACMach2 Copa Airlines & Boeing today announced order for 32 Next-Generation 737-800s, including 10 options, at a signing ceremony at the U.S. DOC in Washington, D.C. Valued at approximately $2.6 billion at Boeing list prices, the order is the largest new aircraft order in Copa Airlines' history. This represents largest commercial transactions ever between private sector companies in the United States and Republic of Panama.

Airbus Sales 2011 (@ 31st August)
Bloomberg Sep 6th 2011 AIRBUS HEADS FOR RECORD YEAR OUTSELLING BOEING AS ORDERS RISE WITH A320 NEO
@LottoWinner999 "Airbus SAS has won 1,156 orders so far this year, outselling rival Boeing Co. (BA) and putting the planemaker on track to capture its highest annual intake following the introduction of the A320neo. The company pulled in a net 1,015 orders after cancellations during the first eight months. That includes 918 neos"
BOACMach2 5 months ago
@LottoWinner999 "Since introducing the re-engined A320 in December, Airbus has won more than 1,200 commitments for the plane. If the company secures firm orders for the outstanding 300 commitments, it will approach the 2007 record of 1,458 orders."
"Boeing so far this year has won 472 gross orders through Aug. 30, and 370 net orders, according to information on the Chicago-based company’s website."
So much for Boeing selling more than Airbus this year...LOL! Numpty!
BOACMach2 5 months ago
@LottoWinner999 COPA figured if the bought the Airbus they would have to put " slow moving vehicle ' signs on the back of the planes since Airbus planes cruise much slower than those of Boeing, Canadair, Ilushyn and Tupolev

BOEING 737-MAX HAS AIRBUS BY ITS LITTLE BALLS
@BOACMach2 Hey Faggot, KUALA LUMPUR: Boeing launched new engine variant of the market-leading 737,the 737 MAX, launched on Aug 30 with an order commitments of 496 airplanes from five airlines. The new family of aircraft, which were 737 MAX 7, 737 MAX 8 and 737 MAX 9, builds on strength of Next-Generation 737.
Yes all the Faggots at Touluse are crying like girls as Boeing scoops 600 orders including 100 from Delta. A320peon is doomed by 737-MAX!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@BOACMach2 You are right sales figures do speak for themselves. And that puts Boeing in the lead by over 100 aircraft in 2011. But with the amount of bullshit you spread I am surprised you aren't out on the farm making the lettuce grow. While the rest of us listen to Airbus on the amount of orders they have you come up with astronomical numbers that nobody believes. I guess you have been bullshitting long enough that you actually believe your own stories
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1
Net sales by the end of August 2011 are:
374 for Boeing
1015 for Airbus
That's hardly "in the lead by over 100 aircraft"!
blablubb12345 5 months ago
@blablubb12345 What you have published is Boeings 2011 sales and and all the sales and backlog of Airbus you are talking about orders for 8 months for boeing and talking about planes sold 7 yrs ago by Airbus. I like your attempt at bullshitting people though. On the Boeing website they have the 2011 orders posted and on the Airbus site they have all orders and all delivered since the inception of the company
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1
No, both numbers are 2011 sales only! I'm certainly not bullshitting anyone, but you seem to be unable to read basic numbers. Total orders for airbus would be 11075 with 6842 delivered planes by now.
blablubb12345 5 months ago

The 54 A380's delivered to date are proving to be nowhere near as efficient as Airbus first advertised the would be and are putting out a carbon footprint 28% more emisions than predicted
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@BOACMach2 Paris airshow has come and gone and there were no orders for the A380, however 747-8 orders are increasing almost daily. And Airbus is also paying for delays in the A380 and A350
prohelipilot1 4 months ago

And Airbus is also paying for delays in the A380 and A350, Both manufacturers are paying for delays
prohelipilot1 4 months ago
@prohelipilot1 As for the A350, given the EIS date is 2013 at the earliest, how exactly does that make the aircraft "delayed"? As usual, you're full of crap. Come back when you know something about the workings and business of aviation. Right now, you're becoming the heir apparent to LottoLoser in terms of idiocy.

@BOACMach2 here is your Airbus link : .airbus.com/company/market/orders-deliveries/ There Airbus will tell you what they have sold and what they have delivered. Orders for A380 still stand at a dismal 236 with deliveries now being bumped up to 57 Aircraft delivered
prohelipilot1 4 months ago
@BOACMach2 Dude are you living in the same world as the rest of us? I nver said anything about delays, but since you asked. there will be no deliveries of the A350 in 2013, Airbus does not call it a delay, they call it an upgrade to make sure they can deliver the best aircraft they can, and I agree with them. It has already gone through a new wing design to be more efficient. Have you ever even been on Airbus's website?
prohelipilot1 4 months ago
@prohelipilot1 "Dude are you living in the same world as the rest of us? I nver said anything about delays"
Right, so you suffer from short term memory loss too do you. You said this recently: "Paris airshow has come and gone and there were no orders for the A380, however 747-8 orders are increasing almost daily. And Airbus is also paying for DELAYS in the A380 and A350, Both manufacturers are paying for delays"
And which airlines are ordering the 747-8 "almost daily"? Youve lost the plot!
BOACMach2 4 months ago
@prohelipilot1 So I ask you again. How does the fact that the A350 EIS date of 2013/14 make it "dalayed" at this point? By the way, I don't expect you to answer this, just avoid it as you always do. Now go away Fool! Better still, get a job instead of playing the Fool.
BOACMach2 4 months ago
@BOACMach2 Look you are real stupid so again go to Airbus.com click on A350XWB and click on bulletins . Get someone to help you get to the site because I can't explain it any clearer. The Airbus spokesman explains the new delicvery dates because Airbus is making improvements in the plane. Grab the neighbours kid, give him a quarter to help you ( you can get the quarter from your mom ) and see if the kid will even help you read it
prohelipilot1 4 months ago
@prohelipilot1
