  • Eddie is a legend, he robbed people who rob this country everyday by taxing us to death, and the Wall St Sharks got scammed!! hahahahahahahahaha EDDIE LIVES FOREVER

  • Crazy Eddie was great ! ! !

Makes me glad to be Sephardi myself.

    Hahaha ! ! !

  • I worked for one of the court reporting companies that transcribed some of the stockholders' class action suit depositions...fascinating but disturbing shit...I think I used to buy records at the Coney Island Avenue store way back in the day...did buy a stereo from them even earlier...but this was all way before the major league scam (sticking me with inferior speakers was minor league)...wish I'd have known about the CNBC special...cool to be reminded, though....thank you

  • Eddie and Sam are cousins, not brothers, you fuckin' asshole!

  • In '79 I bought (what was then) a state of the art boom box from Crazy Eddie and really did get a heck of a good price. The unit (a Panasonic, I think) lasted for years and had great sound.

  • Wow... Crazy Eddie's brother is an asshole.

  • @apologiate07 That was short but very funny. lol

  • So where's the full video?

  • I know a guy who served time with Eddie Antar. He says Antar had a serious cocaine problem before he went to jail.

Crazy Eddie's started out with a great business plan; they ignored the "accepted norms" of electronics and charged less than their competitors, stayed open on national holidays, gave holiday discounts, etc.

  • Did he plead insanity?

I'm the first one to think of that gag, right?

  • The real Eddie was anything but insane. It wasn't until the scandal occurred when most people found out that Jerry Carroll was just a spokesman for the company, and not actually the owner. Eddie Antar is such a shifty-looking weasel, he was pretty shrewd not to appear in the commercials himself.

  • @logik316 He's a shifty looking weasel because he IS a shift weasel. Haha. Smart little fucker.

  • Wow! Insane!

  • A.K.A. The Sephardic Jewish "Goodfellas". All the dollar stores are owned and operated by the Sephardic Mafia. Eddie Antar just went up against the Ashkenazim and made them hurt, so the Ashkenazi had Eddie Antar charged and arrested. The Sephardim, especially in Brooklyn, give the Ashkenazim hell (even though it's been going on for hundreds of years between the two.

  • Where can I get the full video of Eddie Antar and Sam E. Antar together in the internet?

  • Yeah really I wanna see the interview!!! I bet there was some hostility there LOL

I remember Crazy Eddies...those commercials of him going apeshit will always be a part of my childhood =D

  • What happened to Jerry Carrol after Crazy Eddie went bust?

  • Jerry Carrol has recently been doing the voice in the TV commercials for the Diamond Factory Outlet company. Jerry's toned it down and doesn't act crazy anymore, but he's still going strong today. They probably don't display his face, though, because he's been forever typecast as the Crazy Eddie guy.

  • crazy eddies was sooo coool. their comercials r kool, so 80's style. It was awsome then. I stil have my crazy eddie t shirt from then. glad i didnt get rid of it

  • LOL. Actually, this is more like the Clinton Administration. The Clinton Admin. was the most corrupt Presidency in the history of the U.S.

  • In the HISTORY of the US?

Wow, you've clearly done your homework, haven't you? You must read a lot. /sarcasm

What kind of corruption are we talkin about? The major lady issues like lewinsky, or are we talkin about little things like personal relationships with oil companies and starting wars, war crimes, wiretapping, torture, lying to the public, and possible war profiteering?

  • Holy cow..this is INSANE!!!!

  • when is or was the actual show where they met for the first time in 7 years b/c thats actually my friends uncle (the antars)

  • this video is useless....nothing but a promo

  • Well, heck, in '79 I a bought a boom box from these guys and it really was the best price around. I forget the brand name but it was top of the line and had great sound.

    Bummer about what happened.

  • These guys were doing a world-class ballet with the books since the late 1960's. They would report only half the income, and stash away the untaxed cash. Then they would re-invest that untaxed cash into the store. That's how they got the financing to open more stores than their competitors. Without any loans from banks, they appeared more profitable. Then they started reporting their income, so it looked like profits were rising.

When they went public, it looked like they were doing really well.

  • The Crooks are in bed with more than this:

Find out more at Deep Capture.

    Rotten investigators. Paid Off?

  • his cousin was a fucking rat.anyway 7 yrs for millions?shit, beats the hell out of 7rs at minimum wage by a long, long, long, long shot.deal me in.

  • Bunch O Rats

  • Whadya think ol' Eddie's doin with himself now?

  • Would that show be available anywhere? I'd love to see what these two had to say to each other.

  • The Wiz use to claim "Nobody beats the Wiz" They should have said "everyone takes a Wiz" and Crazy Eddie "took a crap!"

  • Does anyone have the whole vid of this?

  • genious

  • I worked for the Crazy Eddie Record and Tape Asylum in Union, NJ, and was fired on a trumped-up charge two days before my benefits were to go into effect (Since I was fired, I couldn't collect unemployment). After hours, the video department crew made bootleg copies of porn videos on the display VCR's, which they sold at a local flea market. When the chain closed, I celebrated. When Eddie Antar was busted, I partied.

  • Porn videos weren't the only thing they were selling at flea markets. They would report goods stolen, collect the insurance, then sell the goods at the flea markets, and claim it was "used merchandise" to avoid taxes.

  • Selling "stolen" merchandise at flea markets doesn't surprise me. I remember the final days when the chain folded. People came expecting discounted items of brand name stuff. Instead all they found were off-brand crap ("Sankyo", "Panaphonic") and re-manufactured items without warranty. Everything was final sale. That was when I began to wonder when someone was going to prison.

  • when i lived in new york.i remember crazy eddie and the wiz..is the wiz still operating?

  • The Wiz is long gone, hon..loooong goooone...!

  • Reportedly the Antar family (Eddie and Sammy ran "Crazy Eddie") and the Jemal family (Lawrence Jemal founded "The Wiz") have a long-standing rivalry that goes back several generations.

  • The Wiz closed in 2002-2003 or so

  • Can someone upload the whole show? I'm interested to hear what Eddie has to say about the whole thing.

  • Well, when I was buying my T Vs and Hi-Fi equipment from his Coney Island Avenue store in Brooklyn, I got good sevice, if anything broke, they'd send someone to fix it. But then again, this is at a consumer level

  • And everybody in Brooklyn thought Crazy Eddie was on the up and up.

  • hahahahahahaahahahahaahaha when i was 8 i knew he was a crook

  • Sam E. Is a pathetic rat!!
