i used to have that phone...'used' to becuase that phone broke SO many times and the top fell off the bottom peice all the time...the verizon store is on a first name basis with me becuase of that god awful phone...blah, not to mention the shitty charger it comes with that breaks as many times as the phone, but hey maybe you've had better luck with it

this phone sucks, lagging voicemail/txt notifications, dodgy button response times, the touch buttons like to go off on thier own, and the battery starts losing endurance after 3-5 charges.

I really don't think so. Mostly because it has glitches in it (at least when I had it), and it's pretty fragile, so it can break any day. But that's up to you, if you think your experience may be different from mine. And mine was horrible.

no not right after you record it but after you record it as a sound send it to yourself in a text message and then save it as a ringtone. Hope I helped

just get a memory card

make a folder called my_ringtones on it

then put any song in the folder

then on your phone press move to phone

then you can put it as your ringtone

hmm its all personal opinion, theyre both good phones ive had a clamshell flip phone the voyager and wanted to get the slider for something different, and ive been liking sliding better, i think the enV touch has plenty of more features and is a better phone in general but i dont think the battery life is that pleasable, so it depends on if you want long battery life or shorter

you can only use it for certain things. its a touch for dialing, softkeys, and when they keyboard is out, you can use it for pressing "ok"

I will never buy another Motorola phone EVER !! always have issues,example the stupid charger connector design that is so small and fragile that fails in the phone requiring a phone replacement. I've owned many Motorola designs and will never again,my opinion.

its actually not touch screen it is touch sensitive but only with the dial pad and soft keys to u wont have to dial from the qwerty keypad

True, sliding is better. I really like the Sidekick style phone.

But think of the flip as a positive, one screen is primarily for touch screen activities, while the other is for texting.

^^ I have the same problem as you - Verizon kinda sucks. At the moment I have the LG Chocolate 2 which is really a pain for texting. I would really like something with a touch screen AND a qwerty keyboard - like the EnV touch, but I'm not sure I would like the clamshell as opposed to simply sliding.. plus I want something pocketable. If only the Samsung Glyde wasn't such a failure...
