But the thing is.. learning a technique and executing it on pads really well doesn't mean you will use it well in real fighting unless you've sparred with an uncooperative opponent..

Fighting isn't just about HOW to do a technique.. But WHEN to do it. Pads and bags can show you HOW to do it. but you only get that sense of WHEN to do it by sparring and fighting.
