@Mopar4life1995 :You're not the first viewer to say this, and you're right. Today's jelly bean cars all look alike and it is sad. Come on Detroit, come on Tokyo, come on Seoul. Get with it. Be imaginative for crying out loud. This is one reason I bought a Chrysler 300, it doesn't look like anything anyone else created. Thanks very much for your comment. I totally agree.
@johnatv1995 I have come across a lot of car people who wish they still had a car or truck that they once owned. Me included. Perhaps you can purchase another Edsel and that would help minimize your loss. You might find one that is in excellent condition. Thanks for enjoying this beautiful blue Edsel.
@FabioMcHenry I think more people apprecite Edsels these days. Certainly a nice car. But I think the bizarre front end and the recession in 58 killed sales. Thanks for enjoying this Edsel.
I have always wondered why some people refer to this car as a "Ford Edsel". It's an EDSEL, period. You don't say "Ford Mercury" or "Ford Lincoln", do you?
@russieross It must be from where you're from.........I've have never heard Ford Edsel in these parts. But, you have a point. Ford Mercury, Ford Lincoln ?? Thats kinda silly, isn't it? Thanks for viewing this Edsel.
@NP535overdrive I have a theory.........you love underdogs. I like Edsels also especially the '59. Thanks for viewing, liking, and commenting, you Edsel lover you!
bad66, this is not my car. I just recorded it. However, months ago someone asked what color blue paint was used and when I saw the owner of this Edsel sometime later, I found out the color and e-mailed the answer to the commentor. If and when I see this owner again I will ask on your behalf and let you know.
@55lincoln - I asked about the paint color awhile back...thanks for getting back to me man....this is the EXACT color I plan on painting my 56 buick special.....I also have a 58 ranger I was thinking about painting this color blue ....... it was Electric Blue right?
Edsels(all three years) did offer seatbelts. Not very popular since saftey was not thought of on most cars. Too bad the colors aren't authentic under the hood.
echoohce, try this for finding out what color paint this is on the Edsel: Look on the Internet for paint colors for '59 Edsel. If this is an authentic Edsel paint you should see it. Another idea, go to an auto paint store. They should have paint chips for many years of different makes. Let me know if you are successful in finding and matching this great color of blue.
can anyone help me find out what color blue that is? ..who makes the paint ? .......i have a 58 edsel ranger i want to paint this color......and also a 56 buick special...........this is the EXACT color i have been looking for........i have to find out what color that is ! ...........damn that is beautiful........
Beautiful Car! '59 was the best year for Edsel. The previous radically styled grill was tamed down a bit and now looked great. Pontiac practically copied it in the late 60's.
back when cars and trucks were unique now they are all the same soo sad

We sold our edsel like 10 years ago in New Hampshire for $1,000, I wish we had kept it.

I agree! The 59's are the best design. This is why I recorded a '59. It looks a lot better than the '58. Pontiac, I think, did copied that look.
