God, Sentinels have got to be my favorite comic book villians just because of the double standard with mutants they show. By that I mean, you cheer on the mutants because the Sentinels are the bad guys, but everyone else views the mutants as a threat and the bad guys, and the Sentinels are there to eradicate them. How much better do you get than that?

Nimrod has always been stated as being the most advanced and powerful sentinel ever; he has 100+ class strength and a powerful desintegrator beam, among other things, and he has been capable of scaring Juggernaut on one occasion.

That happened because of two reasons: as I said earlier, those were futuristic sentinels, therefore they were more powerful than the current sentinels; and since the mutant registration law had been passed, sentinels had begun to be produced in larger quantities, so the number was a factor too. Nevertheless, Nimrod was always their secret weapon. By the way, Wolverine, Forge and other mutants survived.

Besides that, as I already said, there were also other mutants who survived and joined Wolverine and Forge as part of the resistance, and those mutants weren't as powerful as the x-men; so, the sentinels from the future aren't invincible. And trust me, Nimrod is better than this sentinel.
