1:22-1:47 And that's why these people are trying to pass all these stupid censorship bills. They want to make us powerless and dependent on them again. They just want us sitting on the couch, muchin' on doritos all day, not hearing anything they don't want us to. It really is downright sinister.
People've known this for a long time. Occupy is like going to a bully and saying, "Stop being a meanie!". Those in charge will continue doing what they do. If the people get rowdy they'll pacify em with a small allowance. People conspire against each other on a daily basis on all levels, it's nature. It's not them vs us, it's the system. Someone needs to start a serious revolution or it's pointless. “We are not to expect to be translated from despotism to liberty in a featherbed.” -T. Jefferson
So i started thinking. The queen charges royalties to put her face on all coins and bank notes. Yep she charges a fee. Now there are about 17 Commonwealth countries she is charging per coin , per bank note. The commonwealth nations are paying taxes to the Queen. Look up fractional Reserve Banking. More importantly , look up Peak Oil.
The majorty is struggling, but if u dont understand basic economics how can u fix it. U cant just say do better. Politicians might steal money, but we still have rights. Read books like think & grow rich & bringing out the best in people. they teach how to take back ur life & become what u want. Economics says that only growing or new businesses create jobs. I can only control 2 things. MY ACTIONS AND MY ATTITUDE. thats why i create jobs now. "Be the change u wish to see in the world" an example

@TheLetsbegin Not all of humanity...some of us are indeed trying to BE the change--it's not easy now since there are so few of us, but the more of us who break off from the systems, the less there'll be for the sickening parasites which we HAVE ALLOWED to control us. No more protests, votes, etc.: BEing the Change is the ONLY solution (fighting them empowers them): We need to DISREGARD them as the greedy clowns, chumps and wankers that they are and let them cannibalize each other.
Fuck you hipster faggots and your TRENDY occupy movement. I have lots of money working hard on my own and you faggots need to get a job and quit eating tofu. I am the 110%.
All I saw in this video was a bunch of whining and not addressing any actual problems in the economic system in the US. All I heard was blaming the rich and the banks. No blame directed towards the politicians that make the laws that are supposed to regulate the financial industry. Laws that interfere with the ability of the free market to work.
In my book, working hard, creating a product, employing many people, gaining money by people voluntarily giving it to you in exchange for those products isn't greedy.
Saying, "You have more money than I do, I'ma take it" is.
Redistributing the wealth is essentially the same as price manipulations. The top 1% brought us iPods, computers, and medical technology.
complain to your government about the problems it's created, not the most productive among us.
If you limited the top 1%'s average annual PERSONAL income (not what's locked in business investments) to $1 million per year AFTER taxes at today's rates and businesses applied that to some combination of lower prices and increased wages, every single working American over the age of 20 would have $10,000 more disposable income per year. That would be enough to allow every child in the US to afford a college education. An educated society is an innovative prosperous society...
@eyeammi Who gives you the right to limit the success of any American? What do you think will happen to those that are successful after you limit that success or steal from their hard work? Do you understand that you should not steal from others just because you think someone has more than you? I have an idea - go out and earn it yourself. Stop being envious and stop scheming to steal from others.
I don't get this logic... The 99% gives the 1% that wealth because the 1% offers the 99% the goods and services that the 99% want the most. The 99% doesn't want the 1% to have more power than them, so understanding that they have been giving them the power, they can simply stop doing so. However, if they choose that the goods and services provided by the 1% are too much to give up, then the 99% have made that decision. Protesting and yelling about it is not logical, knowing this.
@Forseti6288 They can do this any day they wish. They work voluntarily each and every day. If you do not wish to work for the evil 1% - then don't. Go out and start your own business and work for yourself.
@MrJohngalt2011 Even so - It would be difficult to have a business that is not part of a hierarchy, where you are still purchasing good and services from other corporations and collaborating. While I do think it's possible to not contribute to this, ie: live in the wild, it would be impossible and unrealistic to think that you can convince the majority to go to such extremes.
You are not the 99%. Please stop trying to speak for me and millions of other Americans. It is very pompous for you to think that you can speak for others. I think that is pretty much the definition of a tyranny and a dictator.
So Dusty is the 1%? He's a hedge fund manager making $7M/yr?
Or, is it more likely that Dusty IS in the bottom 99% of wealth earners in the US? And have you even paid attention to the Occupy Movement, because everyone is a spokesperson. We are ALL the voice of occupy. How is that a tyrannical dictatorship?
But, I guess you long for a randian capitalist paradise, where the all mighty dollar is your god.
@sakar181 You are part of a minority that wishes to steal from other citizens. You want to take their success and make it your own instead of thinking for and succeeding for yourself. You are the fat kid on the side line that complains about those other kids that can run fast, but you are not motivated enough to train hard like the other kids. You sit and cry that life is not fair. How truly sad.
40% of your shit isn't gone, you didn't fucking earn your share! 50% of you god damned slackers are sucking off the rest of us! you are the 1% of whiny little lazy assed bastards!
@mrbadx19 this guy is a dumb ass!!!! banks don't rob people, you agree to borrow from a bank, you sign the loan paper shithead! i signed my loan for 15 years, paid it off in 2 years, bank got $2500 in interest. you are the dumb fucks who borrow for 30-40-50 years and bleed yourself dry!
god damned idiots! go occupy a toilet dusty, and don't come out, the world doesn't need a leech like yourself!
Correction. Now that we're a few months down the road, 1% of the population owns 70% of all assets. And they use whatever they can to make those assets inaccessible to the rest of us.
@HipRockInc ..."1.) I obviously don't believe in God "
Life WITHOUT Jesus is like an unsharpened pencil. There is no point. "I am not coveting anything but the things that were stolen from me and my generation. Am I not allowed to hold thieves accountable?"
ALL THIEVES will be held accountable one day, along with fornicators, adulterers, murderers and rapists.
"Jesus was one of the most famous socialists in history, assuming his existence"
@bornagain001 I sharpen my own pencil. I decided what the point for my life is. If the point to living is just waiting until you die so you can spend a blissful eternity, then why live at all? The afterlife is so much better for you. It diminishes the quality of life on Earth.
That's nice. I prefer to get back what is mine, here and now.
@dffykvn ....I'm not interested in what the bankers did to the working class (I AM WORKING CLASS MYSELF).....I only want to know what EXACTLY was stolen from you.
I havent had my home stolen, yet the financial vampires werent punished for any of their crimes theyre even using their power and influence to try and make the public pay their gambling debts
Countries are having their leaders replaced by bankers to impose austerity
I protest to help the victims of rapacious greed, they were robbed and noone was held accountable. I protest to change the system so that this shit does not happen again to them, to me or to anyone else
@dffykvn .....but it will happen again...no matter what system is in place because of GREED. GREED is prelevant in every government and every system in the world from communism to socialism to capitalism. Until you CHANGE MEN'S HEARTS....this will happen again.
When the market finally went tits up, people lost their homes, the banks started foreclosing on homes that they didn't keep proper chain of title too. They also successfully closed on homes that they didn't even have mortgages with them.
A lot of the houses they foreclosed on stay vacant, they don't bother maintaining them which lowers the values of the non foreclosed homes in the neighborhood
They also lie about restructuring the mortgage, string customers along and rip em off
@bonag For their gross incompetence, they bailed themselves out
They fucked over the world economy and had the nerve to congratulate themselves on the wonderful job they've done
The same ratings agencies that accepted bribes to rate crap as AAA are now trying to force job killing austerity measures on the world, threatening downgrades if we don't give in to banker terrorism
One of the corrupt institutions that caused the problem is now telling the public to sacrifice for banks
@bornagain001 It takes a lot of balls to tell people that are angry that the wall street pigs have games the system, fucked over the world, golden parachuted out of their banks (they didn't need the bush/obama bailout to do that) and foreclosed on their homes that they're coveting what wall streeters have
Wall st pigs have raped the real economy to enrich themselves and now have the NERVE to blame the people they fucked over for the mess they created
@bornagain001 As for hedge funds I dont see why they exist
Do we really need hedge funds like Mitt Romneys Bain Capitol (I probably got the spelling wrong) that buy up businesses, raid the pensions, sell off the assets, fuck the workers, hollow the company out to make it marketable, sell it for a profit, pocket that and pose for pictures with dollar bills in their mouths and laugh their asses off while regular people lose their jobs after the business they raped inevitably tanked?
Should I get in line while other people are fleeced?
Oh sure, I wasn't personally robbed.
But other people were and the criminals went unpunished. They're free to rob more people. Maybe in the next round I'd get lucky and be untouched. Maybe even the round after that.
But letting those sociopaths run things is financial russian roulette
I guess you're annoyed that OWSers arent waiting patiently in line to be fleeced like you
@dffykvn .....You are erroneously placing the all the blame on bankers who know as little about banking as the scientists who claim global warming is caused by man. MAN IS FALLIBLE. This includes bankers and scientists. I live in Jefferson County, Alabama. The county recently filed for bankruptsy throwing 1000's out of work. They had to file bankruptsy because the people we elected and put in office were both greedy and stupid. The same thing has happened in Greece.
@bornagain001 Ugh, I AM NOT PLACING ALL OF THE BLAME ON BANKS
I'm placing it on the large banks that created the crisis by bribing ratings agencies to make worthless securities AAA
As for bankrupt counties, I don't know about your county, but a number of counties, pension funds, states and entire countries were lied to about the junk securities american banks pushed
The institutions that bought the overrated (thanks easily bribed standards and poors et al) went bankrupt
The financial scammers got rich, the counties, pension funds, businesses and countries that bought them took the hit.
Now countries that were defrauded are being told by the people that ripped them off to sell off public businesses to private corporations that will make the services much more expensive, enrich the private businesses..and what a coincidence, the financial vampires buy into those companies to make themselves richer
As for your "change mens hearts!1!1!" bullshit, that's new age hippy garbage
Greed will ALWAYS exist, sociopaths will continue to be born in every generation, but when a greedy person commits a crime, that crime has to be punished or it shows other greedy heartless sociopaths that the system as it is won't punish them no matter how much suffering they cause.
That kind of system breeds more and more people who won't care how many people they fuck over
Our central bank makes us poorer and the elite richer. The federal reserve supplies unlimited funds for cheap to the banks, and the banks then charge us more interest to pay back the federal reserve. I am going to attach a couple links Dusty. You are wise, but I think you need to see the whole picture. You have studied religion well, now I ask you to study our monetary system and the federal reserve. It's much more of a fraud than any religion. Peace Dusty
I understand your message, but if the people earn their money, what gives us the right to take it away because they are more successful than we are? Don't get me wrong, I do think that rigged systems like the current banking system and fraud should be eliminated and eviscerated completely, with no trace left behind, but taking someone elses $100 and giving 10 people $10 isn't charity, it's stealing, and so is redistribution of wealth.
The problem is that most of the people are so asleep and involved in their daily shit that they cannot be wakened. And most of them are dependant on the State/Gov so much that they will attack anyone who trys to educate them about the very state/Gov that they are dependant on. There are too many sleepers !!!
OWS people are american heros. They are fighting for all of us. The men and women that fought and died on foreign soil and in foreign wars didn't do it to see their grand kids futures stomped out by Corporate Greed and Greedy lying politicians.
In equality didn't bother Americans when Americans as a whole were 5% of the world's population with 70% of the wealth . Even most of the protestors are fabulously wealthy by world standards . isn't there some hypocrisy involved ?
As long as the '1%' are earning their '40%' through entrepreneurship in competitive markets I am happy for them to make it and keep it. If a man or woman owns a business that provides a product, in an otherwise competitive market, that is so good and so desirable for its ingenuity, brilliance or simple excellence, I am happy for them to get ahead because I would rather a rich Thomas Edison than no light bulb. I would rather competent managers running our companies than 'equity' supported fools.
@vanRijn64 those "entrepreneurs" make their wealth off the backs of other people and the infrastructure paid for by our taxes. Yet wages are dropping, corporate wellfare is out of control, and the 1% use loopholes to avoid taxation. Of course many of these people were born into money and never worked a day :-P
The problem is...Dusty does not understand that IT IS FROM GOD.... WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW. God blesses who He wants and there is nothing you or I or Dusty can do about it. Although Dusty is a good WHINER.
i agree a lot of it has to do with education but the fact of the matter its that probably 80% of people protesting have no idea what the fuck they are protesting about, and wouldn't be able to tell you their ultimate goal
Dusty...once again you seem to be in confusion. GREED is as much a part of the makeup of man as your own ANGER. GREED consumes some people just as your own ANGER has consumed you. Please tell me what system is going to remove GREED from the hearts on man? Communism? Socialism? Look at where Socialism has gotten Europe. Look where Communism took the USSR. And now China is giving up communism for Capitalism. Go figure.
@bornagain001 Then why do countries with greater income equality have far less crime, better societal health, and are more innovative than ones with more inequality?
@Keitaro2011 The average income of the poorest 10 countries (by GDP PPP per capita) is proportionately closer to the median income of the respective country than is the case for the wealthiest 10 countries. Now, I know that you have a different definition in mind when you say "Income equality" but I know you are shooting from the hip when you try to relate all those 'good things' to equity. True, more equity can result in a more stable society but more wealth (GDP) ALWAYS improves stability.
@bornagain001 I lived in germany for three years. Their "socialist" society has better wages and a better standard of living than we do by leaps and bounds.
@HoleDweller ...Guess what...CUBA, BELARUS,LAOS, ZAMBIA, SYRIA and NORTH KOREA are also socialist societies. How are their standards of living and wages? I persoanlly prefer not to have BIG BROTHER dictating what kind of light bulbs I can buy, which medical doctor I must see, taking money out of my weekly paycheck to prop up their Ponzi skeme of Social Security and failing public school system.
@bornagain001 The best countries in the world have mixed economies. Their government doesn't decide which lightbulbs you can buy. They just ensure that everyone can find a job with a living wage in order to afford lightbulbs.
@HoleDweller You also have to factor in that they are in worse shape than we are financially and Germany's military funding comes from mostly the U.S. If America didn't have to pay for their military we could easily be socialist. The free market with no government intervention and no central economic planning by the federal reserve bank is the way to have the richest and most prosperous society.
We all want shitloads of money but not many are willing to dedicate to the hard work that's behind those $. Lazy ppl will remain poor and those who are willing to work their ass off to get the money will get/stay richer then the average. I'm not surprised 1% own 14% of the cake.
@Mazzakre39 It's 40%, brainiac, and most poor people work their butts off just to survive. You are a clueless elitist with his head in the sand about what's going on. But hey, enjoy having your head while you can because I'm investing in guillotines -- yeah, we're *that* angry!
Just for anybody that is confused, government regulation didn't cause the lack of balance and corporate greed... the lack of regulation allows for it... im not saying im a all for socialist regulation, but isn't it clear that there is a natural balance between capitalism and socialism that has yet to be found because people are too scared of the the extremes?
The wealthy have always had an extremely high % of the wealth. This isn't a new phenomenon that has caused the recent economic troubles. The top 1% had a larger % of the wealth in 1922 than they have had recently. In that time, we have seen the economic failure of the extreme form of socialism, communism. Whatever the solution to the troubled economy is, it is not that.
I disagree with you on this one dusty. Capitalism doesn't deal out wealth so everyone gets a fair share. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates didn't steal their billions of dollars of wealth, they created it. And since it's their ideas and their companies, their salary is theirs too. I don't begrudge them their millions because none of it came out of my pay check.
Logic? how about knowing basic economics? I am also part of the 99% and for that I am giving up the shit the 1% sells me: there goes the android, the phone company, the internet company, my car.... the hell with all, I am moving to Cuba where one guy owns 100% of all the shit... and won´t even let me get online. Wall Street demonstrators are a bunch of cry babies that need to learn reality and how really bureaucrats are the ones that fuck us all and get bought by "oligarchs".
The solution is less and less government, not more.
Government *caused* the meltdown by having so-called "regulators" push banks into making risky loans by enforcing the prevailing political climate in Washington of "everyone gets a house". Since these loans were guaranteed by the government, that represented a very "safe" investment..all of which was then exploited by money manipulators. Of course it was all built on the fairy tale created by having the Fed Reserve set an interest rate.
The truth is that ... youtube is also owned by a corporation. A corporation made the computer that I use (and love) on a daily basis. I don't hate corporations, I hate unfairness/greed.
I honestly had no idea what Occupy Wall Street was about (not politically inclined). But you put it in terms I could understand. "1% of assholes owns 40% of the shit"; clear as day!
The problem is, 30% of the population was taught from birth that change is bad, that if it isn't blessed by clergy it's bad. That if there isn't an Amercan flag wavinng behind it, it's bad.
The problem is, this hard-headed portion of the population, the people who think critical thinking is evil, is standing in the way. Good luck, Dusty. I hope you can convert some of these people.
@mecher3k I'm from Texas, and by dad works in the energy sector. You're either a troll or just ignorant. But either way, stop making yourself look stupid.
From colonisation they always put the smaller groups of society in charge and that is what they are still doing today, we are the 99%! .. come on,,, It's not just ours but our kids future lives that are at risk ! for freedom now,,,,,,,,,,, True Democracy at last!
Um, the government has done nothing? Dodd-Frank? Of course, that only made things worse with the Durbin Amendment which places price controls on debit transactions, the cost of which are being carried over to the consumer with debit card fees. Why do you think BOA has these $5 fees for using your debit card now?
Don’t blame the banks for the crisis: blame the government for requiring banks to offer loans to low-income individuals to buy houses they couldn’t afford.
I know you're a troll, and thus cognition isn't your strongest point, but at least read up on Dodd-Frank and the Durbin Amendment. The least you can do is educate yourself.
@mecher3k The only thing I defend is the truth, which is something you apparently don't want to seek. I gave my reasons for thinking the way I think, all you gave is insults. but then again, you're just a troll.
"Wealth", is not a static, fixed pie. It's not a finite amount. All wealth has been created, and continues to be created, by productive thought and effort. You create your own wealth. Start a business. Work two jobs. "1%" have 40% of our shit"................lol............It's not "your shit". It's theirs. Your intelligence ahs failed you on this one.
You are not so intelligent yourself. When your shit deprives others of basic necessities it becomes every bodies shit. You have failed as a human being my friend.
@mon2nika How does your own earned wealth deprive anyone of anything? The fact that I have ten dollars, doesn't keep you from earning ten dollars. Or creating an invention that makes you a million dollars. That million dollars is not "taken" from anyone.
Dusty I agree but the government permitted it and I dont feel the occupy wall st people are exposing that fact as they should be. the corporations would be powerlessless without the government implemeting the decisions.
Ey Dusty, lately you're losing your sarcasm and irony in favor of just plain screaming. I know that rants are funny, but you're evolving just like heavy metal. From a fast and hard musical sound to a fast and hard noise. Just an observation.
Or maybe it's the change of subject, since it's a lot easier to make fun of christians who don't have a clue than in politics, which is far more complicated and difficult tu understand.
If you can't get your ass over to Wall Street, please consider supporting them. According to accepted criteria, I live below the poverty line and I am going to send them at least $10 a month as long as they stay. The longer they stay, the more I'll support them.
I would go, but my health sucks.
Support Occupy Wall Street. Literally. Send money and stuff.
When shit hits the fan and the internet goes down for good, I'm going to miss you, your videos, and all the knowledge of the internet. I don't know what I could do cause I'm not sure who to trust in the real world, and I'm afraid all these Christians and thugs are going to kill me for telling them that Jesus is not coming and that we are the ones with the power. What if they don't listen? And in my Business class, people actually believe that the economy is improving. :(
I'd like to believe that the rich are "job creators" and that is why they need all that money.. but these two words keep popping into my mind.. Fucking mansions...
So, whats the alternative for this problem? I agree with you when you say that we have a problem. But how we gonna resolve? We need do more than complain, we have to think in one solution. Do we gonna break the Capitalism down? And then? We have do create one thing better. Its not hard. Maybe just ajust the Capitalism.
Remember that all the chrisis were a open door for Nazimo, Facismo and others.
"We need do more than complain, we have to think in one solution."
This.
Although I fully support the intentions of the protesters (the ones that understand what they are protesting, anyway) I also know that simple peaceful protest is futile here. We need to channel this energy into a coherent solution.
"Remember that all the chrisis were a open door..."
Yes.
Bad things are often replaced with worse things when people go on their emotions. How do we avoid this?
@bowlsallbroken People need to know what they want. We need have a plan, a solid and better alternative. We cant just go to the streets and complain of this actually system. We have to say: "Your system is shit. We have one better and, with the agree of the marjority we gonna make this happening".
Its very very very important that all the world know why we are complaim, what and how we wanna change. And why the new plan(System) is better than older(Capitalism).
Even the we 99% is such a bad slogan. It is completely inaaccurate. If you read the UN report about the wealth distribution on which this is based you will find out that the West and other civilised nations like Japan for example are basically protesting against themselves. This is not a minor detail if the idea of this protest should be to send a strong and clear message.
I agree with you, abouth the christian origins of antisemitism, but that does not take away the responsility from Hitler, for the things he did, and it doesn't change the fact that he justified them with very similar argumentation to the one used by a lot of the OWS supporters.
Its pretty much what the Zeitgeist Movement is about. Replacing the Monetary Economy with the more sensible Resource Based Economy to where everyone has what they need to survive etc etc. They're solution needs more work..but it is a start..
one of the major problems is that 50% of the 99% doesn't even recognize that they are part of the 99%, and they watch their fox news and think they are actually part of the 1%, even though they don't have any wealth, and they scream bloody murder anytime someone suggests that the 1% need to pay their fair share of taxes, as if it will be coming out of their own pockets. it's a major problem
Occupy is a joke! All they care about is wallsteet when the real problem is the money makers you dumb fucking hipster starbucks rejects.

All I saw in this video was a bunch of whining and not addressing any actual problems in the economic system in the US. All I heard was blaming the rich and the banks. No blame directed towards the politicians that make the laws that are supposed to regulate the financial industry. Laws that interfere with the ability of the free market to work.

NRPBrute 1 month ago
@eyeammi Who gives you the right to limit the success of any American? What do you think will happen to those that are successful after you limit that success or steal from their hard work? Do you understand that you should not steal from others just because you think someone has more than you? I have an idea - go out and earn it yourself. Stop being envious and stop scheming to steal from others.
MrJohngalt2011 1 month ago
I don't get this logic... The 99% gives the 1% that wealth because the 1% offers the 99% the goods and services that the 99% want the most. The 99% doesn't want the 1% to have more power than them, so understanding that they have been giving them the power, they can simply stop doing so. However, if they choose that the goods and services provided by the 1% are too much to give up, then the 99% have made that decision. Protesting and yelling about it is not logical, knowing this.
Forseti6288 1 month ago
@Forseti6288 They can do this any day they wish. They work voluntarily each and every day. If you do not wish to work for the evil 1% - then don't. Go out and start your own business and work for yourself.
MrJohngalt2011 1 month ago
@MrJohngalt2011 Even so - It would be difficult to have a business that is not part of a hierarchy, where you are still purchasing good and services from other corporations and collaborating. While I do think it's possible to not contribute to this, ie: live in the wild, it would be impossible and unrealistic to think that you can convince the majority to go to such extremes.

@dffykvn ...what EXACTLY was stolen from you?
bornagain001 2 months ago
@bornagain001 Let's see
The bankers fucked over the working class by pushing subprime loans
The pushed subprime loans on people even if they qualified for fixed rate mortgages
They didn't do this because they were forced to
They did it because it was a far more lucrative deal than giving fixed rates (for people that qualify)
They bribed ratings agencies to rate crap securities as AAA
They arranged deals, sold them off and would even bet that deals that they made would fail
dffykvn 2 months ago
@dffykvn ....I'm not interested in what the bankers did to the working class (I AM WORKING CLASS MYSELF).....I only want to know what EXACTLY was stolen from you.
bornagain001 2 months ago
Personally?
I havent had my home stolen, yet the financial vampires werent punished for any of their crimes theyre even using their power and influence to try and make the public pay their gambling debts
Countries are having their leaders replaced by bankers to impose austerity
I protest to help the victims of rapacious greed, they were robbed and noone was held accountable. I protest to change the system so that this shit does not happen again to them, to me or to anyone else
dffykvn 2 months ago
@dffykvn .....but it will happen again...no matter what system is in place because of GREED. GREED is prelevant in every government and every system in the world from communism to socialism to capitalism. Until you CHANGE MEN'S HEARTS....this will happen again.
bornagain001 2 months ago
When the market finally went tits up, people lost their homes, the banks started foreclosing on homes that they didn't keep proper chain of title too. They also successfully closed on homes that they didn't even have mortgages with them.
A lot of the houses they foreclosed on stay vacant, they don't bother maintaining them which lowers the values of the non foreclosed homes in the neighborhood
They also lie about restructuring the mortgage, string customers along and rip em off
dffykvn 2 months ago
@bonag For their gross incompetence, they bailed themselves out
They fucked over the world economy and had the nerve to congratulate themselves on the wonderful job they've done
The same ratings agencies that accepted bribes to rate crap as AAA are now trying to force job killing austerity measures on the world, threatening downgrades if we don't give in to banker terrorism
One of the corrupt institutions that caused the problem is now telling the public to sacrifice for banks
dffykvn 2 months ago
@bornagain001 It takes a lot of balls to tell people that are angry that the wall street pigs have games the system, fucked over the world, golden parachuted out of their banks (they didn't need the bush/obama bailout to do that) and foreclosed on their homes that they're coveting what wall streeters have
Wall st pigs have raped the real economy to enrich themselves and now have the NERVE to blame the people they fucked over for the mess they created
dffykvn 2 months ago
@bornagain001 As for hedge funds I dont see why they exist
Do we really need hedge funds like Mitt Romneys Bain Capitol (I probably got the spelling wrong) that buy up businesses, raid the pensions, sell off the assets, fuck the workers, hollow the company out to make it marketable, sell it for a profit, pocket that and pose for pictures with dollar bills in their mouths and laugh their asses off while regular people lose their jobs after the business they raped inevitably tanked?

But other people were and the criminals went unpunished. They're free to rob more people. Maybe in the next round I'd get lucky and be untouched. Maybe even the round after that.
But letting those sociopaths run things is financial russian roulette
I guess you're annoyed that OWSers arent waiting patiently in line to be fleeced like you
dffykvn 2 months ago
@dffykvn .....You are erroneously placing the all the blame on bankers who know as little about banking as the scientists who claim global warming is caused by man. MAN IS FALLIBLE. This includes bankers and scientists. I live in Jefferson County, Alabama. The county recently filed for bankruptsy throwing 1000's out of work. They had to file bankruptsy because the people we elected and put in office were both greedy and stupid. The same thing has happened in Greece.
bornagain001 2 months ago
@bornagain001 Ugh, I AM NOT PLACING ALL OF THE BLAME ON BANKS
I'm placing it on the large banks that created the crisis by bribing ratings agencies to make worthless securities AAA
As for bankrupt counties, I don't know about your county, but a number of counties, pension funds, states and entire countries were lied to about the junk securities american banks pushed
The institutions that bought the overrated (thanks easily bribed standards and poors et al) went bankrupt
dffykvn 2 months ago
@bornagain001 Part 2
Thats why austerities a scam
dffykvn 2 months ago
@bornagain001 Part 2
That kind of system breeds more and more people who won't care how many people they fuck over
dffykvn 2 months ago
@bornaga Part 3
Are you a complete clown?
Only people that lose their businesses, their jobs or their homes should have a right to complain about it?
How about the people who are friends and family of the robbed, defrauded and dispossessed?
How about people with empathy for those that were scammed and ripped off by anything goes fuck em all capitalism?
How about people who want the people living in comfort thanks to financial scams...sorry "innovation" to go to jail for theft?

Don't get me wrong, I do think that rigged systems like the current banking system and fraud should be eliminated and eviscerated completely, with no trace left behind, but taking someone elses $100 and giving 10 people $10 isn't charity, it's stealing, and so is redistribution of wealth.

Keitaro2011 3 months ago
@Keitaro2011 The average income of the poorest 10 countries (by GDP PPP per capita) is proportionately closer to the median income of the respective country than is the case for the wealthiest 10 countries. Now, I know that you have a different definition in mind when you say "Income equality" but I know you are shooting from the hip when you try to relate all those 'good things' to equity. True, more equity can result in a more stable society but more wealth (GDP) ALWAYS improves stability.

Dusty,
When shit hits the fan and the internet goes down for good, I'm going to miss you, your videos, and all the knowledge of the internet. :(

Logic.

How do we avoid this?
bowlsallbroken 4 months ago
