Bill Clinton is a smart man; his wife just got caught on the wrong side of the debate.
She tried to differentiate herself from Obama by being the candidate of fear instead of the candidate of hope (call at 3am in the White House, where something's happening in a dangerous world).
It's like the time when she demonized NAFTA while in states hurt by NAFTA, but both her and her husband helped NAFTA greatly and supported it wholeheartedly for the past two decades.
