  • Just watch my organ video playlist- 'Organ Tunes even Organ Haters will love!' and you will get a very good impression of what an organ is and isn't. Bottom line, an organ has flutes and diapason primarily. The church/classical pipe organs have other voicing as well. Now when they created the electric/ electronic organ Hammond maintained the flute voice as a foundation tone and used harmonics of these flute pitches to create the tonality of all musical instruments. The ear is smart!Give it time.

  • Guys.. yes it seems like its keyboards days and synths... And more people play the piano.. sadly we in India hardly have an access to the organ...Wish some could be sent to us both digital and pipe.....SIGH

  • From the back that looks like Choy Lozada. I agree - Hammond 'was'. ROland put those amazing drawbars on the Ateliers because Hammond was the best in 'that' genre, as a part of what organ can do. But ture organ has always been built around multi-voicing and layering, and Atelier can't be beat. The sound quality and realism, orchestral and pipe both, are beyond anything else in the market, past or present, and probably future too.

  • There is no market for home organs in the USA, Lowrey is the only home organ that out sells Roland Atelier organs. Within the next ten years, Lowrey will be out of business. Same as the church organ market as every church that I have attended, the musician is playing the piano, not the organ. The organ is the thing of the past right now as no one is buying organs in the USA.

  • Roland Atelier is so good that it took all the fun out! Still a hammond fan..

  • i own an older AT90R. it works pretty well being 13 years old. pretty much all the same features as the newer ones, but without the fancy-pants UI :p

  • wow, nice. i have an old hammond T-595, its good but its not that good

  • This is really really great to see Roland staying in the Market in the US. I think more are beginning to realize the beauty of what a Roland organ can provide. I recall when organs were dominate in the US. It would be wonderful to see a reemergence of organs in the US market after having been on the decline for so long for regular households. I have a Yamaha organ, for example, I would never part with for a keyboard for my interests...

  • roland home organ rocks hammond is useless.

  • Nice to see Roland continuing on in the home organ market in North America.

  • It is an outstanding instrument but Roland have put it out of financial reach of those who would enjoy it most! It's an Icon for Roland - but for the majority - it's just a dream! Pity!

  • The B3 has this organ beat all the way Cant beat that good ol' Hammond Sound

  • I have to disagree with ya dude. Hammond is the best out there playing rock, jazz, gospel but when it comes to orch. sounds new organs like this has Hammond beat.

  • Yea I guess so if you are going for a orchestra sound but like you said other than that b3 c3 all the way

  • I know a organ that would out dew hammond and that is the wersi organ. Wersi can over take hammond organ sounds for gospel, rock and jazz

  • The very best Roland Atelier artist in the world is Tony Fenelon, Medal of the Order of Australia (HRM The Queen). In 1969 (yes 69) the critics said, "He played rings around any organist in the United States." His Atelier work is flawless. He has perfect pitch and a equally perfect memory. The first time Roland sent him to Japan, he put on a set of earphones and a learn Japanese. By the time he reached Japan, he spoke perfect Japanese.

  • You really should take a listen to Hector Olivera on the Atelier. Tony Fenelon is good, but Hector blows him off the stage

  • hector olivera will blow any pro organist both electronic and classical off the stage,. ive seen loads of proffesional players but they dont even come a close second to him .. so torganist i totally agree there !

  • Everytime I hear that organ ,sounds better all the time

  • Sounds Sweet

  • Love those beautiful voicings and inversions!

  • Who was that playing? That was great

  • A Roland rep. at the Roland vendor display at the big Namn music & sound show spring '07 An. CA

  • The Namn show to us music and sound people is like a child going to a large candy (not store) -Factory! Every floor of that An. CA convention center in every Jan. is FILLED with music, lights, sound vendors from all over the world!!! It blew my mine! -And music stars walk thru there all the time! The whole 3rd floor is given to every grand piano vendor there is! I was in music heaven! lolol

  • def the B3

  • R U SERIOUS ( THAT"S ALL I HAVE TO SAY))

  • Verity is the spice of life! This is a great organ when it comes to that style!
