@Megan1156 JK was planning to make Harry/Hermione canon(Reason for all the Harmony hints in PoA ans GoF) Then she wanted Draco/Hermione then back to Harry/Hermione then she decided that Ron was most compatible with Hermione :/ I get why she would make them canon, showing how in the PS they hated each other to where they fell in love to show there relationship grow. But that's the only reason I can see it becoming canon. To me Ron/Hermione came out of no where in HBP at least on Hermiones part...

draco/hermione was never happening. that pairing is very much fan invented (and one of my favourites)

@Megan1156 it was due to a complete and utter lack of physical attraction between the two. she was his first real female relationship, which is a position usually filled by a mother or sister, she looked after him like she was his mother, and it was always completely platonic between the two. it would have been downright creepy, really, if he had liked her that way. almost incestuous.
