@ThatOneRandomGuy194 I think it's the oldest company in the world. Chartered in 1670 as the Company of Gentleman Adventurers Trading Around Hudson's Bay.
Holy jeeze eh! Like that video totaly blew my frikin mind eh, Gosh I love Canada. Did I mension I'm from Canada? whats that, you can tell?! No way....you totaly read my mind eh. CANADIAN BEER RULES, AND THE BEAVER AIN'T TO SHABY! ;D
I don't think Michael Ignatieff has any right singing this song (or making this claim) since he went across most of the world for most of his adult life telling people he was either British or American.
By your claims, our first prime minister, Sir John A, a proud Scot, would also not be Canadian! I would much rather have a prime minister who had travelled the world than one who didn't even have a passport before becoming PM (like Mr. Harper). It sounds odd, but travelling the world, you become even more appreciative of what it means to be Canadian! Try it!
I love the stereotypes in the vid. I mean most countries HATE there stereotypes (Americans Fat as fuck etc) but Canadians are so cool we embrace our stereotypes as pot smoking, beer drinking, flannel wearing lumberjacks even if we don't smoke, drink, wear flannel or chop wood.
WOW! America is really uneducated with comments like that!
Canada fought in the war from the very beginning, America jumped in during the later years and this is for BOTH wars.
America came in at a time where both sides were worn, and low on resources. With freshmen and new supplies, is it any wonder America was so dominating?
BTW, America supplied both sides before entering the war. Those were some tasty sandwiches you fed the Nazis with ;)
As for the Advertiseing "I AM CANADIAN" that was an Attention Getter for Canadians and the adverts won awards in Cannes, thats CANNES in FRANCE.Retired that in 2005 and started a new one called "It Starts Here"..And this time they have a Canadian Actor portraying an American Spokesperson about Stereotype American ignorance of Canadian Culture.
So as far as I know they are not Amercian, they are very much a Canadian Company with its home in Montreal.Oh,that is in Canada if you needed to know.
dominicapaige,Hate to tell you,Molso-Coors is Canadian and has a joint venture with Miller down there and handles both Productions for Canada and American..Hate to say there mate, the are Canadian for 222 years and still going strong.
Proud to be canadian but...just bad they didn't put a little bit of Québec in this video. Even if we do speak french, we are a part of this country and we made Robitaille, Luongo , Lemieux, Brodeur, Roy, etc...oh and Céline dion ! lol. Anyway, I AM CANADIAN
Nice video with a catchy tune. Gotta say that I've lived in Northern Minnesota for most of my life and have been to Canada many times. You have a beautiful country and understand the Hockey=awesome. But I must say that I was a bit disappointed to see all the America bashing and stereotyping-Though some were humorous and I lol'd.
I'm proud to be an American and nothing will ever change that, it's too bad some other people are Americans, but every community has its black sheep.
profeta07, if you look closer, you'll notice that almost all Canadians participate in Toronto-bashing. You could say that Torontonians (being one myself) are the black sheep of Canada.
@profeta07 I am very proud to be Canadian, but also respect and love our neighbours to the south. I've been around the world and, although I don't like to admit it, a lot of the bashing is out of jealously for the things that America stands for and the opportunities afforded to the people there.
Dave, i hope you have fun with that, have fun paying for Medicare, and also have fun having such a boring life that you like to bash other countries that you are completely reliant upon I'm not Anti-American but i am Anti-Idiot...And this is the reason why people hate Americans...

It also provides insight as to why Americans claim to be Canadian while travelling the world, you're closed minded and ignorant to anything outside your dank and tired little corner. Then what possible reason do you have to watch a video made for Canadians. Just can't help but laugh at pathetic ignorant people like you. Now get the fuck off my videos if your gong to leave comments like this
nice video! sadly not made by Canadians, but still. ok racist people, in case you haven't noticed Canada is MULTIcultural, (multi means not one race dumbos) and basing your opinons of Canada on a freaking video is pretty shallow and stupid. Yeah, you're idiots. No offense. I am fricking proud to be Canadian and I don't give a crap to what you sad, sad racist haters of Canadains think! (by the way we pwned in the hockey shot)
I think what our friend is trying to say is that everybody in this commercial is white, which does actually fly in the face of Canada's sworn mantra of multiculturalism.
I'm neither American nor Canadian but I study Marketing and I can say that this is a great spot from a commercial point of view. A spot is a well-done spot when it fulfills a watcher's longing. And the longing of being part of a "great country" is a very strong longing.
Wait... what do they do in Canada? Famous for... Maple Syrup, Lumber, some stuff gets manufactured there, being a dual language nation (english and french), and then everything else thats great about canada... At least you dont see Canada in the news all the time like the US, we're always doing some stupid shit.
