If you accidentally hammer your finger would you rather the ring break or bend and crush your finger. Tungsten is the ultimate superior ring and jewelers are scared that they can't mark it up.
Any chemist will tell you that Tungsten is much more durable than any natural metal. I think this guy is in fear of losing his job to Tungsten jewelery manufacturers....
those rings are super THIN, made of tungsten ALLOY, and not Carbide. My wife bought me a tungsten carbide ring and Im a Paramedic, and I have had my ring run over by my rig, and it was flawless. I will stand by my claim of tungsten carbide rings ARE indestructible.
This guy is so full of crap. He is trying to peddle steel by calling it cobalt. He is out of his mind! Steel or shall I say cobalt can tarnish and change the color of your finger. He is also showing a Jeff Cooper design ring as a sample as if he designed it! What a knock-off artist!! Go do some more lines Scott!!!
Oh wow what a load of marketing BS! No wonder this idiot disabled comments on his own videos! No, WC is not indestructible but it's as good as for a ring. Even diamond isn't indestructible, you can burn it in a bunsen flame or shatter it. I mean WC is used on drill bits and doesn't break under extreme heat and pressure! I like how he says these Cobalt rings are better but doesn't actually do any tests to compare them! Plus cobalt can react with sweat and tarnish the ring and stain your finger...
This guy is a pro? Then why is he using "tungsten" that looks cheap... Wait it is cheap.. I got a tungsten ring from tungsten online.. Nothing fancy cost me only 70.00 and it is simple.. Tough I've dropped it,thrown it just to see if it would break... I've put it under a 35lb dumbbell and hit it... Never broke... Still have the same one... I know it can break.. And here is how you break a good one.. Which by the way has a lifetime warranty ;) use a table vise,or a pair of vise grips... You have
What Scott Kay doesn't tell you is that those rings he tests are cheap cheap cheap from China and aren't meant to last like QUALITY tungsten carbide ones.
But shhhh, don't tell anyone or he'll find out you know his secret to why it's so "cheap!!"
@RDKamikaze Even the cheap stuff is better than what he used. $17 ring from Amazon lasted through being thrown on the floor and hit with a hammer. It wasnt until about the 10th strike that the ring broke. The force used would have been enough to smash his rings.
lol who needs jewelery anyway. either its meant to brag or divert attention from the fact that you are damn ugly
