I have a 94 LT1, and I was debating headers. But how do you attach the allternator to the header bolt? Or do you not have to? It's too late right now to check but I will in the a.m. Trying to put some on next month. Any advice is helpful, thanks.

What are some good sounder headers that don't cost $400... I like pacesetters but I really don't want to pay $400-$500 for long tube pace setters. I have couple videos of my car, it has no cats with a 1 chamber flowmaster its pretty damn loud, but I would like to put some headers on it to help the tone a little more.

@SuRihtanil lol NONE.I mean you can get cheapo ebay shit for $200-ish that will either crack or chip off the coating in a year or so,but man headers is one of the few things you really do get what you pay for,pacesetter is about as cheap as you get without skimping on quality.you can get a good set of coated pacesetters for about $450.Thats what Im getting.

I want to install headers on my LT1 but I cant even get past the nuts on the Manifold/cat flange....I blasted the shit out the of them with pb blaster and liquid wrench, used breaker bar, all my strength. Ridiculous something so small is holding me back.

You ought to get online and get a new computer for ur car. I have a 97 lt1 that kept throwing codes and turned on check engine lights. when it does this it sends the car into "Limp mode" and makes it run really rich. you can get ur PCM (computer) tuned and get the emissions shut off. cause if you leave emissions on with headers and custom exhaust the light will stay on. i got a new PCM already tuned with VATS and emissons and speed limiter shut off for only 160 and get 5 more mpg. look into it

yea i got the pcm for less a few months after this, i dont like running the open headers it wayy incredibly to loud...i went ahead and put cat converters back on it, no mufflers and it really does sound clean

I got a 97 TA LT1, 6 speed, t-tops, black. I drive to school and around with open headers. Loud as shit.

they were good, you can really feel a difference especially above about 3500. id recommend it

not to sure ive never had to change any tranny fluid...check out a good LT1 forum such as ls1tech they would know

just get GM ATF synthetic fluid. works wonders. or if you want to you could get royal purple but that is $13 a quart and the GM is $6 a quart. I think they put about 3 or 4 quarts in my trans.
