  • How could anyone do this!!!

  • 0:28 It's attacks from the ground!

  • Up up and away! now you cant harm me! AUGH! what the heck?!

  • SPIDER-MAN!

  • how did u do that

  • oh and can you give me the 3rd and 4th section of tracks that you changed

  • @S0LlDF0X I no longer have those exact files. Sorry :(

  • @RobertJGowans dang! I asked to late! ummm this may be a stupid question but do you remember what file you changed in the cam folder? (cp_st1.bin or op_st1.bin or neither)

  • Whats you website?

  • @S0LlDF0X You know, I wish I set one up since the response to these videos has been great. And there is so much amazing potential to mod this game, build entire new levels, and new monsters etc, and who knows what else!

  • @RobertJGowans Thats good! You are very talented (and patient lol) when it comes to modding the hotd2 folders because man are there alot of section that can be changed.....-_-.....but anyways just keep us posted.

  • @mryehaaaa I normally make a quick backup of any file that I'm about to change. Its good to keep the original file so you can put it back in anytime.

  • may you teach me how to do that?

  • i have Winhex , how do you edit files and stuff

  • You open one of the game resource files, look for patterns and alter values. When you change something you go back into the game to see if something you altered changed anything. I decoded the entire level model format this way ^_^

It's time consuming, and you need some knowledge of how computers store values.

  • i'm sorry to keep bugging you , where are the patterns and alter values? , i just really want to mod the game

  • Im sorry, but this really isn't very easy to explain. But for an example, in the games directory in the EVT folder, there are a bunch of files (eg st1evtbl.bin). These files contain info about what happens during a level - which enemies appear etc. Now to hack these files, you open them in WinHex and start changing values and see if they affect the game in any way. Then you learn what things do what.

If you really wanna get into this then google some info about "file reverse engineering".

  • yer kool u should make a mod that lets u move the camara like an fps shooter and replace the zombie models with land of the dead zombies and explore the city. sorta like a survival fpsrpg game. then send it to MEE!!!

    LOL!!!
