  • I love this song. It reminds me of my first "boyfriend", puppy love. It was innocent.

  • this was a classic I had on VHS! Thanks for posting!

  • So talented

  • Love the HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So in love with Steven Russell..............

  • dat haircut wont fly today

  • @ausdcoop Quit playin. you know someone trying to bring that joint back right now. I saw a few people with the gumby cut

  • Ohhhhhhh. They look great and sound awesome. The ones who disliked this video are crazy. They don't know real music! It could bite them in the ass and they still would be clueless.

  • I like how they got low at the beginning lol!

  • Troop did their thing wit their version always will love dis song!

  • I'm sorry, Troop is OK; But if it isn't broken don't try 2 fix it. Classics shouldn't be Touch! Because they're Gold, M.J had more soul in it, much Smoother voice especially hitting those high notes, perfect pitch. When he sings Woooh.. my heart melts, Troop knew they had a hit when they covered it because it's a Beautiful & Sexy song. I only wish MJ. had released it back in the day, like so many other PRICELESS Gems they didn't push 4. There's no Music like old school MUSIC, Good Days & Times.

  • I am an idiot-- i did not even know this was a remake-- when I was a youngster growing up-- I saw Jackson 5 version of this a few weeks ago-- Great-- But Troop did a great job remaking it.

  • They was housin back then.

  • Love this song

  • that nigga that started off..needed to calm down with that heyyyyyaaahoooo

  • @JKCpiggy Yes, he was a mess....He tried again at the end. He needed to exit stage right!

  • True talent. The four idiots that said they thumbs down need to be hunted down and hung lol.

  • Troop were some talented brothers. They had some hits back in the day. Much love to these brothers. I wonder what their up to these days.

  • DAMN THEM! Stop singing Michael's songs :(

  • that bitch at 1:02 is one ugly broad.. she got black people version of a mullett

  • I do love this version of the song, but I still like the original Jackson Five version better.

  • Yeah troop had some great singers. But new edition was just crisper.

  • That my Cuzo JohnJohn

    Troop is Still Dope!

    Redlowmusic

  • I love this song...my old boyfriend from high school told me that when this remake came out back then it reminded him of me...awwww! Now I'm finding out 20 years later...lol!!! Reunions can really throw u off...love him!

  • They sounded so good live, better than this crap now. Nobody can perform live now and sound good except for a few.

  • lol, they are groovin on that stage!!

  • this was the time when some niggas did a fucking nice boy group..today you cant forget some good r&nb music..peace out !

  • great song but what was going on with their hair?

  • they were so cute.my son was in high shool when this came out.he played it every morning before school.i think he was in love.lol.i think every teen loved it.i liked it too. nice song.

  • Their live performance sounds just as good as their recorded version. Nowadays, the live don't sound like the artist at all.

  • When I see these bruhs hair... it prevents me from getting a fad haircut like these brothas gettin mohawks now. In like 5 years they're gonna get clowned HARD!

  • @wward35634 lol!! very true

  • this still da shit!.. i grew up to this

  • not the B12 DIDDY VERSION

  • @novokanenupe you mean B5 remake. No i don't like their version.

  • @BLAKPEARL69 lol yeah i knew it was B somebody lol

  • @novokanenupe Lol.

  • This is music u could listen to with you parents in the car and not have to change the station. Cant do that now and im 35 with kids.

  • I'm an '80s baby and all i would listen to was Troop's music...I had a HUGE crush on Allen even though I was about 9 years old.....he always had those sleepy eyes...miss those days! My kids LOVE Troop everytime they hear their music...proof that good classic music never gets old! Still in love is my jam...me and my hubby still slow dance to that! :)

  • THE SUITS...CLASSIC.

  • @antjuanoden Hey, those were the times. Wearing suits that were slightly too big, with extremely broad shoulder pads. HAIRCUTS....CLASSIC!

  • @pleonrhyme

How did music and the artists go son wrong?

  • The lyrics in this song seem too young for this group. They look so much older than what the song describes. I think of High Schoolers or even middle schoolers lol. Anyways, their version is still really good.

  • @mikaelia0724 They had pretty much just finished high-school when they recorded this, so it was still age appropriate. lol

  • Gosh I miss these kind of groups...... I still play this on heavy rotation

  • omfg, i swear i luv this sung.. damn there aint music lik this no more

  • check out the hair of the girl he's serenading....lol...can't believe i had the same cut & knew i was the BOMB! gotta luv it!

  • Unbeatable... Troop... i would give my left hand to see these guys live!!!

  • Sick, sick, sick choreography, what!

These were the days when real niggaz were making music - not flippin jls and all the other wanna be r & b singers out there.

  • wow, look @ their hair cuts!!!

  • wow, look @ their hair cuts!!!

  • The original will always be the best ! I LOVE B5's version. This one is good to.

  • omg i love this song

  • Oh WOW...I remember this...I have this performance on VHS somewhere. En Vogue was the other featured group in this BET concert series. I loved both groups back then... Still love their songs today..

  • The Original By Jackson 5! No1 can touch the original y'all!

    L.o.v.e.

  • I hate to say it, but I like Troop's version best.

  • yeah but think about the people that have done nothing to spread this to their kids along with core values and this is what you get today... rappers talkin about sex and everything... its kinda our fault

  • This was when all of the singers actually knew how to sing. If there was one who did not believe me he made up for it in others ways like rapping, writing, instruments, producing and REAL image. Unlike today all you have to have is a six pack and confidence.

  • I love their voices..so talented

  • i love the short guy

  • 1990 Live

  • Truly Talented.. These have the sweetest voices... Love them... Where the hell are they?

  • I can't get over that opening dance move, lmao...and those Dick Tracey suits are atrocious. Nevertheless, this is one of my favorite early 90s R&B joints!

  • Awesome! Great Flashbacks!

  • Troop is the Shiznit!!!!

  • Wow I had know idea the Jackson 5 did this song, thats crazy.

  • They did justice to The Jackson 5, with this rendition...Most people didn't even know that it was a cover! Bronze Malone

  • LOL...check the suits and the hair cuts! I used to play this joint over and over in my Sony Walkman while washing the dishes! LMAO!

  • Men oh men!! I use to be such a big Troop fan, I even wrote them a letter in very very bad English, asking if they could come to Holland..

Still love the music...the looks, the voices everything...

  • This was before the "boy bands" had to wear "ear pieces to hear the harmony! HAHAHA! F UCK THE CRAPPY R&B OF TODAY! HAHAHA! (Not really....they were all inspired by this stuff!)

  • @rbergsten74 - inspired by but have done no justice to this stuff =P

  • I used to love me some Troop. still do

  • i mean as a teen

  • it would've been cool to grow up in the 90's

  • and 80's. around that area ;)

  • Were they at the Warfield, for this video clip?

  • If you love TROOP, you will love Allen McNeil aka Mr. AL MAC one of the lead singers of TROOP's new album Hybernation. If you haven't heard it yet check for it online. It is the sound of TROOP you love. Stay tuned!!!

  • man..i wish groups like TROOP would come back. me and my sis were totally into this group when they were hott! good music! and Allen was my boo! lol

  • Damn this my joint. Check out the lady @ 3:01

Damn she fine. Please girl, dont sit on my car, cause they will tow it away,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • @MRSSPECBLUESMITH...it was for sure a 2 girl 2 guy group...their first single was a song that had a positive twist to it...their 2nd single was a slow song that sounded more like a duet...they had 1 or 2 performances at the donny simpson show(but who didnt perform there?...lol)....ugh!!

  • does anyone remember a rnb group that consisted of i think 2 ladies and 2 or 3 guys...they were from philly i think...they had 1 or 2 hit singles and a very colorful album cover, lol...cant think of the group off the top of my head, ugh!!!

  • @bryanvallente i believe your thinking of the group subway(my love is the ish)

  • not subway.( something for the people)

  • @MRSSPECBLUESMITH Thank you. Subway? What was she thinking about. Got with it already.

  • @bryanvallente it was small change if they was from phily they worked with the boys back in the early 90's

  • @jumpinjerseystudios ...you're right!!...i remember a song from them and the guy who rapped in the last verse said something of a small change...they had a nice slow song too in their album sorta like a duet...thank you so much for refreshing my memory....geez, that was about 20 years ago when they came out=)

  • @bryanvallente Is it Small Change? They're from Philly and they had 2 girls and 2 guys.....

  • i would hate to see this song be remade again with all the crap groups that are out there....i wasnt even born when jackson 5 was around, lol....but i was in 6th or 7th grade when this came in...and along with other groups like riff, guy, special generation, jodeci, bbd...these groups had genuinly nice people singing these songs....it was gangsta rap that killed this new jack swing era of great music...then later on up to now rnb groups gotta have some rapper on the 3rd verse or sumthin

  • I think this is the ONLY remake of a Jackson 5 song where I actually liked the remake better than the original.

  • @FroSoFoxy Troop made this song a hit! I remember when they where on BET and Donnie didn't even know it was a Jackson five song. Steve Rusell said, Michael heard there version and liked it! Video Soul yall!!!!

  • @FroSoFoxy I agree with you 100%

one of the only songs where you can say

B5 dropped tha ball on this.

This will never be touched by anybody else

  • @FroSoFoxy It sounds the same Troop did an excellent job. There is no music like the old school.

  • @FroSoFoxy

Yes this is a 1975 J5 song. Butthis version is more popular because J5 didn't release this song. It was just a filler on their album.

  • @FroSoFoxy yeah! I have to agree 100% Troop did this song some real justice!!! Their vocals were on point too!!!

  • @FroSoFoxy I guess youre right.

  • @FroSoFoxy Yup I think so also.

  • @FroSoFoxy yeah me tooooo

  • They dont write songs like this anymore, this was the shit!

  • I remember being a shorty, getting my first crushes to this joint right here :)

  • i was just singing this joint to my girl today, and i remember singing it in high school and i sung it to her back then!!! great memories... :)

  • What is crazy is I remember when this aired. I have it recorded from the tv on a VHS tape

  • Word I have this and the music video version from Video Soul recorded on tape, good times.

  • I remember driving around in my convertible when I was 16 turning the volume to full blast when this song came on!

  • this is very good, but the Jacksons did it better, most people didn't know that the Jackson 5 sung it first

  • They sung this song so doggone good. Such a beautiful love song.

  • This is one of those groups where every member sounded like the lead singer. Each one of those guys could have been a solo artist.Hands down of the best singing groups around.

  • ok mj did it before but still they i love how the backstree boys and bands like that copied the moves the Troop made.nice one mate:D

  • 100% Troop fan.

  • These guys are good but I like B5 version of this better they can really sing if you don't believe me look up some videos of them harmonizing I recomend the song no one else.

  • oh man michael jackson should have performed this in his concerts. also with the brothers. it was a great song that was underrated til Troop made it bigger. Michael Jackson had a lot more in his bag other than Billie Jean, Bad etc....

  • First before they sing one syllable need to shout out k the Jacksons for allowing them to sing this song.

  • All the way back to 1990...this cut was in heavy rotation!

  • Michael sang the heck out of this song back in the day. TROOP did an excellent job remaking it. Man I miss these cats. Those dance moves were too sexy and loved the way they sang. Bring back the old skool groups like Silk, New Edition, Riff, Az Yet, B2Men...

  • yo i didn't even know mj sang this song thanks gotta look that up

  • They did a pretty good remake of this song

  • J5 made it first love both versions

  • this is so funny you can tell this is from an old vhs tape my sister copy looked just liike this . i had such a huge crush on troop

  • Ha!!!!!!! man I miss those days!

  • man, this song has went throught generations!

in the 80's with the jacksons

    in the 90's with troop

and in 00's wit b5! look evn thought i am a HUGE b5 and jackson 5 fan troop did this song better hands down, i luved b5's version but troop was better, and ABSOLUTELY no disrespect 2 the jackson 5 though

  • 70's

  • One of the few songs I can relate to. I get nostalgic every time I listen to it....

I also like the original version by the Jacksons.

  • Al Mac had a better voice than Steve...

or maybe I should just say had a different voice.

I cant believe how much control he has.

    Amazing...

  • Troop's version is better even though I am a huge MJ fan and I always love to hear Michael sing anything! They really did this song better they drew it out and their vocals are stronger. When J5 recorded MJs voice was changing and was sort of in between not as strong as these boys but not his adult voice yet, but still good though.

  • Of course we think this version is better because this is what we probably grew up with. I just heard the J5 version and had no clue that they did it first.

  • i never knew dat j5 originally sang dis song i went an listened to j5 sing it it was kool but troop version is way better then j5's version no disrespect to dem but troop made it a hit in the 90's i love wen troop sang it b5 was was kool also but troops version was the best hands down

  • no1 does it better den j5 sorry but dis version is ALOT better den b5-dey completely SUCKED.Did u see dem tryin 2 sing on 106 & park?O gosh,I had to cover my ears.

  • lllllllllllllmao @ lilton25

  • i didn't realize B5 remade this song until i saw the jackson 5 sing it and i noticed ppl talkin about troop singing it too. wow

  • troop sang this shit stop hatin

  • hey dat snagle toof bitch at 3:02 look like my ex.lol

  • I don't really like this version. J5 version will always be the best because Michael sang it so beautifully. Everyone knows that no one can top Michael Jackson!

  • Ive realized Michael sung the hell out of this song, and Troop did well, who's singing the lead for them? But anyway Michael sung the hell out of this song,I loved his vocals.

  • I love Troop !! What I also loved back in the day is when the singers actually sang live. So you knew they could really sing !!

  • i love troop but there version was better handsdown no disrespect to J5

  • I grew up on this version. Just discovered J5's version which is now my favorite. MJ was phenomenal on the vocals.

  • I love TROOP they are underrated and they still tour w/ new solo music and together I cant wait until they come to my city I will be there FRONT ROW CENTER!!!

  • Troop did an excellent remake of the song. B5-butchered it. I will always love the Jackson 5 version though better for the simple fact that Michael sung the lead song and his voice was so beautiful and pure and he sung it from the bottom of his heart. and it had the more 70's soul sound to it. and to the Csway i agree. they should have went on the BET awards and sung the song. would have been nice to have seen that

  • Lol. That's soooo true!

I already know MTV is gonna kill it though! I can't wait!! =) I'm so mad BET didn't do a better job.

  • didnt think id ever hear this again - cheers for posting :) x

  • Lmao this chic 2:31 said I could succ his $%$@ all night long, mmmmm! LMAO ROFL!

    -Stosa!

  • when i was a lil girl my dad sung this to my mom on valentine day to her

  • Definately a Jackson 5 song, but O.K.

B5 && Troop need to go somewhere,

    J5 is the original.

  • Troops version was nice.

  • It would have been nice to see them at the BET awards performing this song. Maybe when there is real tribute to Michael, these gentlemen would be called to perform this single. That would be nice.

  • yall ALL need to download the Jackson Family music archive & listen to it. The Jackson 5 are the original singers of this song as well as "Ready Or Not, Gonna Find You" by Lauren Hill & an assload of other songs by todays artist...

  • Actually, The delfonics were the original group to perform Ready or Not. But I agree that people need to dig into the J5 collection as well as other artists they were influenced by.

And to the other folks, even though I think J5's "All I do" is the best, Troop did the song justice. Let's not forget., J5 did their fair share of covers.

  • LOL. Who gave me a thumbs down? Everything I said was fact except for the opinion, and it was just that.

I came back to watch the performance again and discover a thumbs down, people will do that for anything. Which almost makes me wish youtube never started it.

  • eh Don't worry about thumb downs..............be happy & know that what you said was the !sh to you!

  • Haha. True...Thanks keevi!

  • Oh gosh the man in ur dp is gorgeous & I have to add that there are lots of nutbuckets on youtube so keep that in mind also!

  • You never said truer words. There are a lot of headcases on youtube.

Isn't he though? Especially in that picture. That's Larry Johnson (LJ) of the Chiefs, football player.

  • LOLZ if only I would've gotten a closer look, KC is my hometown & I used to love him w/his cocky azz. I'm in love w/Dewayne Bowe now #82

  • He is cocky though. But to be honest I'm not even that into him, I just love that picture of him.

  • B5 are only one hit wonders because Diddy doesn't know how to promote his artists. They have the talent, and they can dance on top of that but they didn't get the promotion they deserved. Diddy is really more known for taking other artists' beats and just remixing them for his newer artists or either sampling part of a song from someone for example like Aaliyah, Earth Wind and Fire people of that calibre. But this version is good too, so is B5's.

  • I agree! Jackson 5 has the best version over those other 2 1 hit wonders.

  • I think it's cool that you guys redid this song but you did whore it up with the moves, not my taste but to each his own. just don't forget that the jackson 5 are the original holders to the tune and they did it with such grace*

  • TRoop and B5 some COPYCATs....CUZ JACKSON 5 ARE THE ORIGINAL CREATORS of THIS SONG AND THEY HAVE THE BEST VERSION!!!! RIP M.JACKSON!!!!

  • In hopes to put this to rest. TROOP always let it be known that this was a cover of the Jackson 5 original recording. Check my video posting of it them on Arsenio stating just that at the end. Also Michael & Janet told TROOP in person that they loved their version. So did a lot of fans because it was a b-side record that TROOP took to number one. So lets not divide & pay homage & respect to the Jacksons. In case you are wondering I know TROOP & work with Allen McNeil. All versions are nice.

  • can yall plz stop sayin b5 suck cause j5 troop and b5 all sing great but b5 just r sexier

  • b5 does suck lol. where are they now?

  • Every Generation of this song was excellent, including B5.

  • you know obdiane, you are right. people should just enjoy the soul of the music.

  • I think it is cool that 3 generations have been able to enjoy this song. First, the Jackson 5 made it a classic in the 70's then Troop continued to rock it with a smoother beat, and the last group was B5 did a little something with it. I personally like the Jackson 5 and Troops version, but that is because I was a little girl in the 70's, and my late teens with the Troop in the 90's version(which I remember the most).

  • I wish people would just enjoy the soul of the music, and stop fight over which was better version. God Bless...

  • i think it's great that each generation got to experience this wonderful song..i like the jackson five's version and love troops version..i won't discount B5's(i'm not young)..if it's great music it shouldn't matter when it was recorded long as the artist is talented.saying that B5's is the worst lollllll

  • Oh no its 6th grade again. lol

  • Troop did the best job on this song

  • Those girls are about to have a heartattack! I love it! Thought I was in love in the 5th grade off of this. LMAO. Wow! Still love this song!

  • Thanks so much for posting this I recorded this when it aired and played it somuch til the tape popped. I was so disappointed and since BET has changed so much I new I would never see it again, surfing uTUBE tonite made my night thanks agian I love this group, bes t songs to perform 2

  • can someone tell me who's

    singing da first verse?

  • John John

  • Wrong...John John did the first few notes when the music played, but the first verse was sang by Allen...

  • 1. think of your crush

2 make a heart with your hands

3 kiss your hand while its still in a heart

    4. your crush will ask your out tomorrow and kiss you

    5. this will only work if you post this to your favorite love songs

  • This is hands down the best of the 3 versions.

  • dont dude look like a cross between rudy and carlton??? LOL
