I am a Catholic and have a lot of respect for this man but some things are a little strange for me to take. One main thing I can think about just now is that according to scripture Jesus said that nobody knows when he will come back to earth and only the Father knows that. @TheJules1003 We can never know the timing of the Rapture and we must keep oil in our lamps and our wick trimmed at all times (sexual purity). However, we CAN determine Jesus' coming at Armageddon which occurs, I believe, some time in the fall of 2017. The reason we need to know that date is because we will be going through the great tribulation at that time, which Jesus said will be the worst period in human history, and we will need assurance that it will end and Jesus will return victorious.

@asas2jh Of course, Jesus' parable must be understood as symbolic. There aren't any oil stores open at midnight either. Keeping oil in your lamp and your wick trimmed is symbolic of sexual purity. That's why Jesus said the end times would be as in the days of Noah and Lot. All you need to do to find out that sexual impurity is the chief temptation of these end times is check out the tabloids as you go through a supermarket check out.

Didn't the church already change our holidays and rewrite our history in a protracted, idealized version? Sounds like the prince of lies pulled one over us with the New Testament. @Insidapc There's nothing wrong with celebrating birthdays per se. Christmas comes from paganism and is meant to replace the Feasts of God mentioned in Leviticus 23. We are told not to add or subtract from God's Law (Deuteronomy 4:2). A day like Hanukkah is OK, because it does not come from paganism and isn't meant to add or subtract from God's Law. The Feasts of God have symbolism for God's redemption plan for humanity and bring us closer to Christ. The Holy Days of which are Sabbaths.

@thirdeaglebooks Human beings do not have the right to decide how they will worship God. God gave us His feasts in Leviticus 23. People can't take days and decide to "Christianize" them, and think that they are Holy like the ones in Leviticus. God alone decides the days that are Holy. He never gave us Christmas or Easter or any of the other days that Rome imposed to replace the Feast Days of God. I think those who observe Christmas have good intentions, but are misled.

Whatever the Church binds and looses on Earth must be in harmony with what has already been bound and loosed in Heaven. That's different from a Heavenly endorsement of the RCC's actions. And the Church was run by a plurality of elders in the Bible. It was never one man in a pyramidal-structured institution like in the OT. Peter did not command authority over others. Read Acts 15.

@thirdeaglebooks Peter was the foundation on which Christ built the Church. It still doesn't give him authority over others. Acts 15 shows that James' decision was used, not Peter's. Then the elders along with the apostles sent a letter to the Gentiles. They agreed on James' judgment. It was no one man acting alone. I'm not denying the greatness of Peter. He was one of the most important apostles because of the way God chose to use him. But there's no line of bishops or popes from Peter.

I believe they way the Anti Christ may change time in a way that does not reference Jesus. He wants Jesus out of the picture. So if for instance 2013 is when the Anti Christ appears, he will say it is not the year 2013(which references Jesus) and give a new year. Maybe year 1, who knows. @DwellersoftheUnsafe Jesus talks more about the rapture than any other person, place or event in the entire Olivet Discourse. Read Matthew 24:37-51 and 25:1-13 which are all about the rapture. In Revelation, when Saint John talks about the raptured, he uses the terms "called" (Rev.19:6-9) and "redeemed" or "purchased" (Rev.14:2-5). @thirdeaglebooks i read Matt.24 and also Gen.7. Jesus said that it would be as the days of Noe were. If the tribulation is like the flood, then were should be on the Ark before the "windows of heaven are opened" as in Gen.7. Noah and his family and the animals were on the ark before the flood started. So my belief is we will be raptured before the Tribulation.
The Catholic Church co-opted all the old pagan holidays and made them its own in order to erase the old ones. Hence the Christmas tree and Easter egg. Doesn't mean they're not valid.
@burnstagger Many churches are doing the same now with Halloween. A church I used to attend in another city started Halloween costume parties for the kids with cider, donuts, prizes etc., and the kids got dressed up for a parade of Saints and the Priest tried to guess their identities. If you take the "treats" part of the holiday, make it Christian and leave out the "tricks", Halloween can become a true Holy day.
@thirdeaglebooks I believe this was how Halloween got popularized by the Church as well - they commandeered the old pagan holiday, renamed it All Hallows' Eve (Halloween) in honor of All Saints Day the next day, then had kids dress up as demons in order to mock the devil on his own holiday. What you are saying just doesn't make any sense at all. The new age movement and the maitreya or anti-Christ are spiritual and religious movements. They are not atheists. In their own writing they condemn atheists. The one world religion of the anti-Christ is simply not compatible with atheistic communism. Even new age cults, yoga and meditation groups were persecuted in communist countries. If the anti-Christ will demand people worship him as God, how can atheists and communists comply???

Constantine and Martin Luther changed the true word and celebrations to their pagan ways. All religions have pagan ways and are decieved by them. We will be going through a terrible economic depression like no other soon and there will be vasts suicides and murders. I am a Catholic and have a lot of respect for this man but some things are a little strange for me to take. One main thing I can think about just now is that according to scripture Jesus said that nobody knows when he will come back to earth and only the Father knows that. This is quite confusing as to when Jesus will come back. Obama is not the antichrist but behaves mighty strange like that kind of gives him away at the anti-christ. So many people ask that same question.

@TheJules1003 We can never know the timing of the Rapture and we must keep oil in our lamps and our wick trimmed at all times (sexual purity). However, we CAN determine Jesus' coming at Armageddon which occurs, I believe, some time in the fall of 2017. The reason we need to know that date is because we will be going through the great tribulation at that time, which Jesus said will be the worst period in human history, and we will need assurance that it will end and Jesus will return victorious.

@asas2jh Of course, Jesus' parable must be understood as symbolic. There aren't any oil stores open at midnight either. Keeping oil in your lamp and your wick trimmed is symbolic of sexual purity. That's why Jesus said the end times would be as in the days of Noah and Lot. All you need to do to find out that sexual impurity is the chief temptation of these end times is check out the tabloids as you go through a supermarket check out.

I believe most who are studious would agree that Christmas is a pagan holiday - started by pagans and I find it hard to believe that God would want us to celebrate the wicked customs of the pagans.
A closer inspection on the subject would lead the Biblical student to delve deeper into the scriptures in order to find truth. The one who seeks to please God would more than likely not be willing to just go along with things because everyone else does, but would instead keep praying for guidance.

Where is this information coming from?? Guessing on this material is trivial, sir. When the time comes for the antichrist, God's people shall be lifted to heaven. @Insidapc There's nothing wrong with celebrating birthdays per se. Christmas comes from paganism and is meant to replace the Feasts of God mentioned in Leviticus 23. We are told not to add or subtract from God's Law (Deuteronomy 4:2). A day like Hanukkah is OK, because it does not come from paganism and isn't meant to add or subtract from God's Law. The Feasts of God have symbolism for God's redemption plan for humanity and bring us closer to Christ. The Holy Days of which are Sabbaths.

@thirdeaglebooks Human beings do not have the right to decide how they will worship God. God gave us His feasts in Leviticus 23. People can't take days and decide to "Christianize" them, and think that they are Holy like the ones in Leviticus. God alone decides the days that are Holy. He never gave us Christmas or Easter or any of the other days that Rome imposed to replace the Feast Days of God. I think those who observe Christmas have good intentions, but are misled.

Whatever the Church binds and looses on Earth must be in harmony with what has already been bound and loosed in Heaven. That's different from a Heavenly endorsement of the RCC's actions. And the Church was run by a plurality of elders in the Bible. It was never one man in a pyramidal-structured institution like in the OT. Peter did not command authority over others. Read Acts 15.

@thirdeaglebooks Peter was the foundation on which Christ built the Church. It still doesn't give him authority over others. Acts 15 shows that James' decision was used, not Peter's. Then the elders along with the apostles sent a letter to the Gentiles. They agreed on James' judgment. It was no one man acting alone. I'm not denying the greatness of Peter. He was one of the most important apostles because of the way God chose to use him. But there's no line of bishops or popes from Peter.

I believe they way the Anti Christ may change time in a way that does not reference Jesus. He wants Jesus out of the picture. So if for instance 2013 is when the Anti Christ appears, he will say it is not the year 2013(which references Jesus) and give a new year. Maybe year 1, who knows. That would make sense to alot of unbelievers and won't confuse everybody. Just a thought. I can't imagine that the Antichrist is not a clever deciver.

@DwellersoftheUnsafe Jesus talks more about the rapture than any other person, place or event in the entire Olivet Discourse. Read Matthew 24:37-51 and 25:1-13 which are all about the rapture. In Revelation, when Saint John talks about the raptured, he uses the terms "called" (Rev.19:6-9) and "redeemed" or "purchased" (Rev.14:2-5). If the tribulation is like the flood, then were should be on the Ark before the "windows of heaven are opened" as in Gen.7. Noah and his family and the animals were on the ark before the flood started. So my belief is we will be raptured before the Tribulation.

A church I used to attend in another city started Halloween costume parties for the kids with cider, donuts, prizes etc., and the kids got dressed up for a parade of Saints and the Priest tried to guess their identities. If you take the "treats" part of the holiday, make it Christian and leave out the "tricks", Halloween can become a true Holy day.

What you are saying just doesn't make any sense at all. The new age movement and the maitreya or anti-Christ are spiritual and religious movements. They are not atheists. In their own writing they condemn atheists. The one world religion of the anti-Christ is simply not compatible with atheistic communism. Even new age cults, yoga and meditation groups were persecuted in communist countries. If the anti-Christ will demand people worship him as God, how can atheists and communists comply???

I use the terms "Catholic" and "Protestant" loosely. St. John never uses those terms. He gives each of the four groups who will reign during the Millennium, 12 characteristics each, and everyone on earth, with enough grace, could fall into one of these four categories. @eggsterguy Whenever prayer is addressed to anyone, it is to be done to God! There is no scriptural basis for praying to Mary , addressing her as holy Mary, or calling her our life and our hope. Part of Hail Mary is a direct quote from Luke 1:28. Also parts of the Hail, Holy Queen are blatantly unbiblical. This is of the deceptions that God's word warns us to watch for in the last days. The two "is fallens" refer to America and Great Britain. The same with the word "double" (18:6) and "woe, woe" (Rev. 18:10, 16 & 19). These are the same as the two horns on the ram in Daniel 8 and the same as the "lion" and the "leopard" in Daniel 7. America and Great Britain are the two primary countries of Capitalism (Babylon). Another example, the "purple" symbolizes the royalty of Britain while the "scarlet" symbolizes the bloody American Revolution. WAKE UP AMERICA, YOU ARE BABYLON!
