This game and The Warriors are my favorite Beat 'em Ups. I'd LOVE to see an anime of this game in the style of like Yu Yu Hakusho or Dragon Ball, but a movie if they did.

I hear you people dissing Double Dragon over this, and Double Dragon is one of the best beat 'em ups of all time, as well as one of the greatest games of all time. This game is also great, but I like Double Dragon better.

Super/Return of Double Dragon is actually pretty decent. However, the entire game is left unfinished, as only part of the plot was mentioned but never included in the game. Double Dragon II is actually the best in the DD trilogy, mainly the NES and PC Engine versions. It had Billy and Jimmy Lee avenging the death of Marian at the hands of the Shadow Warriors, and that they had to defeat the leader of the Shadow Warriors to avenge her death (and also resurrect her). You should try it, it's good.

@BobelVago Part 2 is good until you reach level 6 then you fall into dark pits of doom... super dd was the most fun in my humble opinion, dd3 for nes was and is a decent game..nothing better than dd2..

Without RCR there'd be no DD though.
