The Chargers need to fire Norv Turner quickly. His mediocrity bug is hurting their QB and their chance at the playoffs. Norv is a great offensive mind, but he is a mediocre head coach. I watched him coach the Redskins for 7 years and they were a carbon copy of what the Chargers do: they look good for a few games and then it seems they work hard to blow games. Take it to the bank: As long Norv is the head coach, the Bolts will continue to be a ho-hum team in a division they should be dominating.
And there went the first of only three good chances for the Packers to lose a game this year. Some sportswriters are predicting the Packers to go 16-0, but I don't see it. They have 3 wins by 8 points or less because the defense isn't good enough. The only two remaining hurdles are @Detroit and @ the Giants in back-to-back games. I think its more likely they'll go 0-2 in that stretch than 2-0. This isn't the same caliber as the Patriots a couple years ago.
I'm not a Chargers fan but Rivers is on pace to throw 4,900 yards (3rd in NFL history). He hasn't had Antionio Gates or other top receiving options in many games so far and even if they did play, they haven't been able to practice(hence the picks). SD is in a 3 way tie in the AFC West at 4-4. All of their loses except 1 have been by 7 points or less. I agree they are overrated but talking sports with Ben is like talking rocket science with a 4 year old, he's dumbing you down Rick! CAREFUL!!!
