  • These are not spotted dolphins. They are very rare in the arabian gulf. These are actually common dolphins. You can tell by the lighter grey colouring on their bellies and faces. This is one of the most distressing videos ive seen in a long time, and I praise the people that helped the dolphins back to sea, no matter how they did it. It's the ones standing around with video cameras that i dont understand. How can you just watch animals in such distress without doing the best you can?

  • What caused the dolphins to get stranded?

  • When people work together for a good cause we make other beings happy.

  • Its like a concert disaster!

  • I've see trainers do alot worse to whales and dolphins. I've seen them get on them, attaching on to them by their fin...

I think pulling them by their tails is the best option. It's 100% better than leaving them to die. Just imagine 100 dolphins dying that day. I didn't see any of the dolphins get injured!!

So congrats to all that helped!! BAVO!!

  • that squeeky noise kinda annoying for my ears but thats sweet of everyone tryna help the dolphins get back to the water...

  • it's break my heart, nice job!

  • TRUE heroes! Good job to everyone who helped!

  • Please do not pull dolphins on their tail or grab their dorsal fins like this. It makes them panic and can harm them.

  • would you prefer they left them to die?im sure its not something they would usually do, (pull on their tail or grab their dorsal fin), how else do you suggest moving a heavy dolphin?

  • I merely pointed out how it shouldn't be done and why. In general, single dolphins shouldn't be returned into the water at all, as they often beach (themselves) when they are sick or when they are being pursued by a predator. Here, we have a different situation, of course; this community got stranded because of a misunderstanding.

Anyway, I always calm an individual for a while, built some trust and then carry them - in case their weight allows it. Pulling their tail would be my last option.

  • If you had 200 dolphins to shift you'd do it any way you could. If the treatment was a bit rough it might teach them not to be so stupid in future.

  • @Ilavenya what... panic more than dieing on a beach? good job to these people

  • well done to all the people who helped but i cant believe so many people just stood and watched!!! heartless ideots

  • Yes I agree, especially the white guy stood there gossiping (at 3.28)when a dolphin a few feet away was practically dead, well done to the helpers, true heros

  • don't dolphins breathe air... u know they are mammals... the only thing that'd kill them is like a panic attack or starvation

  • but in oman it gets over 50 degrees centegrade so they acn easily be sunburned, and sunbburn can kill a dolphin

  • oooh

  • They can die quite easily out of water due to heat exhaustion.

  • Amazing video and really good work of the people to help the dolphins to get back in the open sea.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • good job to all that HELPED. i would had if i was their, if women we allowed??

  • @TwoBurningStars

  • Help them U CUNTS

  • watch the whole video dickhead

  • good job guys

  • Mahalo for the dolphins!

  • I love dolphins and love to see videos related to them at splashvision . com.

  • they safe the dolphins?

    very good

  • I don't understand why there are loads of people on their phones videoing and not helping the poeple in the water actually doing something.

  • I saw a guy dragging one of those dolphins away by the nose. Would that not hurt it? :o(

  • THAT..is just amazing..human saving the FISH :P

don;t you think they went to another beach to commit suicide

  • The dolphins were probably chasing a school of fish. The fish were heading towards the shallow water where the dolphins won't go. The dolphins chased after them (they were probably excited), not realizing it was too shallow until it was too late. Getting stuck on the sand, the wet sand acts like a suction and it is hard to get out.

  • WOW its so cool while ppl talkin bout mah country i Oman is dat Best but now its so weak goddamit quram n madina qabous n eveything r sinked by da twister jono

  • Some 100 Spinner dolphins have been saved from near death at the Shati Al Qurum beach [in the afternoon of 22nd January 2007], thanks to some quick thinking and a dramatic rescue operation by a team of local volunteers assisted by members of the public. See Khaleej Times of 24th January 2007 for the story. Sorry, YouTube won't let me post the url.
