  • Initially the Volt is expensive but overtime it saves money because it costs less to operate.

  • @vistarox you can buy an awefully lot of gas for the $20,000+ more that this costs compared to a regular car. by the time you make up for it, the battery probably has to be replaced and you're adding expense right back on.

  • so, could u get a monster battery in there and get like 200+ hp outa this thing? lmao

  • can the volt run on gas and electricity

  • @85funnyguy no. Only on electricity. there is a gas engine that only recharges the battery but does not affect the wheels.

  • its an ok car, give me a car while does NOT have to go to a GAS station for GAS.....like Tesla

  • @llk310 Genius; some of us must drive more than 45 miles per trip, hence the gas engine.

  • when could be possible to make a car without use of petrol (to make plastics, to generate electricity for the tools, to fabricate tires, etc etc), i`ll believe in the possibility of a future petrol-free... today, if the only thing on this car that don`t use petrol is the tank, this is a lie, a marketing idea for sell cars to all the people who think "i`m saving the world..."

  • so once the battery gets low is the performance the same or lower???

  • @ericpinter29 It's the same.

  • @Joseph9536 thank you, they should explain that

  • wonder who's going to kill this electric car....

  • @fivebythree 41 grand a piece will kills it for me

  • I'd buy this car! But only if it came with a really long extension cord.

  • id buy this car if it came with a n spare ba tttery

  • damn they tried copying off the Prius and made it look better :)

  • Now that prius is off my shopping list, really as a result of toyotas terrible response, more than the actual issues, this car will be worth the wait by most indicators. If nothing else it looks better than the compitition

  • As usual Barry you're firmly in the driving seat, firmly in top gear speeding into a carbon-free future....

....while the rest of us are just pottering around in our old jalopies.

  • @davidpaulwignall Carbon free future? The earth is comprised mainly of carbon.
