it's a console command to make the character scream like if he was about to die :P

just type in the console "vocalize playerdeath" (without the ") and you'll hear them screaming!

Yeah i really need some help coz fraps gave up on me. For some reason when i record l4d gameplay this past 2 days the framerate drops to 60 - 10, its so much laggy. i did run anti virus, install then uinstall fraps, set the affinity or priority in fraps, defragment and restart my high end pc multiple times.. but i didnt solve the problem..

what´s your max fps?

if it is, you´re playing with vsync on, and that´s why your fps drops a lot.

Usually when i record, my fps (with vsync off) stays at 60fps.

its acutally kinda weird now to use my fraps because before i usually set the vsync ON in l4d w/ mazx setting and 100fps configure(fraps), it turn out great. you can see it on my video.

but you just gave me an idea about vsync. What i did i turn off the vsync in my nvidia gpu and l4d then i set the affinity and priority to max settings for fraps but its still the same problem 8hrs ago... but now my fraps working ok now, framerates stay on 60fps on fraps.

hopefully fraps stay 60fps tomorrow..coz i realize that sometimes my fraps work great and sometimes not when i turn off the vsync....weird...

i have 40 to 60 fps normally because i usually host the games, so my pc have to do all the calculations and stuff...

+... i play with vsync on, so, my "max" fps is 60...

if i turn the vsync off, the game goes to 180 to 230fps, but then i miss some details, like motion blur and i stress my eyes :P

Oh... and using that + recording with fraps = CAOS

maximum performance loss... :P
