I bought 2 of them recently... and after discovering the toys I nearly started to cry :'( the toys were without stikers and in a single Color! The good old hand painted figures are gone forver (but, I still have 800 of them :)!
I opened one yesterday and found a miniature car that was actually quite adorable. I am giving more to my siblings for Christmas and will report back if I remember to.
Don't lose faith in Kinder Surprise! I recently bought them and gotten really awesome toys! Coincidentally I talked about them in my first vlog! Do check it out! :)
Omg, the toys used to be awesome in my childhood, now they're rubbish. I remember that the capsule was really difficult to open, but the chocolate is delicious.
Mine were always like smaller harder candies (American version). Sometime I would get stickers.Sometimes... And the same thing has happened to Cracker Jacks. Which is caramel covered popcorn with peanuts. The prizes are just piece of paper now. You use to get little whistles, little mazes where you had to get the little ball in the hole, cheap compasses, and stuff like that. So I know what you're feeling. It's a total let down now.
We had something like this in the US called Wonderball. But like most American remakes, it was an epic-fail. I have had Kinder Surprise before though! My German teacher gave me one, the toy inside was a three-piece dolphin you had to build. So cool, I wish they sold them here.
I loved Kindersurprise as a kid too! Like you Aussies...we in Canada also walk on the wild side. We love our children to choke on such wonderful toys!
Disappointing to see such crappy things inside them now :(
Wow! Now I know why I can't get those here. I have had a few. But I was always perplexed why I could not find them. The Kinder commercials are creepy though. I guess I can order them and have them shipped.
@tezziToo I got something like the first toy before, i pressed a bunch of random buttons and a little frisby popped out. the secound one looked like an animal. maybe a scorpion. the third
@tezziToo I got something like the first toy before, i pressed a bunch of random buttons and a little frisby popped out. the secound one looked like an animal. maybe a scorpion. the third looked like a poorly painted turtle. #4 looks like a garbage rat covered in lint.
The fact that they have never had these in America - at least during my lifetime - is really upsetting to me. Even with bad toys, I am going to Australia, and I am eating all of the Kinder Surprises that I can fit into my stomach to make up for lost time.
I think in the states we tend to eat sorta like snakes eating things hole so they have to save us from our selfs.Congrats on getting partnered you are fun to watch.
I'm miss the old classic kinder toys, recently all I've had are statue-y things that require no building. They all used to need building, it's an outrage!
I think I just cried a little Terri because like you the kinder surprise was quite a staple of my joyful youth and to find out that the kinder surprises are now, for lack of a better word, lame! I am severely heart broken. O, and by the way, I think you hurt the "lamb's" and the turtles feelings.
I personally was a fan of the old kinder eggs but now they make these HUGE kinder eggs when its easter. They taste just as good and they are massive, the toy is like a "Real" toy :P Last time i got one of those i got a speedboat that roadrunner was driving and coyote was holding onto a rope. You would pull the rope while the boat is in the water and it would drive off. It was fun :P
It's just as nostalgic for me as it is for you terri. I grew up eating this stuff. Always hated assembling the surprises, but heck...Not a surprise for a chocolate fanatic :P

i love these, in germany (-: the toys are usually way more interesting
(maybe because that's where they're from). When I was little they had this awesome happy hippo series with little hippopotamuses at the beach.
I still buy them sometimes because I really like the taste of chocolate (-: There was this really cool series around christmas which was a mixture of smth hard, snowman/santa throwing min presents made out of cardboard/paper so cute
Ah, the good times when one could find plastic cats dressed up as Ancient Egyptians in one's Kinder Surprise... Also, what's with the new capsule? Spending five whole minutes trying to open it was part of the fun!
We have these in Canada and I still love them at 43. I buy them for my son, who actually doesn't care for them. lol.
They have a law in the US that nothing to eat can be sold with inedible ingredients in the center. What child would pop something that large in their mouths and not notice the plastic?
I also am disappointed by the non-build it yourself kinder toys!
Yeah the law seems strange. I guess it's important in some cases, but Kinder Surprises aren't that bad. And it really should be up to the parents of small children to make sure their kids aren't eating stuff like that in the first place!
@KennyDeMeersman You know I think they've changed the chocolate since I was a kid? Or maybe my chocolate tastes have just improved since then ;D Anyway, I agree that it's certainly not the best chocolate these days!
the first egg is meant to be a airplane just straighten the tail then off you goooo
matanui23 13 hours ago
we in the philipines never had those :(
matanui23 13 hours ago
The reason we aren't allowed to have them in America is because kids here are much much more irresponsible and immature for your ages at the time.
