i think by not being able to see as many notes as an uncovered screen, he doesn't have to see as many notes, to there is less notes for yuor brain to process being on the screen, possibly avoiding confusion, with incredibly fast notes?

This is a very very old arguement...But Hyperspeed is NOT cheat, Guitar Hero labeled as a cheat and so people think it is. Other rhythm based games have it but it's not called Hyperspeed there...Anyways, it's an aid to some people because it speeds up the track but spaces out the notes SO YOU CAN READ THE NOTES BETTER. Not all people like it, some do. I happen to love it, and it helps great for solo's. So don't tell people if they should use it or not.

If you're going for an FC, it'd probably be better to use a 2 for the third activation to have more OD for the solo, in which case you'd also want to delay the solo activation until after the sustains to get more of the "nonstop" part.

Its just your preference, its whatever suits you. If I have it much higher then it doesn't do much, too low and I don't react fast enough. Just give it a try and keep changing the position in practice and if you see any improvement in your play then you know who to thank LOL =D
