  • I just noticed in the description that you have mechanical injection. You must be one hell of a tuner to make it so livable. Also wondering how close timewise is the nearest drag strip to Watkins Glen. That is the best, most fun place we've been to see a cup race so far and next time we come up there I'd love to try and go to a strip, hopefully on street night.

  • Thanks for the reply. I stopped paying any attention to NMCA street car racing many years ago. It was great in the begining but once Musi, Christian, and Glidden and the tractor trailers showed up it was no longer interesting to me. Hot Rods pump gas drags and drag week are pretty cool with Frierburger and friends not allowing the over the top stuff in. I'm happy to go to street night a few times a year at Lebanon Valley. I'm working on a stock chassis 440 Duster now.

  • I went to the sprint cup race in Watkins Glen in 2009. I think I saw that car cruising in town during all the festivities. It was either this car or one that looked just like it. I was really impressed by the good drivability it displayed and blown away by the sheer bad ass nature of it. Really, really nice.

  • It was purchased from my father, in Maryland, its a 509 cubic inch, with sunny lenard heads, dominic carpenter build the chassy. Mike Ross was the one who it was purchased from, who is my father. It was definitely geared to kill when it ran on Cam II race fuel, and the blower was overdriven. The car originally had a gray interior and the front end used to slide off, instead of tilting. I definitely like how its connected and how you got it to tilt now. Steering column looks different also.

  • @MyGirl22001 Ding... Ding... Ding... Ding. Ladies and Gentlemen... We have a winner!

I'm really kinda suprised, but you're the first one on the Tube to recognize her since she left Glen Bernie. Well.. except for "Woody", but he see's it all the time so that probably doesn't count. I sent you a fairly long email a couple of days ago. Hope you received it OK? I hate to type for a half an hour and then just have it disappear!!

  • Talk about a fun to drive car.. glad to see it getting the love and use it deserves.. It once ran on cam racing fuel.. It was the first pro street car i ever drove :)

  • @MyGirl22001 Do you know this car? I'd be interested to hear any past history if you have any. Yes, it did run on Cam II when the blower was geared up to "kill". If it's the car You think it is, can you verify by naming the original owner, engine or chassis builder? Or some other personal info that only you or I might know? No pressure, I'm just curious. And yes... it gets lots of love & use.

  • That's beautiful dude.

  • thats insane!!!
