@LaxLune I looked up the average amount of tornadoes per year in the U.S. and the number of Strong (F3-F5) tornadoes per state is virtually the same today as compared to the 1950's, if not actually lower. (for example: 1955-1959 Avg. 38.4 per versus 2005-2009 Avg. 23.8). The highest year was 1974, and that was during the "New Ice Age" ridiculousness.
As for earthquakes I can't find any geological service that has ever tried to tie i earthquakes with "changing climates".

1 - they can swim VAST distances so the info about their habitat's "destruction" are out right lies.
2 - Because there is more accesss to water, it's easyer for them to kill seals, what they eat, if it were colder, like y'all want then they would have to walk or swim WAY more just to find a seal.

I don't think this is wrong at all. Obviously climate change is going to happen no matter what we do, but if we take a stand now we can at least retard it's advancement. People who don't believe in this are either old and uncaring about a future so far, or don't have/ want children themselves. If there is an excess of carbon dioxide, do you really think plants can process ALL of it? Plants only help convert some of the CO2 to O2. Except that forests and other plantlife around the world are thriving, thanks to all that extra CO2. Even rainforests, as determined by satellite measurements, have been *increasing* - turns out they recover formerly cleared areas a lot faster than we expected.
We've been in a CO2 famine for a very long time. Rarely have levels been as low as they are now, and only once have both low temperatures and low CO2 levels happened in tandem.

I think using children in this video is perfect. This video made me cry. I volunteered on oct 24 for the International Day of Climate Action and cried that day as well. I cried because the only thing that matters to me in this world is my child and she's all I could think about that day. Without fresh air and clean water she has no future on this planet. I don't get why everyone thinks global warming is a scam. We know cars emit carbon dioxide, we know carbon dioxide prevents heat from being released back into space, and we know the average planet tempertaure is at least six degrees greater than normal. Just because something is hard to swollow, does'nt mean that it isn't true.
we know that the sun heats the earth and that periods of higher solar activity cause the earth to warm up, we also know that co2 is a minor greenhouse gas which helps plants grown and is very easily absorbed by the biosphers. We also know that the average global temperature has been going down for the last years and that this means that in the last 120 years we have seen a cold periods followed by a warm then cold then warm then cold period, this can be proven with statistics.
According to this video, kids are now the only ones still falling for this bogus theory, probably because they are spoon fed this propaganda in school. Maybe someday they'll learn that all this propaganda is just a political power grab that will waste their money before they reach the age of maturity.

No one is posing any religion on anyone. Scientific studies are, indeed, peer reviewed and the collective body of work on climate change is overwhelming. Al Gore profiting financially or politically doesn't change the reality that there is a significant man-made impact on our atmosphere, among many other things. I've listened to the skeptics out there, and let me tell you, it's a fairly motley crew that inevitably skews interpretations by ignoring data and simplifying the issue.

Being energy efficient and recycling ARE necessary in order to stop all the waste going on. Stop labeling me as a person who doesn't care about the natural environment. All I'm saying is that the process used by the IPCC seems to be so politically motivated. These specific reduction targets are a farce! Yes polar bear population has increased, 3 reasons.
1 - they can swim VAST distances so the info about their habitat's "destruction" are out right lies.
2 - Because there is more accesss to water, it's easyer for them to kill seals, what they eat, if it were colder, like y'all want then they would have to walk or swim WAY more just to find a seal.
3 - oOver the past few decades no one has been hunting them, so they only have competition from each other.

Maybe I am a moron, but when the ice caps for the most part are expanding, the polar population is higher now than what it was 40 years ago, plants grow better when there more CO2, when CO2 makes up less than 5% of the atmosphere and man makes up for less than 20% of the worlds CO2 emissions, i become rather skeptical of man made gwarming, all of Al Gore's fear mongering and this dreadful commercial which is just sick.

@FriendlyWords Climate change is very complex, with no one things responsible for change. Ultimately, the sun is resonsible for climate, but things like geography and catastrophic events (think Krakatao). Cloud cover and where clouds are located can have either a positive or negative feedback.
Truth is, while we've learned a lot of about climate in the last 75 years or so, we actually know very little.

I don't think this is wrong at all. Obviously climate change is going to happen no matter what we do, but if we take a stand now we can at least retard it's advancement. People who don't believe in this are either old and uncaring about a future so far, or don't have/ want children themselves. If there is an excess of carbon dioxide, do you really think plants can process ALL of it? Plants only help convert some of the CO2 to O2. And hey, forests are being destroyed by the effects of global warming as well as ignorant human activities (i.e. deforestation), so that will only contribute to the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere. -.-''

Except that forests and other plantlife around the world are thriving, thanks to all that extra CO2. Even rainforests, as determined by satellite measurements, have been *increasing* - turns out they recover formerly cleared areas a lot faster than we expected.
We've been in a CO2 famine for a very long time. Rarely have levels been as low as they are now, and only once have both low temperatures and low CO2 levels happened in tandem.

I don't care and I'll respect your opinion even though I highly disagree with it. Most young people don't really care about global warming anyways there are more pressing issues. There is too much missing science for it to be believeable.

I think using children in this video is perfect. This video made me cry. I volunteered on oct 24 for the International Day of Climate Action and cried that day as well. I cried because the only thing that matters to me in this world is my child and she's all I could think about that day. Without fresh air and clean water she has no future on this planet. Please seek FACTS and EVIDENCE before insinuating there is no threat to life for humans and no environmental catastrophe at hand. Thanks.

Oh and about those "saving the planet": the planet is one big rock in space. It's a physical phenomenon, composed of numerous forces interacting. No nedd for details, who knows them all anyways? Well, the planet will just change because of us. We are trying to save OURSELVES.

I don't get why everyone thinks global warming is a scam. We know cars emit carbon dioxide, we know carbon dioxide prevents heat from being released back into space, and we know the average planet tempertaure is at least six degrees greater than normal. Just because something is hard to swollow, does'nt mean that it isn't true.

we know that the sun heats the earth and that periods of higher solar activity cause the earth to warm up, we also know that co2 is a minor greenhouse gas which helps plants grown and is very easily absorbed by the biosphers. We also know that the average global temperature has been going down for the last years and that this means that in the last 120 years we have seen a cold periods followed by a warm then cold then warm then cold period, this can be proven with statistics.

According to this video, kids are now the only ones still falling for this bogus theory, probably because they are spoon fed this propaganda in school. Actually, I think climate change is too often stealing the spotlight.
What we should teach our children is
to share, to respect and to not hurt others.
Which should translate to the global level. Those ressources comes from somewhere else, we have too much when a lot of people have so little... We use products that are harmful to the environment, it hurts other species, etc. These issues are real and we need to change for the sake of our own species.

In my opinion we are in a serious economic crisis here and will likely be living very poorly in the future due to government sucking up too many resources and squandering them. The best thing you could teach your kids is private property rights and anything Ron Paul talks about.

what ? We're not in such a serious economic crisis and the only reason why you would be living poorly is due to yourself and bad choices. Ron Paul? No thanks, Im actually quite happy that I could go freely to the Hospital when I needed it and that I only have to pay 1000$ for a semester in a good University. In a few years, I will pay gladly my taxes and eventually teach my children about respect, environnement and sharing.

Remember when I talked about taxes? Those are paying for the hospital bills. =.='' It isnt too hard to understand, we put our money in a big pot and the government is redistributing it. Sure.. Sometimes its corrupted and money do fly away and disapear.. But a lot of it helps the general population. If it wasnt of the government, I would have never got into the school im currently in. Someone somewhere paid for it - thanks.

you're confusing pollution and climate change. Originally this was a pollution movement but it has been highjacked for as a new threat and taxes. The irony is the companies doing the polluting will make the most profits off of the new taxes, regulations, ect.

No Im not, Im perfectly aware of both of them, byt the person I was talking with didnt believe in GW so I spoke to him about pollution instead. Earlier I also said that too often global warming steal the spotlight when direct consequences of pollution would make people react more quickly. People wont do anything for something 1. they dont 100% believe in 2. that isnt happening now (because most of the population cant see long term)
