@BlueDinosaur457 The Beatles didn't start rock. They started a genre of rock called psychedelic rock. The Byrds and the Yardbirds also helped to start it up. While there is a lot of debate, Jackie Brenston's Rocket 88 is generally considered the first rock song(1951). However, among all of debate, Elvis is generally considered to have given rock the largest push forward.
