Well the assumption that most lesbians hate men is a fallacy. As far as choice of style that is not universal to all lesbians. As far as some lesbian portraying a more masculine gender role is more a product of culture. Culture says that every relationship has a dominant and submissive counterpart. Couples of all orientations tend to play into these rigid gender roles, it is just more apparent when a woman does it. That is not to say all couples play into rigid gender roles but many do.
As a side note, it is common for the victim of any abuse to try to regain their loss power by emulating their abuser. This is not to say that they themselves will abuse but rather that they prefer to feel in control because they had their basic autonomy stripped from them against their will.

Well the assumption that most lesbians hate men is a fallacy. As far as choice of style that is not universal to all lesbians. As far as some lesbian portraying a more masculine gender role is more a product of culture. Culture says that every relationship has a dominant and submissive counterpart. Couples of all orientations tend to play into these rigid gender roles, it is just more apparent when a woman does it. That is not to say all couples play into rigid gender roles but many do.

As a side note, it is common for the victim of any abuse to try to regain their loss power by emulating their abuser. This is not to say that they themselves will abuse but rather that they prefer to feel in control because they had their basic autonomy stripped from them against their will.

i sopose it has something to do with male aggressiveness.
When a male takes a girlfriend from another guy he does so alot of times with ill intent and there are hormone filled males who will even brag and badmouth the ex boyfriend of that girl.
On the other hand i don't know about guys stealing girls from lesbians or lesbian girls taking other lesbian girl's girlfriend because i never saw that or experienced it.
