There are so many similarities in Cabo Verde Creole and the Papiamento language of Curacao, Bonaire, and Aruba islands in the Caribbean. Papiamento is a mix of Portuguese and some Dutch words. The former slaves from these were probably from Cabo Verde or any Portuguese territories at the time, no wonder the languages are basically the same. Amazing.
